Episode 27 recap: Cheng Hui Helps Sheng Ni Na Clear the Truth
In Episode 27, Song Jing is set to attend a celebration dinner for university professors. While still conducting research at Jiang Shi Yan's company, he shows a bit of arrogance by specifically mentioning to Jiang Shi Yan that he will be dining with Tang Yang that evening. He explains that they both took classes from the same professor in college and asks Jiang Shi Yan if he knew about it. Jiang Shi Yan stumbles over his words and quickly claims he was too busy to keep track.
Meanwhile, Tang Yang is at work in the bank when her cheerful assistant brings her a bouquet of flowers, saying someone sent them for her. Excitedly, Tang Yang assumes it's from Jiang Shi Yan and happily takes some photos of the flowers to send to him. However, when she looks at the card inside, she realizes the flowers are from someone else! In a panic, she quickly deletes the pictures, but Jiang Shi Yan has already seen them. When he asks about it, Tang Yang explains everything and offers to throw the flowers in the trash if it upsets him. Jiang Shi Yan isn't bothered; he understands Tang Yang's personality, and he knows that the dinner was Song Jing's idea.
Jiang Shi Yan then asks Tang Yang to take a picture of the flowers next to the trash can. He approaches Song Jing, pretending to be unaware, and casually mentions to Feng Wei Ran how Tang Yang left such a beautiful bouquet by the trash. Song Jing's expression turns sour at that moment.
Meanwhile, the issue of Sheng Ni Na's account being hacked is swiftly clarified by the authorities, who provide concrete evidence to the public confirming that rumors were spread maliciously. Sheng Ni Na's reputation is restored, and her popularity increases even more, leading to additional advertising endorsements. Grateful for the help she received, Sheng Ni Na asks her assistant to find out who assisted her with the technical issues.
Xiao Qin has been transferred to the branch where Tang Yang works. He has had a crush on her for a long time and has made a significant effort to get closer to her. During an evening gathering, Jiang Shi Yan drives to pick up Tang Yang. Xiao Qin deliberately tests whether Jiang Shi Yan is Tang Yang’s boyfriend. Feng Wei Ran laughs and says it’s impossible; they’re just good friends. Xiao Qin is surprised, while Cheng Hui simply shakes his head in resignation.
After Xiao Qin and the other bank colleagues leave, only Tang Yang, Jiang Shi Yan, Cheng Hui, and Feng Wei Ran remain. Tang Yang and Jiang Shi Yan deliberately speak loudly about what they will do next, asking where they should hang out, whether they should catch a movie first, and then walk away hand in hand in front of Feng Wei Ran. Feng Wei Ran watches them leave, eyes wide in surprise, while Cheng Hui shakes his head, remarking that everyone in the world knows, except for Feng Wei Ran, who is still in the dark.
Later that night, Feng Wei Ran tells Jiang Ya Nan about the “big news” she just discovered. Jiang Ya Nan is both excited and surprised and decides they should go investigate at Tang Yang’s house. The two of them analyze that the couple will likely go to Tang Yang’s place after the movie, and they leave together without hesitation.
When Tang Yang and Jiang Shi Yan are asked when they became a couple, they reminisce about their sweet past as if no one else is around, leaving Jiang Ya Nan and Feng Wei Ran unintentionally inundated with their affection. Zhou Mo works at Gan Yi Ming’s wife’s company and had previously promised to secure the loan approval from Tang Yang’s bank. He thought that by playing the family card, Tang Yang would find a way to approve it, but unfortunately, he miscalculated.
One time, Zhou Mo sees Gan Yi Ming rush into his wife’s office, reminding her that Tang Yang had not agreed to the loan approval. Gan Yi Ming then immediately shuts the door to discuss the matter with his wife. Zhou Mo, listening from the shadows, realizes that things may not go as smoothly as he had hoped.
