Episode 19 recap:

In Episode 19, Cao Yan Bing sternly points out that the strange phenomena appearing in the sky are closely linked to the destruction of the Bodhi tree, reminiscent of the similar occurrences that followed the destruction of the Ling Huai tree. Upon hearing this, Bei Luo Shi Men, anxious and distraught, rushes towards Mingjing Village.

When they arrive at Mingjing Village, the scene is heartbreaking: the village has been completely devastated, with villagers' bodies scattered everywhere in a tragic sight. Seeing Bei Luo Shi Men in such despair over losing his home and loved ones, Cao Yan Bing realizes that he was completely unaware of the situation.

At that moment, the sound of galloping hooves shatters the silence as Nan Yu and his group appear before them. In a fit of rage, Bei Luo Shi Men demands to know why Nan Yu has been so cruel, to which Nan Yu defends himself by claiming that the night of the Supreme Fruit's ripening is approaching. Bei Luo Shi Men angrily accuses Nan Yu of being a hypocritical villain, but Nan Yu uses Bei Luo Shi Men’s deep affection for his daughter, Shui Er, as leverage against him.

Unable to stand by any longer, Cao Yan Bing plans to convey Bai Jingxuan's message to Nan Yu, but in his anger, he decides to teach this villain a lesson first. However, just as he is about to strike, Bei Luo Shi Men inadvertently knocks him down in his rush to protect Shui Er. Seeing this, Nan Yu orders his men to place a Sealing Spirit Stone on Cao Yan Bing, aiming to make him a scapegoat for the destruction of the Bodhi tree. Though bound, Cao Yan Bing vows that the fires of hell will never extinguish and that he will await Nan Yu's retribution in another realm.

To save Shui Er, Bei Luo Shi Men is forced to plead for mercy from Nan Yu, which only fills Nan Yu with further glee as he mocks Bei Luo Shi Men's lost bravery. Subsequently, in order to discover the whereabouts of the Supreme Fruit, Nan Yu tortures Bei Luo Shi Men. It turns out that the Supreme Fruit is hidden within Bei Luo Shi Men himself—a plot meticulously orchestrated by Nan Yu.

While being escorted, Cao Yan Bing encounters a rescue attempt from frenzied villagers. They try to save him from the hands of Fubu, but Cao Yan Bing spots Bai Jingyin, who is rampantly killing innocents. He shouts, trying to awaken Bai Jingyin’s conscience, urging him to realize that he is harming innocent villagers. After a moment of confusion, Bai Jingyin attempts to help Cao Yan Bing remove the Sealing Spirit Stone but is unfortunately injured by Fubu.

Fubu summons the powerful guardian spirit, Matsushima Yoshihiro, to battle the villagers. Heartbroken, Cao Yan Bing calls out for the villagers to flee to avoid further harm. Ultimately, with the villagers' assistance, Cao Yan Bing manages to escape. He silently vows that if he ever finds himself cornered and becomes a being of slaughter, he hopes he won’t be alone.

Meanwhile, Xia Ling has successfully completed her studies in the human realm and is preparing for a new chapter in her life. However, by chance, she discovers that she has lost a significant memory. She cannot recall her car accident and subsequent hospitalization; it all feels like a dream. To recover her lost memories, Xia Ling visits the hospital for confirmation, where the doctor verifies her hospitalization records. But she refuses further examination, choosing instead to go home and search for information online. When she sees a photo of a little girl who died in the bus accident, a vague memory surfaces in her mind—an experience from Mingjing Village. This memory strengthens her resolve: no matter how difficult the future may be, she will face everything with courage.
