Life belongs to the country, but the heart belongs to you. I've learned a lot of firefighting knowledge and witnessed the challenges faced by firefighting families. At the end of each episode, there are small surprises that provide informative firefighting knowledge, which is really nice. The humor in the early episodes transitions into emotional moments later on. Besides urban firefighting, it also gives people an understanding of forest firefighting. The rescue scenes are portrayed very realistically, reportedly based on many real-life cases. Salute to the guardians of peace in this era!

The everyday life of firefighters was portrayed very well in the drama. However, in order to emphasize the romantic storyline of the male and female leads, there were some questionable choices that made the plot feel buggy. I still can't understand why the director had the female lead perform a long-awaited reunion scene with a dance. What was that performance about? And in the end, when the cast was filming and encountered a forest fire, how did the female lead end up escaping with only two other people?

Huang Jing Yu is so handsome! The ensemble cast was also portrayed quite well. I like Lao Yang, Lou Station, Lao Yu, Da Liu, Qi Huo, Da Gang, and the whole Fang Xiang Qian team. I also like everyone at Pingping Road Station. Our Pingping Road Station is really great! The pace at the end was a bit fast. I also want to mention that Zhang Jing Yi is very beautiful, but her lines really weren't great.

Top-notch! It deserves top-notch! But how does this so-called open-ended ending make me feel more like someone died compared to the open-ended ending of Lotus Tower? With Lotus Tower, I could at least argue that Li Xiangyi died but Li Lianhua is still alive. But with this, I can't even find an excuse for Lin Lu Xiao not dying...

The good thing about the plot is its portrayal of the interesting aspects of firefighting life and the realistic adaptation based on real events. It stays true to reality. The excess part of the plot lies in the Dream Dance Society storyline, which doesn't have any standout points. In the subsequent plot, firefighters sacrifice themselves one after another, and the overall tone of the story becomes gray. I'm not sure if it was intentionally edited and rendered that way, but watching it individually can be touching, whereas watching it continuously feels overly pessimistic. Additionally, the final forest fire scene, where the male lead has already escaped to the mountains, the editing at the end suggests that he might be gone. It feels somewhat abrupt, and while I don't understand the artistic intentions, I feel there's a slight lack of coherence in terms of logic.

Better than expected. Some characters are well-developed, and there are several emotionally impactful scenes, such as Lao Yu, Da Gang, and Lao Yang... The portrayal of human nature is quite profound and not exaggerated. Unexpectedly, the worst acting in the whole drama comes from Zhang Jing Yi; she's too wooden, too wooden... Her line delivery is lacking, with unclear pronunciation as if she has a blocked throat, and her dialogue lacks any emotional depth. It's really uncomfortable to watch her act.

The filming of 4.5 is very realistic. However, this team still doesn't know how to write emotional scenes. The female lead is decent in the first half, with reasonable changes, but the second half is indeed not that great.
Subjectively speaking, my favorite male character of the year should be Lin Lu Xiao. The good news is that we also have some well-made professional dramas, but the bad news is that they are too faithful to reality, so be prepared for some emotional impact. Is it going to be a heartbreaking ending, like a tragedy?
Compared to the novel, the adaptation has more flesh and blood. He seems like a white moonlight, or rather, a seemingly doomed white moonlight. With all the buffs stacked up, the tension in the later part is too intense.

It did end poorly, and I truly don't understand why the male and female leads went their separate ways in the end, with one going abroad and the other going to Lushan, without any contact. It felt awkward and forced, better off not being together and never seeing each other again.
The TV series had a somewhat open-ended ending, allowing the audience to choose which outcome they prefer. Personally, I believe Lin Lu Xiao sacrificed herself, without any protagonist halo or contrived happy ending.
The first ten episodes were well done, especially the fire station scenes. There were both joyous and thrilling moments, and it even provided firefighting knowledge. If the series had continued in that style, it would have been a good workplace drama. However, the romantic aspect of the story, which heavily relied on the defense examination, dragged down the overall quality of the show. I even felt that the latter ten episodes were slow, even when watching at five times the speed.
Also, when watching Zhang Jingyi dance, it always feels so awkward. Da Liu is a pretty good character in the series.

