The Hope: A Popular Drama Adapted from a Japanese Series
The television drama series "The Hope," starring Zhang Ruo Yun and Huang Yao, is currently gaining popularity. Although it is an adaptation of the Japanese drama "Dragon Zakura," the localized version seems to cater more to mainland Chinese audiences. So far, the story has not revealed what Lei Ming experienced or what happened between him and the student, but Lei Ming has mentioned to his former leader that he is owed something by Zhi Xiang, giving the impression that Lei Ming took the blame for Zhi Xiang.
However, life has not been smooth for Lei Ming since leaving Zhi Xiang. When Principal Lou introduced Lei Ming's past experiences, she mentioned many of his career endeavors, which, judging by his current financial situation, mostly ended in failure. Sang Xia is a psychology teacher who had a diverse range of responsibilities before Lei Ming formed Class 11. Besides her primary role, she took care of various miscellaneous tasks at the school.
Sang Xia truly lives up to her role as a psychology teacher, possessing excellent emotional resilience. She remains positive and optimistic every day, never complaining or showing ill intentions, although she enjoys teasing others. Her name, Sang Xia, sounds similar to "sunshine," and in the drama, she indeed shines like the sunshine in the hearts of every student and teacher in Class 11.
In the Phone City, Lei Ming deliberately tripped an elderly lady's cart but whispered to her not to be deceived. When he witnessed his classmate Yu Yang being bullied, he used his computer skills to trace the IP address of the person behind the online posts. Despite knowing that he would face consequences and retaliation, Lei Ming was determined to seek justice for Yu Yang.
Moreover, Li Ran never expected any rewards for his good deeds. Growing up in such a family environment, Cheng Yu Shan naturally adopted a defensive state when dealing with people, like wearing a "raincoat" on the outside. Hence, the "Yu Shan" in Cheng Yu Shan's name can also be seen as "Yu Shan" (raincoat).
Bian Xiaoxiao is a typical people-pleaser. She stays with her aunt and tries to please her aunt and uncle every day. At school, she seeks approval from three delinquent girls. However, Jiang Qing Lang's cheerful demeanor is not constant. At least in front of his mother, he cannot maintain his cheerfulness.
Therefore, the "Jiang" character should be added before his name "Qing Lang" to give the impression that his "cheerfulness" is in the future. Yu Yang's mother seems to be caring and attentive, but her excessive concern places immense pressure on Yu Yang, causing his character to become more "distorted."
Despite Yu Yang appearing to have a simple mind, he is actually more complex than meets the eye. He has a good understanding of interpersonal relationships but lacks the knowledge of how to integrate into social groups.
Thus, Yu Yang gives the impression of being "wise as a fool."
From the names of these seven individuals in Class 11, it is evident that the screenwriter has already established their respective character settings within the drama. Their individual stories and actions in the drama may be closely tied to these initial character setups.
