I only watched a few episodes of the anime, but I finished the drama during the Chinese National Day holiday. Overall, it was quite good, except for the ending, which was not satisfying. I don't quite understand why losing one's memory is considered a good thing. The plot had a strong start but ended weakly. (Actually, I would rate it around four stars, but I hope there will be more dramas like this in the future, rather than letting ancient idol dramas dominate the entire market.)

It's actually quite commendable, but... I really don't like this kind of... unfinished drama... Up until now... I don't know if I can count them on both hands...
I hope it's a series that will be completed within this lifetime. If it's in the distant future... I hope this source material will still be preserved by then.

Three and a half stars. Just caught up with the second season of the anime, and the drama started airing. The casting relied entirely on Wang Ye, and Hou Ming Hao is really handsome. Some of the coolest fight scenes in the whole drama were done by him. Feng Sha Yan and the older gentlemen were decent, but I'm really disappointed with the casting of Xia He, Zhu Ge Qing, and the little junior martial brother. In the anime, I really liked Zhu Ge Qing, but their personalities and demeanor in the drama don't match at all. Their acting can't make up for the discrepancy, and the forced romantic storyline between them with the wig was really awkward. I'm quite disgusted with Peng Yu Chang's pouting acting skills, and Bao Er Jie feels a bit unnatural but admittedly difficult to portray. The driving force behind watching this was Wang Ye and the special effects. The fight choreography was also decent. It's an old-school, passionate anime, and it got me really excited. As for the plot, it runs parallel to the three seasons of the anime, and some of the changes were acceptable. However, there were too many overly dramatic monologues that were self-indulgent. Many clues were introduced early on, but there were also many plot holes left unfilled. The Jia Shen Rebellion still wasn't explained clearly, and the baby's memory loss was unresolved. The second season really needs to fill in a lot of gaps.

Almost gave up on this drama because of the numerous characters, relationships, and skills. It was all so confusing. Fortunately, I had a sudden inspiration to watch the last three episodes, and hey, it actually managed to captivate me. Baor Jie's performance was impressive. I even suspected she was a robot at one point. She's beautiful and her action scenes are fantastic! Surprisingly, I've developed a crush on Hou Ming Hao's character, Wang Ye. His carefree and lazy demeanor, coupled with his genuine abilities, really appeal to me. It's all right up my alley!
The story is quite unique, and the author's imagination is truly rich. It's definitely worth a watch!

Low-budget web drama, but don't mention it if it becomes high-budget. The plot of the TV drama version might be more compact, and I found it captivating. It also has a certain degree of faithfulness to the original anime, without excessive modifications. I have to mention it! Wang Ying Lu portrayed Ba'erjie (character's name) so well! It's my second time watching Hou Ming Hao's acting, and the first one I saw was "Cambrian Period." He doesn't have an idol-like style, and it's enjoyable to watch.

Sometimes toe-dipping, sometimes passionately exhilarating, yes, it feels like the light of chuunibyou shining into reality! I've never watched anime before, and I never had the slightest interest in it, but after finishing this drama, I'm eager to start watching. The main storyline and supporting characters are all very intriguing. If there's a second season based on this framework in a live-action adaptation, I would be immensely grateful!

The plot feels disjointed, as if they forcefully wrote an ending that couldn't live up to the grand promises made earlier. It's like drawing a big circle that doesn't connect back. They don't seem to care about whether there are any bugs or inconsistencies. The bromance between Zhu Ge Qing and Wang Ye is overflowing off the screen. When they finally arranged for all the couples to have a happy ending, they even put the two of them in the same frame, which was a subtle confirmation. Peng Yu Chang's acting skills are hard to describe. His physical gestures are okay, but his facial expressions are poorly managed. He constantly performs in an exaggerated and nonsensical manner, which is very distracting.
