A Journey to Love: A Captivating Debut and Enchanting Performances

The drama series "A Journey to Love" has just premiered and quickly soared to the top of the trending topics. Especially noteworthy is the opening scene set in a snowy landscape, which can be described as Liu Shi Shi's dominion rather than her comfort zone. Just like the shattered yet resolute red plum blossoms in "Scarlet Heart," the romantic snow scenes where Huo Jianhua hands over tree branches in "The Imperial Doctress," or the umbrella scene in "Love in the Wind" featuring Xin Yue.

In the visually stunning dance sequence directed by the choreographer, "Chang Yue Jin Ming," the plot unfolds as Dantai Jin returns to his homeland on a boat, casually coercing Li Su Su to accompany him. However, with the help of a traitor, Li Su Su manages to escape by chance. Originally intending to blend in with the group of dancers, she is unexpectedly called out by Dantai Jin to perform a dance. Some may say she appears thin, with a large frame depicted on screen; others may consider her appearance ordinary.

Therefore, to this day, I still haven't figured out the director's reason for giving close-ups during the dance sequence, especially the perplexing issue of her perpetually slightly open mouth. "Chang Yue Jin Ming" is a fantasy martial arts film, and despite the influence of magic, action scenes are indispensable, especially since Bai Lu plays the role of a goddess. It is impossible to omit some necessary fight scenes.

Thus, when Bai Lu struggles to perform the wire action, unable to overcome it, she can only anxiously wipe away her tears. In fact, "A Journey to Love" is not Liu Shi Shi's first time showcasing her martial arts skills. Before this, such action scenes were considered her forte. For instance, in "The Legend of the Condor Heroes," the fight scene when Mu Nianci and Yang Kang meet for the first time, the behind-the-scenes footage released by the production team was identical to the final cut. Liu Shi Shi effortlessly wields a long spear, creating beautiful choreography.

Therefore, after watching Liu Shi Shi's snow dance and her clean-cut fight scenes in "A Journey to Love," it feels somewhat uncomfortable to revisit Bai Lu's image as a stunning beauty with extraordinary allure.

Of course, Bai Lu is one of the few actresses in the film and television industry who maintains her acting skills. However, it is still hoped that Bai Lu can shed the image of an enchanting beauty and devote herself to exploring roles that truly suit her.
