Cute drama exclusively for dog lovers! No cheating, third-party relationships, or evil mother-in-law plots. I watched this drama for the male lead, as I've always enjoyed his performances. Once I started watching, I couldn't stop. However, by the time I reached the 7th episode, I couldn't bear the portrayal of the female lead. It really dragged down the storyline. She's supposed to be naive and sweet, but not to this extent. Using such a character archetype for a lawyer? And she's overly self-righteous too? As a lawyer, doesn't she have any intelligence? How can she not know to preserve evidence and refrain from contacting the involved parties privately? It's not like she just graduated; she's been interning for at least a year.

Zhang Ruo Nan's acting skills are really poor. I watched "Light You Up" last year, and she barely passed the mark for a healing role. Another movie she was in was only halfway decent. I watched this drama because of the director, having seen "Wang Lichuan" and "Wang Bian." However, it's hard for me to continue following this series. First of all, the male lead shouts about gender equality, but there's only one woman in the office. All the female assistants who come are unprofessional and get fired. They are dismissed for not memorizing legal provisions, but later during the after-work gaming session, it becomes apparent that there are plenty of men who don't know the legal provisions but still work at the company for four years. Although this part is meant to highlight the male lead, it undermines the established character. If the plot can't maintain consistency with the character, it's better not to add lines that please female viewers while performing actions that are unfriendly to women. It's best not to make matters worse.
Secondly, in the trailer, we can see that the female lead caused a big mess and had a negative impact on the company. In this situation, I don't understand why the company didn't fire her (based on the male lead's previous standards). In the end, it's the male lead who takes responsibility for this matter, and the supporting actors create an atmosphere of "for the female lead... he did this and that." Ultimately, it's still the male lead who saves the day. The drama presents itself as something extraordinary and flashy, but it's just old wine in a new bottle.

Chen Xing Xu's face looks a bit aged and lacking in flesh. Don't even mention "The Untamed." In "Love and Redemption," he seemed quite tight and youthful. But in this drama, the flesh around his mouth droops, making him look like an old lady. Zhang Ruo Nan, on the other hand, is pretty much the same in every role. She played a supporting role in this drama with mediocre acting skills. The female lead's intelligence and behavior are purely based on the clichéd "doting wife" literature and lack any intellectual depth. It's boring.

Binge-watched up to episode 12 in one go. The plot between the male and female leads is still very cliché and melodramatic. You can easily predict what will happen next. On the other hand, the clients involved in the lawsuits are becoming more and more outrageous. At this point, I'm more interested in seeing them in the courtroom rather than watching their romantic storyline. The male and female leads have good looks and their acting is suitable for idol dramas. I'm definitely continuing to follow this series.

Can we please not disguise a brainless romance drama as a legal drama? Who did the legal industry offend? Which normal lawyer goes around reciting the law all the time? And why does the female lead always need the male lead to save her and keep making mistakes? Yes, interns in the legal field may not have much money, but it's not like they can't afford a hotel for a few days and end up sleeping at the law firm, right? Can't they just find a different place to stay instead of insisting on living together with the male lead? And forcing a bond between the male and female leads, where the male lead can only sleep when relying on the female lead, is just too cliché, isn't it?

I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. The male lead is handsome, and the female lead is beautiful. The male lead's physique really helps, he looks great in suits. The workplace part feels forced, and the portrayal of daily life is also quite contrived. However, the interaction between the male and female leads is quite entertaining. Zhang Ruo Nan and Tian Xi Wei's acting is totally predictable. Their expressions, gestures, and movements are all identical. Do they have some kind of formula for playing sweet characters?? Zhang Ruo Nan's delivery of lines is unclear, and Chen Xing Xu's voice is even more monotonous than Zhang Linghe's.

They're trying to forcibly elevate something, and the dialogue feels too contrived. The screenwriters and directors seem to have no understanding of the concept of "less is more." It becomes overly deliberate and a bit excessive. I hope future dramas can focus on gender equality and feminism in a more refreshing way, okay?!

