Controversies Erupt Among Fans of "A Journey to Love" Drama Series
As the saying goes, "controversy arises where there is a hit drama," and this holds true for "A Journey to Love." Just 24 days after its premiere, the viewership and popularity have exceeded expectations. However, a heated dispute has erupted between the fans of the male and female leads, causing a chaotic and toxic atmosphere. Some critics even label it as a product of fan culture's low quality.
Female lead fans believe that the drama does not do justice to Liu Shi Shi's efforts. They argue that the main focus is on the female lead group, with the ulterior motive of promoting the male lead, Liu Yu Ning.
On the other hand, Liu Yu Ning's fans argue that he has no right to determine the reduction of other characters' screen time, as the decision lies with the production team. Everyone has different perspectives and interpretations of the characters while watching the drama, and it is understandable that opinions may vary. It is understandable to support idols, but relying on unfounded claims seems a bit conspiratorial, doesn't it?
Ordinary viewers generally do not pay much attention to which character the production team promotes. At most, they express their opinions on the plot and appearances. They cannot fathom who holds the power between the male and female leads on the set or which character the production team favors. Some online critics may casually comment on appearances and plot, but some fans take it to the extreme, vilifying their opponents' actors as cunning, treacherous, manipulative, and malicious individuals who rise to power by stepping on others' corpses. It seems a shame that they don't focus on the actual script.
The actors themselves are adults and do not necessarily need their fans to step in if they encounter any difficulties. They have their own professional teams to handle such matters. Fans engaging in unnecessary arguments and trying to shield actors from unfavorable collaborations or on-screen partnerships may be overstepping their boundaries.
