In Episode 14, Mo Jia Lang sorts through Mo Zhen Qiang's belongings and discovers many discs, including surveillance footage from a coffee shop. He believes this could be evidence beneficial to Yu Man Yue from years ago and calls her. At that moment, Man Yue is at the mall with Yu Man Xing and Yu Xi Chen. When she receives the call, she waits at the mall for Mo Jia Lang and gets a backup of the coffee shop's surveillance video.
However, before she can review it, the USB drive accidentally ends up in Yu Man Xing's shopping bag. Later that night, after waking from a nightmare, Man Yue remembers the USB drive, gets up to look for it, and realizes it's missing—only to find out it had fallen into her sister's bag. The next morning, Yu Man Yue goes to the TV station to get the USB drive from Yu Man Xing. Once she plugs it into her tablet in the car, she finds that the surveillance video appears normal. Confused, she wonders why Mo Zhen Qiang kept a segment of footage that shows nothing unusual.
Meanwhile, a project under Yong Shi encounters trouble. Sister Xi Yuan calls Man Yue back to the company, hoping she can help Yong Shi resolve the crisis. Man Yue then takes Yong Shi to meet Zhuo Hao Tian at the Wang Zhuo Group. Initially, Zhuo Hao Tian refuses to meet, citing a meeting, but Man Yue persists and boldly leads Yong Shi into his office, where Zhuo Hao Tian ultimately allows them to stay.
Afterward, Man Yue waits for Fang Wen for a long time, from morning until evening, and finally convinces him to meet with her. Thanks to Man Yue's coordination, they successfully arrange for the autobiography writing, which Zhuo Hao Tian is pleased with. By the time Zhuo Hui Yun returns from Milan, the issue has been resolved, and Zhuo Hao Tian praises Yu Man Yue's capabilities in front of her.
In addition to writing the autobiography, Zhuo Hui Yun plans to commission a statue of Zhuo Hao Tian covered in gold leaf, which has a solid justification. Her adoptive mother makes her favorite dish but mentions Man Yue, which triggers Zhuo Hui Yun's intense displeasure.
Zhuo Shi Qi learns that Zhuo Hao Tian is also planning an autobiography and a gold-leaf statue, both overseen by Zhuo Hui Yun. It's clear that Zhuo Hui Yun aims to please Zhuo Hao Tian to secure his financial support for the Cide Association while taking advantage of the situation herself. Cheng Feng thinks Zhuo Hui Yun is foolish for choosing Guo Lin as her private investor.
Yu Xi Chen and Yu Man Xing plan to go to the UK, and they come to find Man Yue. In the elevator, they run into Cheng Feng. When Cheng Feng learns that Man Yue is going to the UK, he doesn't say anything, but his expression shows a hint of disappointment.
Yu Xi Chen and Yu Man Xing suggest that the three sisters travel together. Seeing their excitement, Man Yue agrees. They also plan to stay over tonight, which Man Yue consents to. Su Bi De encourages Cheng Feng to make a move and not wait until Man Yue goes to the UK to regret it, and Cheng Feng takes this to heart.
Man Yue recalls that she was indeed drugged, but the video showed no abnormalities. She then contacts Mo Jia Lang to directly view the discs. To her surprise, she discovers a woman in black slipping something into her cup of coffee. Since the USB drive was previously in Yu Man Xing's possession, she suspects that Yu Man Xing might have tampered with it.
Returning home, Man Yue confronts her sister Yu Man Xing. Yu Man Xing explains that she didn't want Man Yue to take the risk of seeking revenge, and after eighteen years, the woman in the surveillance footage is unrecognizable, making it nearly impossible to identify her. However, Man Yue is unwilling to let it go. Jiang Ji Jun had claimed he hadn’t drugged her, which means this scheming woman is the true culprit—someone even more terrifying than Jiang Ji Jun.
Man Yue cancels her plans to go to the UK, puts the woman's photo on the large window, and continues her investigation. She informs Zhuo Hao Tian that she is available, and he hires her as the new head of the Public Relations Department at the Wang Zhuo Group. He instructs Zhuo Hui Yun that whenever she needs to use his name or the company's name, she should first discuss it with Man Yue.
Zhuo Hui Yun agrees with a smile, but inside she is furious. Man Yue seeks help from Cai Ge and tracks down Zheng You Dong and Wang Yi Zheng, the men who had taken her, while she was unconscious, to Jiang Ji Jun's bed years ago.
