Episode 10 recap: Mama Lu Steps In to Teach Lu Xingyan a Lesson
In Episode 10, Shen Xingru hesitates when faced with questions, but Lu Xingyan insists on confronting the issues. After all, avoiding the truth isn't a solution when there are cameras rolling. Gathering her courage, Shen Xingru reveals the reason for their breakup: they have completely different visions for the future, like two parallel lines that can never meet. She honestly states that perhaps they never belonged in the same world, and forcing a relationship would only lead to mutual pain.
Lu Xingyan hears this like a heavy blow, feeling that it undermines their years of feelings. In anger, he takes off his microphone and storms out of the recording studio, heading straight to his room. As they reminisce about the past, they journey from celebrating their coming-of-age to gaming together in an internet cafe and enjoying drinks at a bar. Each moment is infused with the essence of youth. That night, they officially confirmed their feelings for each other, leaving a sweet mark at the hotel. Shen Xingru recalls sneaking a note filled with heartfelt messages and a hand-drawn sketch into Lu Xingyan's pocket while he slept, a memory that still makes her heart flutter. Qinqin, sitting nearby, notices the signs: Lu Xingyan has never really moved on from Shen Xingru.
In the end, Shen Xingru takes the initiative to approach Lu Xingyan. Although both are still angry, she realizes she must take this step. She candidly expresses her feelings, acknowledging that their love may not be perfect, but she hopes to stay by his side in another way. Lu Xingyan, after hearing her, reveals his own feelings, stating that he doesn’t want to become strangers with Shen Xingru.
Thus, they decide to move forward as partners with a hint of intimacy, successfully completing the recording of the show. Their interactions on camera are now natural and warm, with fleeting moments of sweetness that evoke envy.
