The fantasy drama "The Last Immortal," starring Zhao Lu Si, delivers an exceptional performance. Particularly noteworthy is the character Ah Yin, who sacrifices half of her inner energy to rescue Feng Yin, offering her own life force in exchange for two portions of immortal essence. Ah Yin ventures into the realm of the netherworld, where she encounters the netherworld king, Ao Ge, and discovers that he is none other than Gui Jun Xiu Yan. Despite Ah Yin's innocent and adorable appearance, she proves to be remarkably intelligent.

Ao Ge, or Xiu Yan, reveals to Ah Yin their true origins. They were once divine beings born in the ancient divine realm and possessed power comparable to that of the higher gods. However, seventy thousand years ago, during the war between gods and demons, they engaged in a fierce battle against the demon god Ming Qi in an effort to protect the divine realm. Unfortunately, Ming Qi was extraordinarily powerful, surpassing even the average true god. Xiu Yan and Ao Ge stood no chance against him.

Eventually, Ao Ge expresses his willingness to relinquish the position of heavenly emperor and become the ruler of the netherworld, taking Xiu Yan's place.