It's quite enjoyable to watch, but I don't understand the sudden decision to temporarily separate in the later stages and why, after surviving the forest fire with difficulty and finally coming out smiling, they still ended with an open-ended conclusion.
If they wanted an open-ended ending, they could have skipped the part where they kissed and just put on the fireproof hood and left it open. But it doesn't change the fact that it's a good drama. It's heartbreaking when teammates sacrifice themselves, and there are many touching moments.
The scene where Director Yang gets into trouble and everyone shouts, "Fight anytime, fight to triumph," brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you to the firefighters and thank you to the cast and crew for their portrayal.

I've read the novel a long time ago, and the script is quite different from the novel, especially in the portrayal of the character Nan Chu. Huang Jing Yu is truly handsome. This drama provides a lot of firefighting knowledge and gives a detailed and clear understanding of the daily lives of real firefighters and the scenes of disaster rescue. Fire safety is everyone's responsibility, so it's actually quite good. However, the final episode was disappointing, so I deduct one star.

The firefighting aspect is really good, and the portrayal of the firefighting team is well done. The mini-dramas within the series are also enjoyable. The romantic development between the main characters is good, but it does have its flaws. The career storyline of the female lead is relatively flat. It's unlucky that she has experienced four fires. It's hard to evaluate that, but it's just really unfortunate. The variety show, Ran Dongyang, and Xu Zhi Yi's storyline are quite cliché, and I found myself fast-forwarding or wanting to skip them. The most frustrating part is that it has an open-ended ending. I would prefer a clear ending, whether it's a happy ending or a sad one. The last ten minutes were a letdown.

While I say I want to watch stories about firefighters, I often find myself not enjoying firefighting dramas as much. Huang Jing Yu and Zhang Jing Yi have great chemistry, and it would be even better if their relationship could develop further! I know I have high expectations, but I'm not sure if it's the limitation of the firefighter theme or the director's issue. Nonetheless, I still look forward to TV dramas with firefighting themes!

Among the firefighting-themed dramas released in recent years, this is the one that feels best made. It truly focuses on firefighters, presenting an ensemble drama that showcases teamwork, sacrifice, and dedication. There are many touching moments that stand out. It's not like some other poorly written dramas that hide behind paying tribute to firefighters while delivering cliché love stories with all the characters acting as mere tools.

I'll give two stars to the professional aspects, but I don't understand what the domestic entertainment industry is doing by turning a romance drama into a male-dominated one. Huang Jing Yu's image suits this kind of role very well, but his acting skills, especially the delivery of his lines, are average. The female lead is just like an accessory, and the romantic storyline is as bland as plain boiled water. It lacks flavor and fails to engage me. The chemistry between the male and female leads can literally give me frostbite.

Although I'm a fan of the original work, the TV drama is unexpectedly good. The ensemble cast is well portrayed, paying tribute to the great firefighters. It's really emotional throughout the entire series! (I have to say, for the first time, I felt that a drama didn't need the female lead to appear, and it was the calmest moment...)

I want to praise how well-suited Huang Jing Yu is for this role. The firefighting aspects are portrayed quite seriously, and you can tell that a lot of effort was put into it. Zhang Jing Yi's lines do sound a bit off at times, and the character of the "fire baby" feels a bit exaggerated. Rather than saying I'm watching the drama for the sake of the couple, it feels more like watching a documentary about firefighting. Although the ending is said to be open-ended, it's hard not to feel that it's a bittersweet ending... But the enjoyable parts still outweigh the flaws.

