The last time I watched a family drama like this was quite a while ago, and it was really good. It's a rare gem in recent years. The plot flows smoothly, and every character, no matter how minor, has their own logic and convictions.
The unexpected twists are still believable. After watching it, you'll find yourself contemplating how to navigate through life.

Anxin, accompanied by Xiufang, bravely stepped out of her marriage and, with the support of her dance partner and lover Lin Tianyu (played by Hou Wen Yuan), went through hardships and returned to the stage.
Ruohua, in her confrontation with Xiuli, briefly became obsessed but ultimately, the mother and daughter untied their emotional knots and faced life anew.

The original novel "If Running is My Destiny" had such a good title... I can only say that the director and screenwriter are definitely not idealists (¬_¬) Also, watching Yang Chaoyue act is so painful (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) Teacher Chen Xiaoyi must have worked hard ಥ_ಥ

Why do they always portray such tragic lives to celebrate resilience? Can't they just show a normal family drama? I originally watched it for Zhong Chu Xi and the two veteran actors, but in the second episode, there was a car accident, an amputation, and a death.
Instantly, I didn't want to watch it anymore. The title sounded good, but the storyline is just too hard to accept.

The title of the drama is quite deceptive. I thought it would be inspirational, but it turned out to be a ridiculous drama with affairs, cheating, and melodrama. The main problem is that it genuinely disgusts the audience.
It's purely a melodramatic show without any substance, solely aiming to constantly stimulate the viewers by creating conflicts.

I admire Lin Tian Yu a lot. He's like a redeeming presence for An Xin. With sensitivity, he understands the disdain from her husband, and her mother loves her too much to speak harshly.
It was only Lin Tian Yu who pointed out An Xin's mistakes to her face and scolded her awake.

Qin Feng's love for Anxin is genuine, and his lack of patience and disgust are also genuine. As a family member, enduring long-term physical and mental exhaustion is not something that everyone can tolerate. His reactions are understandable and actually quite realistic.

If someone has to die, why can't it be his mother? I know it sounds mean, but I feel like his mother would willingly sacrifice herself for her son. These two mothers are so contrasting, with one highlighting the flaws of the other.
In comparison, my own mother has been so amazing. I often project my negative emotions onto my mother due to the unhappiness in my life, and I should be less angry with her and show her kindness for the rest of her life.

In Luo Hua's eyes, her mother's opinion of her is very important. When Xiu Li followed Zhou Kai Ze and discovered that there were many girls around him, what she cared about was that she couldn't compare to those other girls in her mother's heart.
She is still the child who strives to gain her mother's approval.

Everyone is talking about Anxin's issue, but none of us have experienced what she has gone through. It's normal for her to feel anxious and restless after such an ordeal.
I empathize with her. She needs a psychological process, and her reaction is a normal response for a person with a disability. It will take some time for her to overcome it.

Qin Feng loved Anxin for her beauty, good figure, and dazzling presence. However, after Anxin's disfigurement and amputation due to a car accident, Qin Feng has actually fallen out of love with her. In the following episodes, Qin Feng portrays himself as a good husband out of a sense of responsibility, but in the long run, it will become unbearable for him.
Anxin also realizes that Qin Feng no longer loves her. Her actions are a combination of self-destruction and pushing Qin Feng to make a choice: either continue to love her as before or end the relationship.

Qin Feng indeed no longer loves Anxin. He is just fulfilling his duties as a husband, so his body is also resisting Anxin. Anxin knows this too, and she is well aware that they will eventually separate.
Even if she compromises and lowers herself, it cannot make up for her own sense of incompleteness. Divorce is just a matter of time.

Xiu Fang understands that once someone's heart dies, there's no hope left. No matter how harsh Anxin was before, Xiu Fang didn't get angry. But when Anxin said she wanted to lie in bed for the rest of her life, Xiu Fang truly became enraged.
A mother treasures her daughter the most and would never let her daughter waste away.

Well, in reality, it can be quite cruel. I feel like Song Yang is just average, but Anxin should still get a divorce sooner. I have a feeling that the one who has always treated her well is probably the new husband the screenwriter has arranged for her.
The plot seems to be heading in a predictable direction, and it's becoming a bit dull.

I really don't want to listen to a bunch of motivational jokes and still have to accompany those evasive looks with a smiling face, those sympathetic sighs of pity. Using your utmost malice to torment your loved ones, testing everyone's love for you, Qin Feng is mentally and physically exhausted.

And then, can't they just get divorced and pave the way for the male and female leads? Why arrange an affair for Qin Feng?

And having an affair with a female boss who also has a disabled family member?

I've been following this drama, and I think it's a pretty serious production! The theme is quite novel and realistic. However, as it progresses, it feels like it lacks some substance.
The storytelling becomes empty, and the character development is not fully fleshed out. Nonetheless, the acting of each individual is quite good, but the script could use some improvements.

Actually, the performances were quite good. Usually, I would give Yang Chao Yue and Zhong Chu Xi's dramas a one-star rating directly. Although the acting in this drama is still somewhat lacking, there has been noticeable improvement in comparison, and the storyline is relatively tight.
It has managed to change my subjective impression, so I would give it a passing grade.

Qin Feng has already been tormented by Anxin to the point of wanting to escape. Is their relationship going to collapse? It seems like Anxin returning home marks the end of their hardships, but in reality, facing each other day and night and being unwilling to step out of their life struggles is the beginning of a new ordeal.

It's a very delicate drama. In the process of Zhao Xiufang's weight loss, she strives to avoid eating, pushes herself to run a little longer, and aims to lose weight quickly.
Although the plot presents a cheerful style, it tugs at the heartstrings of the viewers. It's not easy to achieve such dedication.
