Seven years ago, inside the Yanyu Tower, the entire mansion was filled with joy at the prospect of seeing Mr. Wu. After a long absence, everyone eagerly anticipated his personally painted artwork. Lin Ru Lan (played by Hu Yi Xuan) was splitting silk threads, while Meng Wan (played by Wu Qian) was engaged in needlework. As they worked, Gao Cheng Cheng, a passing embroiderer, playfully nudged Meng Wan's arm, causing her embroidery to unravel, accompanied by mocking remarks. Episode 2: Xu Niang Zi, upon entering the Duke's residence, Meng Wan begins her revenge plan.
Seven years later, Meng Wan woke up from a nightmare, only to receive the news of Big Niang Zi Man Shu's passing. Meng Wan dressed herself and went to Big Niang Zi's room to assess the situation. Lord Xu Zhiyang, the master of the Xu Mansion, sat by the bedside with tears in his eyes. Last night, only Meng Wan had visited Man Shu's room before her death, but Man Shu had only advised Meng Wan to take care of the master in the future. Seven years ago, Liu, the head of the constables, led a search of Ding Ru's room, but only took away a hairpin from the table. He then went to Wu Lian's room without revealing anything, claiming that he had divined that Ding Ru's death was not an accident but instead the result of some misfortune or injustice. Episode 4: Liu, the cripple, disguised himself to perform a play as the noble consort.
Seven years later, Liu, the head constable, completed his seven-year prison sentence. After taking a bath, he was met by the prefect and other officials outside, begging Liu Xin not to blame himself. After all, it was Liu Xin who had provoked someone he shouldn't have back then. Liu Xin, carrying the pearl hairpin that had been with him all along, wanted to leave, but was halted by the prefect. Lin Ru Lan happily waits at the door for Constable Liu, her face filled with innocence as she claims to have witnesses. She believes that with the testimonies, the yamen will accept her case. Constable Liu is genuinely reluctant and advises Lin Ru Lan to give up and go home to live a peaceful life. However, Lin Ru Lan insists on seeking justice before being able to live a good life. Episode 6: Liu San Niang seduced the wealthy Mr.Gui
At the Ningguo Mansion, Wu Lian gathered with Meng Wan and Lady Ningguo. There was an unmistakable killing intent in Meng Wan's eyes. Upon returning to Yan Yu Lou, Wu Lian took out the painting of the group photo from years ago and carefully pondered over it. A new group of aspiring embroiderers entered the Yanyu Embroidered Tower with anticipation. Wu Lian instructed Chen Mo Mo to prepare a large embroidery frame, the bigger the better, as he wanted to embroider a new painting of falling plum blossoms that would be acclaimed by the world.Returning to the Yanyu Embroidered Tower, Wu Lian gazed at the regained painting of the falling plum blossoms, and his thoughts drifted to the distant past, a time that was unforgettable for him.