I have to give it a perfect score. It's so tear-jerking. I cried so much while watching this drama. It's so realistic. You can see every major event in this series, the Chongqing forest fire, the Tianjin explosion. How many lives were sacrificed for them? Lao Yu's sacrifice was so unworthy. Every second in this world, there are so many dangers waiting for them. They are truly great. The romantic storyline is not the focus of this drama; it's just a finishing touch. The greatest significance of this TV series lies in the popularization and application of firefighting knowledge, allowing everyone to have a better understanding of firefighting and every hero who goes against the tide. I salute you. You are truly, truly great.

It's actually okay, but I find the plot quite boring. When I reached episode 21, the thought of having over ten more episodes ahead made me lose interest. I quite like both of the main actors. As for the plot, the parts set in the fire station are very engaging and exciting. The portrayal is consistent from beginning to end, with a clear beginning and end, from Director Yang's injury to Yu Qi's sacrifice, and to this ending that I didn't quite understand... Lin Lu Xiao won't be written off, right?? I can't accept that! The romantic storyline between the male and female leads wasn't as prominent as the Special Operations Station, but it was good that the focus was on the firefighting aspect. At the end of each episode, there's even some firefighting knowledge shared, which is both educational and entertaining. There was one episode where the interaction between the male and female leads was particularly sweet, the one where they went to the amusement park.

Thoughtful, but not too much. The romantic setbacks and the troublemakers in the entertainment industry don't contribute much to the plot. I have to say that the scene with the "yy" incident was a bit too exaggerated, which increased the tolerance for this drama. However, the excessive use of plot twists and unnecessary troubles created by foolish characters really affect the overall viewing experience.

What the heck was that ending? Did they die?? Can idol dramas these days still force a bittersweet ending? Plus, they survived under the fire shelter, but sacrificed themselves to save others in the end? The romantic storyline wasn't that great to watch, but there were a few touching moments in the firefighting storyline. I learned about firefighters and gained some knowledge about fire safety.

One star. Fast-forwarded and finished watching. The most interesting aspect of this drama is the attempt to blend two main forms of television drama together. The storyline of the male lead is realistic, while the storyline of the female lead is dreamlike. However, upon watching, the realistic part feels authentic but lacks impact. The pacing is chaotic in the early stages and too fast-paced in the later stages. The most touching scene is when the middle-aged instructor attempts suicide, and the transformation of the male lead from squad leader to instructor is quite interesting. The characterization of the second male lead is foolish. As for the storyline of the female lead, it only has some highlights in the beginning (although the villain is still too idiotic), but later on, it becomes completely subservient to the male lead. The insistence on using rescue missions as a narrative device for the main characters can only be said to be repetitive and redundant, but this drama takes it to the extreme. It wants everything but ends up with nothing. Additionally, I must say that the story of the older generation at the end provides a new perspective. It could have been developed as a dual narrative between the older generation and the younger generation, similar to "Love Rain." However, it's true that it's impossible to shoot a firefighting-themed drama set in the era of the older generation.

It's evident that the screenwriter is making an effort to write a good story, but unfortunately, their skills are limited. The drama tries to cover a lot of content, but the various storylines feel disconnected and fragmented. Moreover, the interactions between the male and female leads are too few, relying solely on the male lead repeatedly saving the female lead to drive the story forward. The supporting characters' roles vary in importance, and some of them feel quite unnecessary. The character development of the female lead is hollow and artificial, especially when combined with her entertainment industry subplot, which is quite unappealing. On the male lead's side, there seems to be some thoughtful design, but the overall plot structure feels similar to previous dramas of the same genre, lacking originality. On a positive note, many scenes are well-shot and have a cinematic quality. As for the ending, the hints of the male lead sacrificing himself leave me speechless. Overall, the plot is mediocre, neither good nor bad.

Quite good. As a professional idol drama, it doesn't blindly cater to popular trends. It doesn't forget its purpose and genuinely educates people about a profession that deserves to be seen and respected by everyone. This alone deserves five stars. I hope that within the entertainment industry, there will be no more professional dramas disguised as brainless romantic dramas (especially those that consume the profession's reputation instead of enhancing it, those capitalistic trash).
Huang Jing Yu's acting is impressive. Who said he only specializes in tough guy roles that don't require much acting? He handles every delicate aspect quite well.
As an idol drama, the ending was a bit "brave," but it also realistically reflects the dangers of this profession. Wishing every firefighter a safe and sound journey!

