In Episode 25, Ge Xin Wei accidentally steps into a quicksand pit while walking ahead.Ruo Wen rushes to protect her, but both of them end up being pulled into a cave Ruo Wen injures his leg and, seeing Ge Xin Wei unconscious, becomes frantic To save her, he cuts his palm and squeezes his blood into her mouth, fearing she might die from dehydration

When Ge Xin Wei wakes up, she pushes Ruo Wen away. He then realizes her mouth is wet, revealing that she was wearing a mask. After tearing it off, he discovers she is actually Huang Bei Shuang. Grateful for Ruo Wen's help, she promises to assist him once they find the legendary scroll of the desert.

Huang Bei Shuang speculates that Rong Ruo may have also fallen into the cave. Meanwhile, Ge Xin Wei and Huo Qing Yun follow footprints into the cave and find bloodstains on the ground. Anxious for Ruo Wen's safety, Ge Xin Wei calls out his name. Ruo Wen, thinking Ge Xin Wei has reached safety in Tian Du, believes it is a temporary refuge.

Huang Bei Shuang observes Ruo Wen, praising his genuine emotions while also testing whether he can stay true to his beliefs. At the same time, Na Zhan and General Wu are in hot pursuit and arrive at San Jiang City. Na Zhan assigns General Wu to guard the exit while he personally goes into the cave to capture them.

Sha Qu receives word to reach San Jiang City before dark to meet Huo Qing Yun. With time running out, Huang Bei Shuang suggests they split up: Ruo Wen will search for an exit while she looks for the scroll. The cave's terrain is treacherous, and Ge Xin Wei narrowly avoids being crushed by a falling boulder.

Fortunately, the four of them find each other deep in the cave, where Huo Qing Yun quickly takes out medicine to treat Ruo Wen’s wound. During their exploration, Huang Bei Shuang unexpectedly discovers a table with the oasis chapter of the legendary scroll. Noticing blood-stained letters on the table, she confirms that Rong Ruo had indeed been there.

Upon hearing this news, Ruo Wen is deeply unsettled. Huang Bei Shuang reads the letter aloud, revealing the backstory of the scroll and how Na Zhan was entrusted with the key responsibility by Qi Da before his travels in the desert. However, Na Zhan conspired with a eunuch, poisoning and killing Qi Da.

Na Zhan followed the trail of blood and found Huang Bei Shuang and the others. With a cold smile, he threatened to silence them all, ensuring they would keep company with Rong Ruo's skeleton. Huo Qing Yun tried to awaken the conscience of the Yun Pei soldiers, but Na Zhan brutally killed those who hesitated and ordered the pursuit of Huo Qing Yun and the others.

At that moment, the cave shook again, providing both sides a chance to escape Na Zhan's chase, but the two couples got separated in the chaos. Huo Qing Yun and Huang Bei Shuang finally found an exit and escaped successfully, while Ge Xin Wei longed to reach the Central Plains.

Ruo Wen, however, deliberately claimed he didn't want to go. After much effort, they found the exit, only to discover it was steep and difficult to climb. Ignoring his injuries, Ruo Wen carried Ge Xin Wei on his back and climbed with all his might, almost losing his footing. In his effort to save her, Ruo Wen was injured again.

After escaping the cave, they realized they lacked the strength to cross the desert. Fortunately, they encountered the Yun Pei army, and Ruo Wen decisively dealt with them, seizing horses for their escape.

Na Zhan and his group also emerged from the cave, tracking Ruo Wen by the hoof prints. Along the way, they encountered Man Hu and the Wolf Head, whom they cruelly killed.

After experiencing these events, Ruo Wen made a promise to Ge Xin Wei and sensed the approaching pursuers. He urged Ge Xin Wei to seek help first while he stayed behind to confront them. When Na Zhan caught up with Ruo Wen and learned that his brother was dead, he became furious and sought revenge, only to be seriously injured by Na Zhan's men.

Ge Xin Wei, disregarding everything, returned to save Ruo Wen but was ordered to kneel by Na Zhan. Ruo Wen vehemently opposed this, but Ge Xin Wei knelt down to save him. In a betrayal of trust, Na Zhan shot Ruo Wen. In his final moments, Ruo Wen learned that Ge Xin Wei was carrying their child, and he peacefully died in her arms.

Devastated, Ge Xin Wei reminisced about her time with Ruo Wen, unable to accept this cruel reality. Na Zhan then captured her and hung her at the gates of Yun Pei City as punishment.
