The Hope": A TV Drama Starring Zhang Ruo Yun Updates to Episode 13
Zhang Ruo Yun stars in the TV drama "The Hope," which has now reached its 13th episode. The purpose of Lei Ming's character entering Minglong High School is truly puzzling. Minglong is the result of a merger between two high schools, and when it comes to academic performance and college admission rates, the two schools are worlds apart. Mingying School has an impressive 98% admission rate to first-tier universities, while Longhai High School's rate is only 20%.
When Lei Ming first appears, he is a middle-aged man promoting an educational training institution. Logically, he should be involved in "sales" rather than teaching. However, he manages to enter Minglong High School using his senior brother Lou Jing Zhi's influence and his own qualifications as a teacher. Moreover, he keenly identifies five students and goes to great lengths to make them his students, forming Class Eleven.
The five teenagers in Class Eleven each have their unique circumstances. For example, Li Ran's father passed away early, and his mother abandoned him, leaving him to rely on his grandmother. He now resides with the Shen family, where his grandmother works as a nanny. Shen Yao, on the other hand, remains silent and unsympathetic towards him.
Cheng Yu Shan's father also passed away early, and her mother remarried. Her stepfather harbors inappropriate intentions and even installs surveillance cameras in her room, accusing her of various things. Yu Yang is introverted and suffers from psychological trauma caused by his parents, which leads to stuttering and timidity. However, he excels academically and is diligent.
Jiang Qing Lang comes from a well-off family, but his parents' relationship is strained due to disagreements about his education. He enjoys singing and dancing and shows great potential academically. Despite starting from Peach Blossom Class, he has made significant progress in Class Eleven, eventually gaining his parents' approval.
On the other hand, Bian Xiaoxiao is somewhat different. Hailing from a rural area, she dreams of becoming an internet celebrity. She has been threatened and bullied by other female classmates, but as the story unfolds, she develops an affinity for Class Eleven and gradually assimilates into the group. Lei Ming's goal is to help all the students in Class Eleven strive for admission to Qingbei University, and his ambition is undoubtedly significant. But is this his true ambition for joining Minglong? The answer is negative, especially as seen in Episode 12 when he takes his students to a job fair to help them understand the current competitive trends and determine their career paths. Although this incident leads to a fallout with Sang Xia, Lei Ming's reasoning holds some truth.
It becomes apparent that he has a deep connection with Wang Yun Yang, an education and training professional. He may even be affiliated with Wang Yun Yang, holding a stake in his organization. Lei Ming's actions aim to uplift the entire Class Eleven by utilizing Minglong Middle School as a stepping stone. Whether they can soar to new heights depends on whether Class Eleven can create miracles.
Of course, this is just the beginning, and personally, I believe Lei Ming will gradually grasp the selfless dedication to students demonstrated by his father, Lei Li Zhou. He may develop his unique teaching style, but it will be less driven by personal gain and avoid such radical methods. Instead, he will guide his students to carve out their own futures.
