Due to the disappointment with "Iron Triangle" and "Kunlun Divine Palace," I still decided to give "South Sea" a try. At the beginning, it seemed quite promising, but as it progressed, I became more and more disappointed. The excessive use of photo manipulation is a major drawback, and the plot unfolds at a sluggish pace. It feels like the entire drama relies solely on the actors to carry it. Before you know it, an episode is over, and after six episodes, there's still no concrete storyline. Even the scenes of rescue appear rushed. I think I'll take a break for now. If it doesn't get any better later on, I won't waste my time. I hope it can reach the level of "The Lost Tomb" series again someday!

From the very first encounter with "The Lost Tomb" series to now, having read the original novel and being familiar with the stories about diving for treasures, what truly stays with me is that group of people, the Iron Triangle formed by Pan Yueming, Zhang Yuqi, and Jiang Chao. They have gradually become inseparable in the world of "The Lost Tomb," and we have become close friends in this fictional world.

With the unnecessary parts removed, each episode is less than 30 minutes long. Can't they cut down the current eight episodes to this duration? Don't blame everything on editing and cutting, because honestly, most of the content is quite boring. There's too much idle chatter and pointless conversations, and the actual scenery is scarce. The atmosphere when listening to the novel is much better than this!

The content that could have been covered in 3 episodes was stretched out to 8 episodes with the excessive use of green screens. The pacing dragged along with it. So far, halfway through the total number of episodes, all I've seen is a boat ride and a 5-minute snake scene. Missing Director Fei! Honestly, these two dramas feel really rough.

Shirley Yang is only not calm when facing the dangerous Hu Ba Yi, and I really like that about her. If she were completely indifferent and emotionless like a robot, it wouldn't be as good.

The excessive use of green screen and poorly executed cutouts seriously affects the viewing experience. The whole show relies heavily on the chubby character to carry it, and even those who can speak English are forced to speak Chinese. Each episode is only 30 minutes long, just trying to fool us. Why not make it 10 minutes per episode instead? And Tencent is really learning nothing good; they love to shower the TV series with gifts and flashy effects. Watching a drama, you're constantly bombarded with gift animations that you can't even turn off. It's nauseating, they really know how to make people sick.

What on earth were you trying to portray, Pan Yueming? You turned Hu Ba Yi into an arrogant and self-centered person, completely devoid of his intelligence. All I saw was recklessness. Your self-discipline as an actor is lacking, and you're as fat as a pig. Your lines are terrible, and your performance is absolutely nauseating.

1. It's so ugly. There are a total of sixteen episodes, and I've reached the eighth episode, but I haven't seen anything worth watching.
2. Those two debt collectors from Hong Kong are so annoying. I feel like throwing them into the sea every minute. And that chubby guy, I never felt this way before, but this time he feels sleazy, greasy, and annoying with his incessant babbling. His acting is overly obvious, with exaggerated expressions, flaring nostrils, and I don't see any utility in his character.

This season is well-shot and visually appealing. The foundation of the story is solid, and the pacing is smooth. Perhaps due to cutting out a lot of content, the pacing feels fast, with fewer unnecessary emotional scenes. It makes you want to keep watching. Updating one episode per day is a bit excessive though.