Let's not even mention the main couple, but Lin and Yang's interactions, Lou and Lin's dynamics, Xiao Jiang as General Manager Lin Qi, Dr. Liu Xia, Nan Chu and Xi Gu, and Zong the Big Fatty - all of them are so addictive. As a professional drama, it also does a good job showcasing firefighters ????????????. There are a few moments where I slightly felt disappointed. Firstly, the initial resistance from everyone towards Lou Ming Ye on Ping An Road, I absolutely love Lou Ming Ye! I can't stand how everyone treats him like that... I dropped the drama as soon as I saw Yang losing his limbs. Seriously, it's not just me, but when I watch a modern drama, I want to see something sweet. I don't understand why the screenwriter had to magnify the suffering. It's really hard to watch, and in reality, firefighters don't die or get injured in such tragic ways. So far, "Peerless Heroine" has piqued my interest.
It's not that fire incidents are not allowed to occur, but the female lead getting involved in major fires repeatedly, and each fire being of such a significant magnitude, is a bit too dramatic. It feels like the daily lives of firefighters are overshadowed by the grand sacrifices. In an attempt to highlight greatness, every character is written to be overly tragic, which can be seen as a form of exaggeration to some extent. I've heard that several likable characters die, and the ending is also... Well, around the time when the female lead gets caught in a major fire for the third or fourth time, I decided to drop the drama.

The plot is reasonable and not overly cliché, giving viewers a better understanding of the firefighters' lives. Although the romantic storyline falls short, the incorporation of the entertainment industry's hype, online violence, and influence on non-entertainment professionals like firefighters is an interesting perspective. The first half of the series is lighthearted and humorous, while the second half is tear-inducing, but it's still worth watching. The series is an effective adaptation. The plot of the fire disaster hangs in suspense. I've grown used to romantic stories masquerading as professional dramas, but I still can't accept the combination of "fantasy" and professional romance! The firefighting profession itself is very touching, but television productions often go overboard in their attempts to create emotional tension. Huang Jing Yu's acting flaw is that he's too relaxed, always being himself. Zhang Jing Yi has reached a point where I can't tell if it's bad dialogue or her voice itself that's unpleasant. Looking at the cast, I thought there were quite a few handsome guys, but after watching all 40 episodes, I found each one of them had their own unattractive characteristics when it comes to appearance and makeup.
Haha, Nan Chu, also known as Conan, wherever there's a fire, does it really have to go through fire inspection? Are the sacrifices of martyrs something to be ashamed of? Do on-duty firefighters not have medical insurance? I'm truly at a loss for words in my native language...
Originally, I would have given it one star, but with this ending, I must add an additional star!

And... he's so handsome... He acted really well... The princess volunteer part, where she looked disheveled, was actually the most beautiful styling in the whole drama (although I really dislike one aspect... the female lead, at such a young age, experiencing so many fires, it's so unrealistic).

Compared to Yang Yang's charisma, the male lead in this drama outshines. I'll give it a four-star rating as encouragement. After watching over 20 episodes, I feel that the chemistry between the male and female leads is lacking. It's too plain and lacks passion. There's no sexual tension whatsoever. The female lead's expression is like a poker face, and her dialogue delivery is subpar. Even her dancing is awkward. Their intimate scenes make me uncomfortable; it feels like both of them are forcing themselves to act. I'd rather watch the daily lives of firefighters. Three stars, and that's because I acknowledge the professionalism involved.
In the end, during the part where they rescue the wildfire, it truly moved me. It captured authenticity and a sense of compassion. If it wasn't for the female lead dragging down the drama, I would give it five stars. The other actors were spot-on. Ultimately, it's a four-star rating, and I won't change it!

