Episode 14 recap: Lin Hao Sells His Motorcycle to Save Aierken
In Episode 14, after Lin Hao and Halik finish their competition, they realize they can't reach Aierken. Rushing to his house, they find the door tightly closed. When they ask Sainam, they learn that Aierken was scammed while buying a car and ended up in the hospital after injuring a car thief. The thief is demanding a settlement of 100,000, which Aierken obviously can't afford. Lin Hao and Halik decide they need to make money quickly to help Aierken.
Unfortunately, just as luck would have it, Lin Hao has been scheduled to perform a motorcycle stunt for a restaurant opening. However, right before he goes on stage, the owner informs him that the property management won’t allow it. The plan falls apart, leaving him without any earnings and out the cost of the trailer.
Feeling guilty, the owner gives Lin Hao and Halik two red envelopes. Halik checks them and finds they’re filled with coins, totaling just 66 dollars—a real letdown. To make matters worse, they get a flat tire on the way home; trouble just keeps piling on.
At dinner, Lin Hao gets into an argument with his dad over the motorcycle situation. Shen Di offers Lin Hao a job and reveals that the final stage of the rally race investment was her idea.
Lin Hao doesn’t blame Shen Di; in fact, he wants her to be his manager. However, she declines, suggesting he should join Gu Cheng Feng’s team for professional support. Lin Hao disagrees with her assessment.
To save Aierken, Lin Hao and Halik decide to sell their motorcycles. Neither wants to part with their beloved bikes, but ultimately, Lin Hao resolves to talk to Gu Cheng Feng.
Gu Cheng Feng is pleased with Lin Hao and offers him a 30,000 entrance fee along with a salary, which would be a significant amount for Lin Hao. However, Lin Hao’s father strongly opposes the idea, viewing it as akin to selling his soul. He’s willing to pay to help Aierken, but Lin Hao refuses to use his father's money. Gu Cheng Feng also won’t accept Halik because he doesn’t meet the criteria, leaving Lin Hao in a tough spot. He ultimately decides to sell his motorcycle first.
Lin Hao negotiates with the owner, managing to get a maximum of 40,000, but they're still short 20,000. To his surprise, Halik shows up with his motorcycle, which he swapped for his brother’s house—it's very meaningful to him. However, to save Aierken, Halik decides to sell it anyway. Unfortunately, the bike has engine problems, and the owner refuses to take it. Halik doesn’t give up, but when he tries to start it, it won’t budge. Lin Hao watches anxiously and asks the owner to keep the bike, promising he will buy it back.
In the end, Lin Hao contacts Gu Cheng Feng again, deciding to join the racing team. He realizes this is the quickest way to get the money to save Aierken. Though he feels reluctant, reality forces Lin Hao to make this choice.
