Episode 25 recap: Jiang Shiyan Celebrates Tang Yang's Birthday

In Episode 25, Tang Yang has to travel for training, and while at the hotel arranged for the training, she checks in with Jiang Shiyan. Jiang shares a densely packed schedule with her over WeChat. Both of them are incredibly busy, and Jiang expresses her regret at not being able to transform into the suitcase Tang Yang is dragging around. She even finds herself envying the bed in the hotel room where Tang Yang will rest, completely abandoning her usual domineering CEO persona.

Jiang Shiyan reminds her that being outwardly assertive doesn’t mean she doesn’t love her girlfriend. Originally, Jiang planned a business trip to Beijing on Wednesday, but on Tuesday, she announces a change in plans: she is flying to the city where Tang Yang is, to celebrate her birthday in a special way.

Tang Yang is taken aback and points out that, according to the weather report, flights have already been canceled. Jiang advises her to book movie tickets, suggesting that if she can't make it, they can still watch the same movie from afar. Jiang’s assistant confirms the cancellations, so Jiang decides to drive straight to Tang Yang's city. Despite the rush, she arrives just before the movie starts.

As Tang Yang sits in her seat, worried about the weather on Jiang's side, she looks up and is overwhelmed to see Jiang Shiyan! Tang Yang is deeply touched. After the movie, she notices Jiang has fallen asleep and can't help but give him a sweet little nudge.

After the film, Jiang suggests taking a stroll in a nearby garden. Tang Yang laughs, asking how Jiang knew there was a garden around. Upon entering, the lights illuminate a beautiful scene filled with candles, flowers, and colorful balloons, clearly a romantic setup by Jiang. Tang Yang is both surprised and excited, realizing that Jiang has been quietly protecting her all along. They have been mutually devoted to each other, transitioning from pure friendship to romance, which moves Tang Yang deeply.

As night falls, Zhou Mo arrives at a cemetery, holding flowers for the only girl he ever truly loved, Xu Shanshan. Tragically, their time together was cut short, and after losing both his parents and his girlfriend, Zhou appears cold but is profoundly lonely.

After celebrating Tang Yang’s birthday, she and Jiang return to their place, expecting a romantic evening. However, when a colleague from the bank falls ill, Tang Yang has to pick up the slack and complete an extra task. Jiang patiently waits by her side until midnight, and finally, Tang Yang finishes her work. They share a passionate moment together afterward.

During her training at the bank, Tang Yang met a colleague named Xiao Qin, who, despite being only a year younger, affectionately calls her "Sister Tang" and often pays special attention to her during training, enamored by her every smile. Although Tang Yang tries to maintain a polite distance, she finds Xiao’s enthusiasm a bit overwhelming.

Meanwhile, Jiang has added some romantic touches to their home, including cute decorations and cartoon-themed chopsticks for their meals. She eagerly anticipates Tang Yang’s delight when she sees all the new additions. Knowing Tang Yang is returning from training, Jiang surprises her with a bouquet of flowers, and when they embrace, they both feel incredibly happy.
