The Last Immortal: Exciting New Plot Developments and Revelation of Ancient Secrets
The TV drama "The Last Immortal" has introduced a truly captivating new storyline. Gu Jin, along with the behind-the-scenes mastermind Qing Lin, is deceived and prepares to relinquish two portions of his immortal essence to protect the true form of Feng Yin from decay. In order to safeguard Gu Jin, A Yin ventures into the Netherworld and exchanges half of her inner elixir's spiritual power for Feng Yin's two portions of immortal essence. As a result, she also forms a karmic bond.
What's even more significant is the revelation of a tremendous secret that involves A Yin's future mother-in-law, the Ancient Chaos Primordial God (Yihe). It turns out that Xiu Yan and Ao Ge, both born in the ancient divine realm eleven thousand years ago, were mere children in the presence of the demonic god Ming Qi (Xuan Yi in "A Thousand Ages of Dust"). However, they held notable authority, with Xiu Yan governing life as the ruler of the Heavenly Realm and Ao Ge presiding over death as the master of the Netherworld.
These two beings, who controlled life and death, held dominion over the Heavenly Realm and the Netherworld, making their positions of power absolute. However, when the battle between gods and demons erupted, the Ancient Chaos Primordial God (Yihe) fell and the gods slumbered, sealing off the ancient realm. Consequently, only these two gods who controlled life and death could intervene. It is evident that the formidable Ming Qi is far beyond their ability to contend with, leading them to retreat step by step.
Initially, this may not seem significant. However, in the new plot, Ming Qi, who has been sealed for over seventy thousand years, makes an appearance. Astonishingly, Xiu Yan appears alongside Ming Qi. Xiu Yan is actually a physical reconstruction of Ming Qi using Xiu Yan's inner elixir. This scene inevitably brings to mind the true god Yihe, who clearly possessed the ability to do the same. Why didn't she do it?
Even if she couldn't use a single elixir to reshape her true form, she could still revive Xiu Yan. After all, Ao Ge temporarily assumed the role of a guide, and the matters of the Heavenly Realm could be handled by the Five Honored Ones even without the Heavenly Emperor. However, Yihe insisted on merging Ao Ge and Xiu Yan within a single entity, which is both intriguing and puzzling. The only answer to this situation is that Yihe wants to reclaim control over the Heavenly Realm because Ao Ge is naturally able to control the Heavenly Emperor's Seal.
It is worth noting that Xiu Yan and Ao Ge have made significant contributions to the entire Three Realms, including the divine realm. If not for their sealing of the demonic god Ming Qi, the entire divine realm would have fallen under Ming Qi's control. However, Yihe's reasoning for resurrecting Xiu Yan, claiming that it would cause chaos in the Three Realms, is somewhat far-fetched. After all, there are many ways to resolve such a situation, and moreover, Ao Ge is a supreme god who has ruled over the Netherworld and the Heavenly Realm for tens of thousands of years without issue.
But it is precisely because of this event that A Yin and Xiu Yan form a karmic bond. Later on, A Yin is betrayed and killed by Hua Shu and Gu Jin working together, but Xiu Yan lends assistance, helping her to be reincarnated for a thousand years. Through countless cycles of life and death, A Yin finally achieves a significant transformation and returns to her true self, becoming Feng Yin.
