Episode 6 recap: The Fake Bag Incident Resolved
In Episode 6, after some persuasion from Dong Bo, Jiang Ji Jun begins to consider secretly starting a few transport companies to quietly benefit from Bao Li Construction. At this time, Dong Bo introduces him to the fashion world’s rising star, Zu Na, and Jiang Ji Jun is instantly captivated by her beauty.
Meanwhile, Zhuo Hui Yun faces a crisis after losing 1.4 million in gambling. To keep her family in the dark, she decides to pawn her beloved limited edition handbag by Italian designer Casoli, planning to buy it back later. The next day, she oversleeps and gets scolded by Mrs. Jiang. Zhuo Hui Yun barely manages to make excuses to get through the situation. Unexpectedly, Mrs. Jiang gifts her a necklace and insists she wear the limited edition bag to attend Casoli's fashion show. Zhuo Hui Yun is in a bind; she wants to refuse but can't resist Mrs. Jiang’s insistence.
Coincidentally, Song Tian Public Relations is in charge of the fashion show. When Yu Man Yue arrives, she discovers that her older sister, Yu Man Xing, is also carrying an identical bag. Since this bag is a limited edition, something must be off. An assistant of Casoli approaches Yu Man Yue, asking her to help find out who is carrying a fake bag.
After some investigation, Yu Man Yue discovers that Zhuo Hui Yun swapped the real bag for a fake one. To help her out, Yu Man Yue cleverly switches the real bag back with the fake one, allowing Zhuo Hui Yun to attend the event without issue.
Afterwards, Zhuo Hui Yun confesses to Yu Man Yue that she had pawned the real bag due to her gambling problem. Although Yu Man Yue is shocked, she simply advises her not to gamble again. However, the situation escalates when Zhuo Hui Yun’s father, Zhuo Hao Tian, finds out and erupts in anger, scolding her for being such a disappointment as a woman.
At the same time, Jiang Ji Jun's plans hit a snag. He intended to partner with Kuang Wen Hai's First Steel, but Kuang Wen Hai flatly rejects him. Furious, Jiang Ji Jun takes out his frustration on Kuang Yong Yuan, demanding that he convince Kuang Wen Hai to change his mind. Dong Bo suggests they can forge some professional reports to handle Bao Li Construction’s background check.
Kuang Yong Yuan is also in a tight spot; he has amassed huge debts from gambling in Macau and is being chased for money. Just when he feels hopeless, he learns that Mo Zhen Qiang's phone has been unlocked, revealing photos of Yu Man Yue and Zhu Bai Zhong. Thinking he has found leverage against them, he is caught off guard when Yu Man Yue turns the tables on him, forcing him to agree to facilitate a partnership between Bao Li Construction and First Steel.
Then, Kuang Wen Hai is taken in for questioning by the anti-corruption agency over bribery allegations related to building inspections. This was actually a trap set by Jiang Zhe Xian to protect himself; he had given Kuang Wen Hai three million to take the fall. Although Kuang Yong Yuan is dissatisfied, he feels he has no choice. As Jiang Zhe Xian prepares to leave the company for a while, he advises Jiang Ji Jun to build good relationships within the company in preparation for taking over in the future.
All of this is overheard by Zhuo Hui Yun outside, making her realize that her position within the Jiang family is precarious.