Paying tribute to the firefighting heroes! This is a highly realistic TV drama with a firefighting theme. Whether it's urban firefighting or forest firefighting scenes, they are shot in a particularly grand and realistic manner, allowing us to witness the tragic scenes similar to the Tianjin explosions and Chongqing forest fire. The firefighters' heroic actions are truly magnificent and deeply moving. However, to be frank, the female lead is somewhat unnecessary. Although I quite like Zhang Jing Yi, the character Nan Chu is not likable. Every time she gets caught in a fire, it feels too coincidental, and sometimes it even feels like forced drama, which does not fit well with the main storyline of the firefighting drama, making it feel disjointed. Additionally, the close-up shots of her dance throughout the series always feature the same few simple dance moves, giving the impression of awkwardness. Without the female lead, this series might have been more perfect, realistic, and cohesive, and the ratings would have been higher. Oh, let me add one more thing, Huang Jing Yu's portrayal of Lin Lu Xiao is still remarkable. He embodies a down-to-earth and gentle tough guy image, which is pleasantly surprising.

There's a strong emphasis on firefighting education, which I really like. The romantic part probably only occupies about one-fifth of the drama, and the female lead's appearance heavily relies on makeup.
In the drama, it's quite common for actors, whether they are unknown or top stars, to perform. Huang Jing Yu really appears natural and doesn't seem artificial, but his acting skills are just average.
The chemistry between the main couple only lasted for the last five minutes, and then they killed off the male lead. It's really something.

It's not very good. When I read the novel, I was slightly moved, but the drama adaptation completely changed the tone of the story. The romantic plotline was also a mess. It's not an exaggeration to say that, apart from the names of the main characters, it has nothing to do with the original novel.
The whole drama feels awkward. The firefighting promotion, character setups, and so on are not annoying in themselves, but it's just not visually appealing. The director may have wanted to create a sense of an ensemble drama, but unfortunately, the execution falls short. There's no clear logical thread running through it, and the secondary characters are not well differentiated in their portrayal. It feels like a patchwork of individual character units.
And don't even get me started on the romantic plotline. Initially, the casting of the main leads didn't match my imagination of the characters from the book, especially the female lead, whose portrayal deviated significantly from the character in the novel. The development of their relationship was also lackluster and not very sweet. If they didn't have the ability to make significant improvements and faithfully follow the plot in the book, it might have been better than it is now. And let's not even talk about that ending. It's beyond critique.

Where there's a comparison, there's harm... I can only say that the male lead's storyline is well-executed and engaging. His profession is integrated well and is appealing, with a comedic touch. He even garnered support from firefighters across the country (an extra star for that). However, the female lead is simply a mess. Her career development is abrupt and uninteresting compared to the male lead. She's a complete tool, and you have to skip her parts to continue watching. Her acting is lacking, and I can't quite recall who she resembles, but it's a common trope. The stark contrast between the two sides is jarring. A friend's lengthy review put it well: only fans and casual viewers can endure watching this in the long term. Trying to combine idol drama and a firefighting ensemble drama is just terrible. If it weren't for the absurd and melodramatic events in the last six episodes, I might have reluctantly given it three stars. Starting from the female lead's father being a firefighter, it's as if they had to throw in nonsensical plotlines to make it a good story.

