Episode 16 recap: Lin Hao Joins Gu Cheng Feng's Training Team

In Episode 16, Shen Di comes up with an ambitious idea: to create a starry campsite. This plan aims not only to attract cycling enthusiasts but also to engage the local community. By doing so, they can showcase the unique cultural charm of the area and promote local attractions, such as the delicious cuisine from Xinjiang.

The town mayor and Hao Qiang are both enthusiastic about Shen Di's proposal, especially the mayor, who views Shen Di in a new light and praises his creativity.

Aierken, a warm-hearted individual, invites Lin Hao and Halik to dinner, hoping to mend any lingering tension between them. Lin Hao, feeling relaxed, assures Halik that he’s long moved past their earlier issues. Halik, though not very talkative, asks Lin Hao about his plans for departure. This face-to-face meeting helps both men reach an understanding. For them, motorcycles are not just machines; they represent their lives. Halik envisions riding alongside his brother, enjoying the journey together, while Lin Hao has his own dreams of becoming a top racer. In the racing world, every competitor can be a brother, but that doesn’t mean they need to stick together every day.

Halik realizes that their paths are different and that they must forge their own ways. As Halik finds himself with fewer friends, he feels a pang of unease when Xilin comes to visit, fearing she might leave too. He wants to ask her to stay but hesitates. Understanding his feelings, Xilin gives him a warm hug, bringing their hearts closer together.

Before leaving, Lin Hao visits Shen Di. Knowing Shen Di prefers simplicity, he crafts a sunflower out of stone as a keepsake, which Shen Di happily accepts.

Now with little to do, Halik spends his time wandering around the fortress. Aierken notices this and encourages him to join a motorcycle team, even a small one, to at least have a bike to ride. However, Halik is determined to earn some money first to buy his own motorcycle. Meanwhile, Xilin buys a small bike, and Halik teaches her how to ride. From then on, Xilin rides her motorcycle daily and even takes Shen Di to the training grounds.

Both of them gaze at the mounds of earth, filled with untold stories. Shen Di decides to use the scenery to tell these stories, ensuring every visitor leaves with cherished memories, which they can then share with others.

Lin Hao is undergoing professional training with Gu Cheng Feng's team, leading a fulfilling yet intense life. His teammates are supportive, and Gu Cheng Feng closely monitors his progress. Coaches note Lin Hao’s determination; he trains hard, eager to catch up with everyone else, believing every effort is worthwhile.

Meanwhile, Aiyaximu enjoys a game in the square but gets lost. Fortunately, she runs into Xilin and Halik. As Xilin is busy, she asks Halik to take Aiyaximu home. The little girl adores Halik and loves the dress he gave her, bringing warmth to Halik's heart. Xilin informs Halik that she will be studying at the Haining Party School for six months and will be staying there. She hopes Halik can visit her often, to which he naively agrees, promising to bring her treats every weekend. Before parting, they decide to celebrate with a hot pot meal, marking both a celebration and a farewell.

Lin Hao, eager to get on the bike, grows increasingly anxious as he hasn’t had the chance to ride yet. However, Gu Cheng Feng knows it’s not time yet and insists Lin Hao continue his rigorous practice. He aims to shift Lin Hao’s mindset, encouraging him not to be too tense. Therefore, he grants Lin Hao a two-day break to relax, and Lin Hao realizes it’s time to give himself a short vacation.
