The Last Immortal: New Twists and Betrayals Unfold in Zhao Lu Si's TV Drama
The latest plot developments in the TV drama "The Last Immortal," starring Zhao Lu Si, have taken a twisted turn. Previously, A Yin was framed for sabotaging the Guardian Spirit Arrow. However, in the new storyline, Emperor Lan Feng has proven with evidence that he knew all along that things were not as they seemed. The true culprit behind the destruction of the Guardian Spirit Arrow is not A Yin, but Hua Shu. Hua Shu used a unique treasure belonging to the Peacock Clan to disable the "surveillance." Surprisingly, Lan Feng anticipated this and yet, he proposed to marry Hua Shu, raising unexpected questions.
However, a new conspiracy targeting A Yin and Gu Jin has emerged. To plant the Seed of the Godslayer Flower in Da Ze Mountain, Mo Zun Qing Lin orchestrated a plan to lure away the three highest-ranking individuals in the mountain, including Gu Jin and his two senior brothers. Intentionally, Feng Ming used a magical artifact to destroy Feng Yin's true form, and then informed Gu Jin and the others that Feng Yin's true form was decaying and required eight parts of Feng Yin's Immortal Essence to stabilize it. However, Gu Jin only managed to find six parts.
The second and third reasons are because Gu Jin owes Lan Feng and Hua Shu a favor each. In the past, to extend A Yin's life, Gu Jin needed to gather the Divine Dew of the Jade Pool, the Kunlun Snow Lotus, and the Inner Core of a Ten-Thousand-Year Monster Beast to refine the Divine Life-Prolonging Pill for A Yin. The Divine Dew of the Jade Pool can heal any injury, and Lan Feng used it to save A Yin, which ultimately resulted in Lan Feng's own demise.
As for the Inner Core of a Ten-Thousand-Year Monster Beast, it was originally on Hua Shu's Feathered Sparrow Crown. Hua Shu once tried to exchange the crown for the Heaven-Shielding Umbrella but was rejected by Gu Jin's two senior brothers. However, Gu Jin unconditionally gave the umbrella to Hua Shu as compensation for her previous act of saving him on Wutong Island, although it was actually an impersonation by Hua Shu. When Gu Jin proposed to marry her, Hua Shu gave him the umbrella, and Gu Jin believed he owed her, so he didn't investigate her role in A Yin's death.
Only after understanding these three ridiculous reasons do we realize that Gu Jin never truly loved A Yin. Why do I say that? Firstly, if he loved A Yin, no matter what state A Yin was in, he would never punish her, even if he had to endure the pain himself. If Emperor Lan Feng could do it for Hua Shu, why couldn't Gu Jin? Moreover, not only did he fail to do so, but he also resorted to using his Divine Sword and summoned six bolts of thunder to strike A Yin, as if he wanted her to die quickly. Even if A Yin had not been punished by Hua Shu, her death would have been inevitable.
Secondly, if he truly loved A Yin, wouldn't he seek revenge for her? Hua Shu has acted despicably towards A Yin on multiple occasions. Even if he owed her a favor, there are other ways to make amends besides offering items like the Divine Dew of the Jade Pool or the Feathered Sparrow Crown. After all, these items have little to do with Hua Shu, right? Thirdly, although he claims to protect A Yin, he has never taken concrete actions. He is the true son of a god, so why can't he protect the next A Yin?
In conclusion, Gu Jin, or rather Yuan Qi, simply does not love A Yin, especially since he fails to punish Hua Shu and allows her to continue scheming and plotting against Feng Yin, even after A Yin's resurrection as Feng Yin.