I'm tired of cursing. The drama is so terrible, and the ending is awful. I watched it from beginning to end and it made me furious. Both the villains and the impulsive young characters were so stereotypical. Why are there still people creating such plotlines in 2023? The female lead's storyline is nonexistent. She keeps jumping around without any clear purpose. The whole drama revolves around a few repetitive actions, and it's hard to see what's good about it. It's just too naive. Whatever she wants to do, she does, and in the end, she says she didn't expect such consequences. That Han Dong seems to be the center of the company, as if everyone revolves around her. The female lead is just a love interest for the male lead outside of his firefighting life. The female lead is like a little fireball, causing fires wherever she goes. They should have removed the firefighting storyline and focused on the special operations station, but then the firefighting side would have been completely neglected. Those who were meant to die died, and those who were already dead had to die again. I really want to give it a one-star rating and watch it at triple speed. Even then, it feels slow. The female lead character is inexplicable, lacking any appeal, making it hard to believe why the male lead, who is handsome and smart, would be attracted to her. Zhang Jing Yi's lines are also terrible, like reciting textbook passages, and her figure is unattractive and her appearance is not good-looking. The firefighting plot is really good, realistic, and touching. However, the romantic storyline between the male and female leads is honestly quite uninteresting. Her lines are really not up to par, and listening to her speak, I can't tell if it's her pronunciation or intonation or something else, but it feels awkward and stiff, very unnatural. I've watched several of her dramas, and she has consistently been like this without any noticeable improvement. If the romantic storyline between the male and female leads were toned down a bit and the female lead's acting skills improved, I would give it four and a half stars.
It's just a passable drama that doesn't have anything captivating enough to make me want to finish it.
I haven't watched any firefighting-themed TV shows or anything like that before, so maybe I can give those a try instead.
This drama is really friendly to my CP (couple pairing) brain, it's super addictive!
Secondly, Nan Chu using binoculars to observe the fire station, isn't that peeping?
I can't feel any romance in that... Thirdly, Nan Chu insisting on attending Old Yu's memorial service, he's just crazy, it's such a character derailment...
The ending?! Did they really die or not... Apart from the ending, I would give it five stars. Huang Jing Yu doesn't seem like he's acting! Each episode has educational content, and I've learned a lot along the way.
Every firefighter and their family deserves our respect!
And to top it off, the villains don't even have any bad outcomes. So, what's the point of me watching TV? Shouldn't I just watch documentaries instead?
TV series rating: 3 stars, with 1 star given to the firefighter soldiers. The entire drama realistically portrays the lives of firefighters.
I've also read the original work, and I must say it has no connection. It's an old-fashioned romance novel, and I don't recommend reading it alongside the drama. Additionally, the female lead's acting skills are subpar, lacking emotional depth...
I initially wanted to give it 2 stars because I felt it didn't feel like an idol drama and the workplace aspect was strange. However, the ending "be" made me willing to give it a few extra points.
And... he's so handsome... He acted really well... The princess volunteer part, where she looked disheveled, was actually the most beautiful styling in the whole drama (although I really dislike one aspect...
the female lead, at such a young age, experiencing so many fires, it's so unrealistic).
Lately, there have been too many dramas with open-ended finales, and it's really frustrating. However, it doesn't change the fact that this drama is really fantastic.
I've always enjoyed firefighting-themed dramas, and this time I watched it for my favorite actor, Jingyu. I've liked him for many years. All the actors in this drama have great acting skills, and it's intense and realistic.
It reflects various issues in society. It's a really well-made drama.
First of all, the actors were chosen exceptionally well, especially the male and female leads. Huang Jingyu truly dominates the zone! Their acting is also very natural and relaxed.
As for the princess, I'm a bit tired of the aesthetic, but the firefighting classroom setting is fantastic!
Now, let me talk about the shortcomings.
I feel like Lin Luxiao was born just to save Nan Chu. There's no need to rescue her so many times from various fire incidents... And the internal conflicts that followed made me angry.
It felt like a typical plot twist from a prime-time drama. I've reached episode 28 of this series, and I'm finding it a bit hard to continue watching.
Just when things were getting right, a major spoiler popped up. What kind of ending is that?
It's so unexpected. I've never felt so conflicted and confused about an ending before...
