Meanwhile, at Nan Shan Hall, Nan Yu Fu seems to be unstoppable, tossing yellow beans that transform into soldiers. Xu Chu and Dian Wei are busy fighting off these bean soldiers, and Cao Yan Bing joins the fray, eating the soldiers like snacks until he nearly makes himself sick. He calls for a halt, wanting to understand who Nan Yu Fu really is—someone capable of such feats must be extraordinary. Nan Yu Fu sneers and throws another type of bean, summoning a new batch of soldiers.
Cao Yan Bing recognizes these soldiers as the very ones who killed his brother, Yu Jin, and realizes they should have been dead. Nan Yu Fu coldly remarks that although they are dead, their hatred remains, and the enmity between them has long been established.
On another front, Xiang Kun Lun defeats the corrupted Li Xuan Yuan and is about to deal with him directly when Xia Ling rushes in to stop him. She insists that Li Xuan Yuan is her guardian spirit and she wants to save him herself. As Xia Ling reminisces about their past, Li Xuan Yuan recalls the pain of having wrongfully killed his beloved in a past life. Touched by Xia Ling's sincerity, he finally returns to his true self and re-enters the spirit realm.
Moved by Xia Ling's determination, Xiang Kun Lun offers some encouraging words before leaving. Suddenly, Gui Fu San Tong appears, and Xia Ling is overjoyed to see him alive! He explains that he had to pretend to be dead to survive against Xiang Kun Lun's overwhelming strength. He also mentions he can heal Shui Er and Gou Er but needs to relocate, asking Zhao Xin to take them away first.
Conflicted, Xia Ling watches Cao Yan Bing and Nan Yu Fu still locked in battle. Torn between wanting to help Shui Er and worrying about Cao Yan Bing's safety, she is urged by Shui Er to go check on him.
On Cao Yan Bing's side, he manages to gain the upper hand by consuming the bean soldiers and utilizing his unique abilities. Nan Yu Fu, now smug, reveals that the beans are actually poisonous. In a desperate struggle, Cao Yan Bing uses a breath technique to narrowly defeat Nan Yu Fu, forcing him to surrender the Supreme Fruit and Ling Huai Branch. In a shocking turn of events, Nan Yu Fu eats the Ling Huai Branch and transforms into a cloud of black mist, disappearing.
Even more bizarrely, a coffin suddenly appears in the main hall, from which a figure emerges, claiming to be Nan Yu Fu's true form. He declares himself to be an immortal, viewing humans as little more than insects. After delivering a powerful blow to Cao Yan Bing, the battle becomes increasingly complex.
