Episode 6 recap: The Tragic Accident of Keli Mu in the Rally Race

In Episode 6, Keli Mu tragically passes away during the race, and the shocking news hits Ha Li Ke like a heavy stone, weighing down on his heart. He locks himself away in the garage, refusing to communicate with the outside world, believing that isolation might help him escape his inner pain. Meanwhile, Ha Li Ke's brothers are also forced to temporarily set aside their love for motorcycles due to family opposition, leaving Ha Li Ke feeling even more isolated in his grief.

Hao Qiang watches this unfold, feeling a mix of emotions. He begins to question whether his dream of building a motorcycle town is overly idealistic, neglecting the risks and costs involved. Lin Hao, carrying Keli Mu’s helmet, approaches the garage. He knows that words may seem inadequate, yet he strives to rekindle Ha Li Ke’s respect for life. He shares the story of his mentor, whose obsessive passion for racing was always accompanied by the specter of death. Each race was a gamble with fate, and Lin Hao became his mentor's last hope. Lin Hao understands that only if Ha Li Ke accepts this harsh reality can he truly emerge from the shadows.

Shen Di also mourns Keli Mu’s loss deeply, reflecting on her own childhood tragedies, which makes her cherish each moment even more. After discussions, the mayor and Hao Qiang decide to temporarily suspend the motorcycle project, as the harsh realities compel parents to protect their children from this seemingly glamorous yet dangerous sport. Keli Mu’s family suffers immensely; his parents harbor resentment towards Ha Li Ke’s family, who are making efforts to mend things, even if those efforts seem inadequate.

To ease the tension, Ha Li Ke’s father makes a difficult decision to offer the house intended for Ji Li Li’s wedding to Keli Mu’s wife and daughter. Although this choice is made out of compassion, it also leaves Ji Li Li feeling disappointed.

Meanwhile, after much contemplation, Lin Hao decides to quit his job and fully commit to preparing for motorcycle racing. His father strongly opposes this decision, unable to understand his son's choice and viewing it as irresponsible. During their heated argument, Lin Hao finally voices his long-suppressed desire to pursue his dreams, rejecting the idea of living a mundane, passionless life like his father. This conversation ends with Lin Hao receiving a slap, leaving their relationship at an all-time low.

That night, Lin Hao runs into Shen Di at a bar. Under the influence of alcohol, their emotions intensify, leading to an intimate encounter. However, upon waking, Shen Di remains composed, unwilling to let this relationship become a burden for either of them. Keli Mu’s wife, on the other hand, rejects Ha Li Ke’s family’s goodwill, as her pain cannot be soothed by material gestures.

Overwhelmed by guilt, Ha Li Ke finally arrives at the training ground, where he burns the motorcycle that had witnessed countless rides and dreams. It feels as if he is also incinerating his own anguish and confusion. The arrival of Xi Lin and the timely presence of Shen Di and Lin Hao add a touch of warmth to this bleak scene. Yet, Keli Mu’s departure has left an indelible scar on Ha Li Ke’s heart, a constant reminder that every ride must be measured against the cost of life itself.
