Episode 15 recap: Million's Whims with Qu Zheng
In Episode 15, Su Zhuo Zhuo is dedicated to helping Million, feeding her a mountain of medicine, even including some bizarre-tasting powders. However, Million's body seems impervious, showing no reaction at all. Frustrated, Su Zhuo Zhuo presents a variety of strange dishes. Although Million grimaces, she forces herself to eat, but the flavors are indescribable and the effects minimal.
When the big pill finally makes its appearance, even Jin Mu Qiu can't help but question Su Zhuo Zhuo's medical skills. Million continues to cooperate, but when Qu Zheng shows up with a serious expression, saying she shouldn't take the medicine anymore, Million, momentarily confused, swallows it anyway. The medicine is not suitable, and she begins to babble incoherently. Qu Zheng, noticing this, quickly picks her up and tries to calm her down.
After some time, Million regains her composure. Qu Zheng, feeling sorry for her, advises her to stop fixating on recovering her lost memories. However, Million firmly states that she wants to protect Qu Zheng. This sentiment warms Qu Zheng's heart, reminding him of the time Million saved him from danger, a kindness he will never forget.
Meanwhile, Su Zhuo Zhuo is baffled as to why her medicine isn't working. When Song Jian Shan passes by, he can't resist making some jokes, which leads Su Zhuo Zhuo to suspect him of tampering with the medicine.
As a master storyteller, Jin Mu Qiu starts to speculate, thinking that Qu Zheng is preventing Million from regaining her memory out of fear that she might rekindle old feelings for Qing Yun. Influenced by their words, Million starts to believe this and decides to team up with them to test Qu Zheng. She asks Qu Zheng to supervise the medicine preparation, but when he suggests adding some sugar to improve the taste, the three misinterpret his intentions, and Qu Zheng leaves feeling misunderstood.
On another front, in the Ninefold Abyss, Jing Yuan harshly punishes Qing Yun for clashing with him over A Chu. Zi Jing shares what he learned from the Hidden Snow Village, shocking Jing Yuan, who suspects that Qu Zheng might be the one who injured him and even speculates that the person isn't truly dead!
Feeling guilty for wrongly accusing Qu Zheng, Million wants to apologize, but Qu Zheng ignores her. Observing this, Song Jian Shan offers Million a tip on how to charm him. When she tries it, the results are immediate, nearly breaking Qu Zheng's serious demeanor. Seeing Qu Zheng smile, Million realizes he isn't genuinely angry and seizes the moment to bring up her memory recovery. Qu Zheng doesn’t dodge the topic but expresses concern that those memories might not be pleasant. Million insists that those memories are part of her, and she must recover them to unravel the mystery at hand.
Meanwhile, Lin Feng endures numerous hardships to reach the Listening Qin Courtyard, only to find the barrier still in place, preventing his entry. Upon learning about Jin Mu Qiu from Qu Zheng, he asks her if she wishes to return to the Peach Blossom Valley. Jin Mu Qiu clearly states that she does not want to go back, prompting Qu Zheng to show Lin Feng Jin Mu Qiu's new story and assure him that she is willingly staying and doing well.
Lin Feng, however, remains skeptical, believing that Jin Mu Qiu is being coerced by Qu Zheng. He keeps a close eye on Jin Mu Qiu's story, suspecting it contains clues from Qiu Er.
Meanwhile, under torture, Qing Yun's mind is filled with memories of A Chu. When Zi Jing visits him, he is shocked to see that even in dire circumstances, Qing Yun still longs for A Chu.
Qing Yun's attitude shifts dramatically; he demands to see the palace master, vowing to uncover A Chu's "crimes" and pointing the finger at Qu Zheng...