There's no need to compare "Fire and Light" with other dramas of the same genre. It's undoubtedly an excellent firefighting-themed drama. The portrayal of rescue scenes in this drama is beyond words. Any scene could easily be made into a movie.
The only flaw lies in the female lead's storyline, the romance between the male and female leads, the cliché damsel-in-distress plot, and the predictable ending. However, the brilliance outweighs the imperfections because the storyline focusing on the firefighters is truly outstanding.
The characterization of each supporting role is also exceptionally well done. ???
No matter how much I think about it, I can't understand why Yang Zhen Gang would choose to jump off a building, a way of dying that only adds trouble for his comrades and brothers.
The male and female leads are really good at sweet talk.
Their words make my mouth stretch to my ears, and I blush and feel embarrassed as if I have a fever.
I hate the screenwriter. Why did they have to kill off these vibrant and lovely firefighters in 40 episodes? Maybe the ending would have been better at 30 episodes.
I've seen many firefighting enthusiasts come to watch this, but it feels like there are still some bugs. For example, when Yu Fu sacrifices himself and the building collapses, only one fire truck is dispatched.
But when an electric scooter catches fire earlier, three trucks are dispatched? And as for the final ending, although firefighting is the most dangerous, it was too sudden, without any foreshadowing.
It's heartbreaking...
The firefighting parts are quite enjoyable, but the combination of this genre with the idol drama format feels a bit abrupt. Some of the romantic plotlines are truly confusing. I hope that Chinese dramas can continue to improve, with more diverse themes and smoother, more realistic storylines.
And I also hope that the firefighters can return safely every time they go on a mission.
One star in tribute, and finally, let's rescue the mountain fire.
It's just too draggy. The ensemble cast isn't well-handled, and it feels like everyone needs to have their own storyline. And why is it that a few slow-motion eye contacts between the male and female leads instantly signify a lifelong commitment?
What kind of luck allows them to encounter fires 5, 6, 7, 8 times and necessitates a hero saving the beauty trope? The forced inclusion of entertainment industry scandals and celebrity relationship crises feels out of place and really disrupts the flow of the drama.
It's truly jarring.
The character Xiaojingyu is alright to watch, but there have been too many dramas of the same type recently. Chen Weiting's drama just ended not long ago, and it had a better pace and emotional connection.
Initially, I had a good impression of the female lead, but her voice is really monotonous. Every line she delivers sounds the same. I've seen actors with poor dialogue delivery, but I've never seen it this bad.
It feels like she's not putting any effort into her lines, and her performance is very flat. She comes across as stiff, and that lack of fluidity doesn't match the image of a graceful dancer at all.
Except for the emotional scenes, there could be more liveliness in her acting.
In my opinion, the ensemble cast in the drama is more interesting to watch. Each character has their own highlights and storylines, and the large-scale rescue scenes are quite impressive. It's evident that the drama aims to promote a main theme, but as a result, the romantic scenes are not as captivating.
The crucial point is that the chemistry between the male and female leads is lacking. Even though it's an adaptation of a romance novel, overall, after watching the entire series, I feel a sense of disconnect.
5 points for Lin Lu Xiao, -5 points for Nan Chu.
She is portrayed as a dancer, but her dancing is also very unimpressive.
If this drama didn't include the female lead storyline and focused solely on the brotherhood at the Pinghe Road Special Operations Station and the daily firefighting, the viewership ratings would likely be higher!
In my opinion, this drama is either outstanding or excellent. The ending was heartbreaking and truly realistic. Good people often face unexpected twists, while the troublemakers seem to have been causing havoc for centuries.
None of the characters have a halo, which adds to the authenticity and sincerity of the story. Each character is well-developed, with their own personality, temper, and weaknesses.
The realism is also very high, making it the best firefighting drama I've ever watched. The firefighters are all handsome, paying tribute to all firefighters. They are the great heroes of peacetime!
The overall quality of the drama is decent, but for some reason, it doesn't give me the desire to keep watching. As I continue watching, it starts to feel uninteresting.
Actually, everyone's acting is pretty good, but the female lead gives me a strange feeling.
Sometimes I think she's good, and sometimes I don't.
And the dance parts are really awkward.
The firefighting plot is really good, realistic, and touching. However, the romantic storyline between the male and female leads is honestly quite uninteresting. It feels too contrived that whenever there's a female lead, there must also be a fire incident.
Also, Zhang Jing Yi's acting skills do need some improvement.