As a modern romantic drama, it is an absolute masterpiece in its field. The attention to detail in terms of costumes, makeup, settings, and music is evident. The plot flows smoothly, making it a delightful watch, and there are thrilling moments in the case unraveling as well.
Apart from the main leads, all the other important characters have distinct personalities. Even in short scenes, their character traits shine brightly.
Once again, Chen Xing Xu proves his talent as a "walking paper man printer" through his acting. Entrust him with a character, and he will present you with a deluxe version. He meticulously crafts the inner logic of the character, utilizing his personal growth and life experiences to enhance his performance. He flawlessly embodies a unique CEO who is elegant, aloof, and knowledgeable. Absolutely fantastic.

This is the first light-hearted and enjoyable sweet drama I've watched this year. The ensemble cast is quite intriguing! We have the aloof and sharp-tongued big boss, the energetic and timid younger sister, the eye-catching and humorous colleague in the workplace, the attention-grabbing and flamboyant peacock, the gentle and ethereal moonlight, and the male lead's mother, who is a Mary Sue drama queen... Directed by Chen Mingzhang, huh? Chen Xing Xu has been all over the place recently. Modern dramas suit him better than period dramas, I suppose. Zhang Ruo Nan is beautiful and her crying scenes are decent, but after watching two of her dramas, I find her characters somewhat repetitive. There's a reason why Zhang Ruo Nan isn't popular. She looks average and her acting skills are nothing to praise. Chen Xing Xu's reputation can't be salvaged.

A drama with attractive but foolish characters. On one hand, they preach about female lawyers not being administrative assistants, but on the other hand, they force themselves to become personal assistants for their own interests. How can they justify kicking out a roommate in the middle of the night? In reality, which lawyer relies solely on reciting legal provisions to appear professional!

I was really looking forward to this drama before it aired. After all, the official trailers and behind-the-scenes footage gave me a strong impression of great chemistry between the male and female leads. However, the plot is too weak. This adaptation of the novel feels like something that would have been popular ten years ago. Looking at it now, not only does it feel outdated, but many things also lack logic, especially the characterization of the female lead. In the beginning, she makes consecutive mistakes in handling cases, which made me annoyed and frustrated. When she realizes she got in through the back door, she just disappears and becomes unreachable. If it weren't for the fact that the male lead had already fallen for her at this point, who could tolerate this? But I just don't like the way this Chinese drama intertwines the workplace storyline with romance. It feels like an insult to the profession and leaves those who want to watch a solid workplace drama unsatisfied. This is my first time watching a drama with the male lead, although I've been a casual fan of his looks. In this series, I feel his lines aren't very clear, and his acting is average. As for the female lead, I've seen her in movies before and thought she did well in emotional scenes, but I don't like her portrayal of the female lead in this drama. Overall, the romantic part is okay, thanks to the good looks of the two leads, but other aspects leave much to be desired...

After watching the first ten episodes, it's not bad. Among the recent romantic idol dramas, it shows some sincerity. The overall plot remains faithful to the original work, but they added some fictional elements to create more dramatic conflicts between the main characters, making it too much of a typical romance drama (although it's already a romance drama to begin with). The character of the male lead has been changed to a more orthodox and cold-hearted straight-laced guy, but personally, I found the original portrayal in the novel more interesting, realistic, and relatable.
The main leads are attractive, and there's a good chemistry between them. The costumes are well done. Chen Xing Xu's acting doesn't show significant improvement or standout moments compared to his previous works. Perhaps it's due to limitations in the character design? It follows a familiar pattern, but the performances are still decent. Ruo Nan needs to work on her acting skills. She often relies on wide-eyed or pursed-lip expressions and struggles to convey sudden surprise or happiness.
I'm not particularly interested in the secondary couple's storyline, which is a pity for Chen Xiao Yun. When experiencing a drama drought, it's watchable without requiring much brainpower.

I've caught up to episode 12, so I'll give it three stars for now. The plot is quite dumb at times, and the character development of the male and female leads often leaves me scratching my head. The first seven episodes were bearable without skipping, but there were many moments of fast-forwarding in the following five episodes.
The reason for the three stars is that I'll give one star to Zhang Ruo Nan for her cute appearance and somewhat agile acting (although her character is really buggy, with some actions being dumbfounding). I'll give one star to Chen Xing Xu for his improved appearance after losing weight and his voice that still sounds the same (although his character is equally questionable for no reason). I'll give one star to Chen Xiao Yun and the sisterly bond with the female lead (but why did she give her cheating ex-husband multiple chances when he came back? Just give him a big slap and keep him away. I really don't understand or agree with that).

