The Last Immortal: A Tale of Love, Vengeance, and Divine Punishment
Summary: "The Last Immortal" is wreaking havoc! Ainyin suffers divine punishment from Yuanqi, her soul scattered, and Hua Shu finally faces the consequences. Starring Zhao Lusi and Wang Anyu, "The Last Immortal" is a costume fantasy TV drama based on the novel of the same name by Xing Ling. It tells the story of Yuanqi, the son of a true god, and Fengyin, enduring a torturous love across three lifetimes, ultimately joining forces to save the lives of all realms. "The Last Immortal" is currently airing, and in the preview for Episode 25, Ainyin and Yuanqi are about to face their torment. Ainyin falls victim to divine punishment inflicted by Yuanqi, causing her soul to scatter. Despite his efforts, Yuanqi ultimately fails to protect Ainyin, leaving her to perish in resentment.
Here's what happened: Ainyin's life was nearing its end, and Yuanqi seeks help from the Bi Bo Sect to extend her life. However, news arrives that Daze Mountain has been destroyed. Ainyin and Yuanqi rush back to Daze Mountain, only to find it in ruins. All their fellow disciples have been killed, including the Heavenly Emperor Lan Feng, and all the blame is placed on Hong Yi. Hong Yi denies any involvement in the destruction of Daze Mountain and the murder of Heavenly Emperor Lan Feng.
Unbeknownst to Yuanqi, Hua Shu takes Ainyin to the Azure Dragon Platform to endure punishment by thunder, aiming to eliminate her. In order to silence the rumors among the Immortal Clan, Yuanqi inflicts divine punishment on Ainyin, sealing her immortal bones. However, this ill-fated strike causes Ainyin's soul to scatter. Ainyin reincarnates as the Phoenix after a thousand years of calamity, no longer the Ainyin of the mortal realm but retaining her memories. She transforms into the esteemed Phoenix, no longer the humble Water Condensing Beast. Finally, Hua Shu faces the consequences he deserves.
Hua Shu never dreamt that Ainyin was the revered Phoenix, Fengyin. She refuses to bow to the once lowly Water Condensing Beast, and Fengyin seeks justice for her past self. Consequently, she banishes Hua Shu from Hundred Birds Island, severing his ties to the Immortal Clan. It's truly satisfying.
In the end, Hua Shu succumbs to corruption, allying with the Demon Clan like his father, intending to eliminate Fengyin and take her place as the Phoenix ruling over Hundred Birds Island. Unfortunately, both Hua Shu and the Demon Lord meet their demise, defeated by the joint efforts of Yuanqi and Fengyin.
In summary, Ainyin is reduced to ashes by Yuanqi's divine punishment, leaving only the reincarnated Fengyin. Ge Jin also perishes, only to be replaced by the resurrection of Daze Mountain's comrades on the day Yuanqi awakens his true god powers. Ge Jin is long gone, leaving only a trace of his divine spirit within the true god, Yuanqi. And in the end, Hua Shu meets his deserved fate.
