Episode 4 recap: Shen Xing Ruo and Lu Xing Yan Become Partners
In Episode 4, Lu Xing Yan heads to the restroom alone to calm his nerves, followed closely by Evan, who is preoccupied with the resort's financial losses. As a supervisor, Evan is acutely aware that this is the third year of their contractual agreement, and if the resort continues to lose money, they will be unable to fulfill their obligations. Meanwhile, Lu Xing Yan decides to invest six million in a variety show, a move that carries significant risk.
After exiting the restroom, Evan publicly announces that he has contacted a well-known foreign director and secured an opportunity to film in Germany. This means Shen Xing Ruo’s team could potentially go international, allowing for a wider selection of guests. To enhance the show's appeal, they decide to invite a divorced couple as guests and try to persuade their friends Chen Zhu and Xu Cheng Zhou to join. With their deep understanding of each other, they successfully convince both friends. Back at the company, Shen Xing Ruo introduces the new guest lineup to the team and proposes shifting the show's focus from solely ex-relationships to a broader exploration of romantic relationships among acquaintances, showcasing emotional growth from school to urban life. This idea receives enthusiastic support from the team, and Zhang Xu urges Shen Xing Ruo to reach out to He Si Yue quickly.
