Episode 14 recap: Quzong and His First Love, Jiamei, Reunite

In Episode 14, Zaxi has been busy with work and hasn't returned home, prompting Tudeng to personally bring him food at the hospital. Seeing his exhausted son resting against a chair, Tudeng quietly sits beside him until Zaxi wakes up. However, before they can chat, an emergency arises with patient Peng Yang in bed six. Zaxi rushes to the operating room and works through the night to ensure the surgery goes well.

Watching the emotional reactions of the patient’s parents, Zaxi feels a similar turmoil inside. Tudeng, who has been waiting outside, witnesses the entire scene and feels proud to see that his son is doing better than he expected. Meanwhile, Suolang invites the villagers to celebrate the arrival of the Gangba sheep, establishing a rule to only drink and not discuss business.

Ashley notices a woman who hasn't properly recovered after childbirth and offers to check on her, mentioning that her father is a Tibetan medicine practitioner and that she’ll send some medicine when she returns home. Everyone gathers around the fire, dancing the Zamu dance, creating a lively atmosphere. Outside, A Wang looks on and sees Suolang, aware of his difficulties in obtaining sheep. Seeing Suolang heavily intoxicated, A Wang grows concerned and approaches Ashley to ask about him, sincerely wanting to help Suolang after their previous issues.

Ashley reflects on how A Wang and Suolang used to be a great team, lamenting how things turned out. She offers to gauge Suolang's feelings for A Wang. Later, Ashley sits beside Suolang's bed, advising him to stop drinking so much, reminding him that he needs to focus on business rather than ruin his health.

After learning that A Wang is looking for him, Suolang decides to meet him. He discovers that A Wang's partnership in a building materials business failed, leading A Wang to realize his mistakes. This event helps mend the rift between them, and A Wang agrees to help Suolang find the Gangba sheep.

Meanwhile, Gesang and Nanga are giving a horse a bath, splashing water and having fun. Gesang, being a girl, gets her white shirt soaked, prompting her brother, Jiamei, to take off his jacket and drape it over her, deciding to find her a place to stay.

Zaxi remains in the lounge, unwilling to leave due to the severity of Peng Yang's condition. He feels a deep connection to his patients and is reluctant to let a life slip away. Despite his love for Tibetan opera, Zaxi doubts his ability to be a doctor. However, Yin Wei interrupts, stating that as doctors, they must give their all. He insists that wearing a white coat means they should never complain and should focus on saving lives and treating every patient with care.

That night, Suolang, thoroughly drunk, returns to the Gongbu household with A Wang’s help. Ashley learns that they bought ten sheep from Brother Zhujie and will be bringing them back the next day. The next morning, Zhujie arrives with the ten sheep, and Wangdui warns him not to get scammed. Seizing the opportunity, Suolang gathers everyone, reintroducing himself and stressing that he will buy each sheep for 2,000 yuan, as long as they weigh over fifty jin, with a limit of two hundred sheep.

Because villagers have been scammed before, they remain cautious. To alleviate their concerns, Suolang pays Zhujie the full amount on the spot, shocking Ashley. Following this impulsive decision, Ashley reminds Suolang that with only a deposit for two hundred sheep, he would need at least 300,000 yuan to buy them outright. Suolang believes he can borrow more money, prioritizing gathering all the sheep. However, when they weigh the sheep, they find that none meet the required weight.
