The Lonely Warrior II: Plunged into the Abyss by Provoked Emotions

In "The Lonely Warrior II: Plunged into the Abyss by Provoked Emotions," Cheng Bing, an experienced police captain, finds himself engulfed in a whirlwind of emotions. During the interrogation of a home invasion and murder suspect, his impulsive actions result in the suspect's death.

Consequently, Cheng Bing, once respected as a police captain, becomes a prisoner donning an inmate's uniform. Truth be told, Cheng Bing and "The Lonely Warrior" are both victims of injustice. As an ordinary citizen, upon discovering one of the suspects, Wang Da Yong, the crowd rises in fury, yearning for retribution, especially when it involves a passionate and righteous police officer.

Before being taken to the police station, Wang Da Yong had already faced the wrath of the people, bearing numerous injuries. Cheng Bing, along with his teammates, rescues Wang Da Yong from the frenzied mob and brings him to the interrogation room. Little did they know that another danger loomed in the shadows.

During the interrogation, Wang Da Yong cunningly deflects all the accusations onto the fugitive Wang Er Yong. His audacious "What can you do to me?" expression infuriates Cheng Bing, who manages to suppress his anger and continue the questioning. If it weren't for the unexpected turn of events, Wang Da Yong wouldn't have held out for long, and Wang Er Yong would have been apprehended swiftly.

Unfortunately, at that moment, Cheng Bing receives the news of his mentor's passing, causing him to drop his phone in shock. Wang Da Yong, who initially nonchalantly justified his petty theft, catches sight of Cheng Bing's daughter's photo on the phone. He licks his lips in greed, revealing a sinister smile.

No one can tolerate such wickedness, especially when Cheng Bing is a father! Consequently, at the most critical juncture, Cheng Bing fails to control his emotions and breaches the ethical boundary of avoiding physical coercion. He unleashes a barrage of punches and kicks upon Wang Da Yong.

Who would have anticipated that the already injured Wang Da Yong would cough up blood and meet his demise? He escapes all punishment by meeting a swift and untimely end, but he inflicts misery upon the police of "The Lonely Warrior." As Napoleon once said, "He who controls his own emotions is mightier than a general who captures a city."

Everything "The Lonely Warrior" does is in the name of justice. However, they overlook one thing: emotions fueled by evil are harder to extinguish. Police officers can wield torches against the darkness because their words and actions symbolize light and justice. Despite the heinous crimes committed by the suspects, if Cheng Bing and the members of "The Lonely Warrior" can exercise restraint over their impulsive emotions, they can avoid crossing the line of interrogation.

In life, each person, each profession, has its own ethical boundary. Adhering to these boundaries in every situation is the fundamental principle for establishing a meaningful and righteous existence. (To be continued)
