Episode 12 recap: Harryk Bought a New Motorcycle

In Episode 12, Lin Ye, the financial director and trusted assistant of General Zhao, finds herself torn as the company faces numerous challenges. With debts piling up and investors pulling out, she is perplexed by Zhao's insistence on pouring substantial funds into a rally project unrelated to the company's core business. After twelve years of working together, she holds deep respect for Zhao, but life’s pressures force her to make a difficult choice. Leaving a letter and financial documents behind, Lin quietly takes over five million she is owed, including shares and bonuses, bidding farewell to her past with the company.

She silently wishes Zhao success, while choosing to carve out a new path for herself. Zhao is left shocked and helpless by Lin's actions and ultimately decides to report her to the authorities. This unexpected turn of events disrupts Zhao's plans entirely, halting the rally project and plunging him into an unprecedented crisis due to a severed funding chain. Although his ex-wife learns of his troubles and offers to use their divorce settlement to help, Zhao, concerned about the wellbeing of her and their daughter, politely declines, assuring her he will reach out if he needs assistance.

Meanwhile, Beike is also in dire straits after losing Zhao's investment, with only thirty thousand left in the company account. His friend Pota, seeing his distress, decides to take him to Kunhai for a break. Understanding Beike's fear of horseback riding stems from a troubling experience in the grasslands, Pota cleverly uses horseback riding as a form of therapy, allowing Beike to release his stress while galloping.

This outing prompts Beike to open up to Pota about his deep connection with motorcycles and his unwavering dream of hosting a rally. Moved by Beike's plight, Pota generously offers to use his nine motorcycle shops (actually eight plus his own) as collateral to help Beike in his time of need, leaving Beike deeply touched.

In order to raise funds, Beike reluctantly puts his shop up as collateral and delivers Zhao's beloved motorcycle to his doorstep, unable to confront him directly, leaving behind a silent apology and a sense of determination. Meanwhile, a heartwarming resolution occurs between Ha Li Ke and Xi Lin; Ha Li Ke takes the initiative to apologize, while Xi Lin reflects on his impulsiveness, and they mend their relationship.

Even more touching, Ha Li Ke's father sells the wedding house he had prepared for his son to support Ha Li Ke's dreams, raising ninety thousand. This heavy gesture of love fills Ha Li Ke with both gratitude and guilt, but he understands it as a validation and support for his aspirations from his family.

Faced with a financial shortfall, Beike and Pota scramble for solutions, ultimately turning to Shen Di for help. Without hesitation, Shen Di decides to lend a hand. Meanwhile, Ai Er Ken’s journey to compete faces setbacks when the second-hand motorcycle he purchased turns out to be stolen, leading the police to seek his assistance in their investigation, adding twists to his dream-chasing adventure.
