Burning Years: Loyalty, Revenge, and Unfulfilled Promises
In the movie "Burning Years," the male protagonist Xu Wei Biao is known for his loyalty, otherwise he wouldn't have gathered so many brothers around him. However, the path he chose ultimately leads to a point of no return. If he could have remained hidden, there might have been a better outcome. But due to loyalty, he seeks revenge for his brother, Lei Zi.
Before seeking revenge for Lei Zi, Biao Zi makes arrangements for everyone, but for this particular character, he makes a promise that can never be fulfilled! After retiring from the martial world, Biao Zi opens a small noodle shop, and his partner in the shop is Tu Zi Ge, whom they have known since childhood. Tu Zi Ge has some intelligence issues and often confuses sugar with salt.
To help him differentiate, Biao Zi sticks the packaging of Tu Zi Ge's favorite White Rabbit candy on a bottle and tells him that it contains sugar, while the one without the packaging is salt. He also tells him that he will have to rely on himself in the future. So, this noodle shop can be considered a gift to Tu Zi Ge. Among the five brothers, Biao Zi and Lei Zi share the strongest bond.
Lei Zi has always been quiet and reserved. Biao Zi was the first to greet him, and he is willing to risk his life for Biao Zi. Therefore, after Lei Zi's death, Biao Zi even wanted to take his body away, but it was certainly impossible. It can truly be said that Biao Zi has made arrangements for everyone, but he can never fulfill his promise to this character.
This character is Huang Si. Biao Zi promised to find him a wife when Huang Si came out, but it seems that Huang Si will never be able to wait for that promise to be fulfilled!
