This drama is a typical fantasy romance, bearing some resemblance to a simplified and fantasy version of "Dream of the Red Chamber." However, "Dream of the Red Chamber" possesses deeper philosophical insights and profound contemplation of life, which "The Last Immortal" lacks. As a drama intended for young audiences, the main focus of "The Last Immortal" is to present the superficial connection between the male and female protagonists from their past lives and their subsequent romance in the fantasy realm.

Being at the age of youthful romance, watching a fantasy romance drama like "The Last Immortal" is timely. Unlike "Dream of the Red Chamber," which tends to be more dramatic with frequent tearful scenes by the female lead, "The Last Immortal" takes a comedic approach with both the male and female protagonists, aiming to provide laughter and a lively performance akin to a comedic skit.

Particularly for Zhao Lu Si, fortunately, she did not grow up in Northeast China. If she had, with her level of talent, Zhao Benshan would have certainly nurtured her into a performer like Ya Dan or Liu Ying. Thus, we can say that "The Last Immortal" borrows the narrative trajectory of the male and female leads from "Dream of the Red Chamber" while adopting a comedic skit-style narrative technique.

Zhao Lu Si and Wang An Yu simply showcase a comedic skit performance within the fantasy genre. Do they have acting skills? This is an old question. When Xiao Shen Yang performed, he amused the audience with his imitation of Zhang Ziyi, one of the mentors on "Birth of an Actor" stage. Does Xiao Shen Yang have acting skills? Does he really have acting skills? It depends on personal opinions.

Therefore, regarding Zhao Lu Si's acting skills, different people may have different views. In this fantasy genre, she demonstrates a decent ability to perform in the comedic skit style, at least entertaining the audience. That, in itself, is quite challenging.