How should I put it? At first, I was enjoying the drama, but as I continued watching, I realized that now TV shows openly promote helping the mistress seize inheritance rights and helping the child of the mistress claim the inheritance. That's when I felt there was no need to continue watching. It's not about moralizing, as a lawyer is just doing their job and has to be responsible for their client. But as an audience, I also have the right to choose not to watch. Even though this plotline might be from the original work, I don't like such storylines as they don't align with my moral values. The whole point of watching TV dramas is to escape some of the rules in reality, like the rule that acknowledges inheritance rights for children born out of wedlock. But in the drama, they portray it, and they even win the lawsuit, which I find extremely absurd and goes against common sense.

Ah, it's a bit of a pity. Although the male lead is handsome, the female lead is beautiful, and the director did a great job, the romantic storyline is quite engaging. However! Can't they make the character of the female lead less, well, dumb? ! It's gotten to the point where I struggle to watch this drama even as a guilty pleasure. The character of the female lead just doesn't hold up! I can understand if there are some flaws in idol dramas' character development, but in this one, I simply can't believe she's capable of being a lawyer! I don't understand how she passed the bar exam. Even for a character who undergoes growth, her early portrayal shouldn't be this foolish, right? It's infuriating... The acting is indeed not that great, and the cases are obviously meant to give the audience a sense of justice, which would have a different outcome in reality. However, some details are so realistic! They have successfully captured my attention. For example, the grandfather's preference for male descendants over female ones, where boys are considered bloodline while girls are not. Even if it means sacrificing family ties, they still prioritize having a boy. It's terrifying. I wonder what other cases will come up next. Let's wait and see.
PS: I don't understand those storylines where the protagonist falls in love with their boss. They get exploited every day, and yet they can still fall in love with their oppressor? They don't even have time for class struggle, but they indulge in a masochistic love-hate relationship.

It's mediocre, lacking breakthroughs in the plot. Perhaps the aim was to create a cute and sweet drama. The biggest problem lies with the male lead. Firstly, his acting is not good. While trying to portray the male lead as aloof, at times he comes across as blind. Secondly, the dialogue is poor (his voice is not pleasant, it's quite strange). Some of the lines are uncomfortable, didn't anyone on the production team notice? Times have changed, and the "aloof" and "unapproachable" CEO is not charming anymore. The female lead is a bit naive and sweet, but her acting is passable for an idol drama. Overall, it's just a casual watch (not to be taken seriously or requiring much thought), it suffices.

The storyline is cliché and boring. The dialogue between the main characters and the supporting characters is shallow, and their conversations sound like reciting textbook passages. There's not much emotional depth, and the lines try too hard to be funny but fall short. Additionally, the chemistry between the two couples is lacking, and all four actors have different acting styles that don't blend well. Although I initially had a good impression of the main characters and the supporting characters, the show didn't live up to my expectations after watching a few episodes. Is the plot really so cliché and childish? The male lead is portrayed as an arrogant, cold-hearted, mentally troubled CEO, which was popular 15 years ago. And the female lead is just a naive rookie in the workplace who can tame him. Come on, our generation has grown up. Even Korean dramas don't make this kind of plot anymore, but Chinese dramas are still stuck in these clichés. I gave up after watching the fourth episode.
Some of the lines are too overbearing CEO-like, and some of the plot points are too exaggerated.
It's the kind of show that makes you awkwardly laugh. I'm a loyal fan of CEO dramas, but this one doesn't quite capture my interest.
It feels like we're gathering all the Dragon Balls for a summoning!
Directed by Chen Mingzhang, huh? Chen Xing Xu has been all over the place recently. Modern dramas suit him better than period dramas, I suppose. The female lead, as expected, couldn't enter the law firm without using connections and could only become a human hypnotist.
Well, it's alright, overall I don't really love it or hate it.
Zhang Ruo Nan is beautiful and her crying scenes are decent, but after watching two of her dramas, I find her characters somewhat repetitive. The character she portrays lacks charm and her performance is average. On the other hand, Chen Xing Xu captures the essence of a meticulous and accomplished lawyer perfectly, although I'm not quite accustomed to his original voice for the lines.
There's a reason why Zhang Ruo Nan isn't popular. She looks average and her acting skills are nothing to praise. And... it's 2024, are there really still people who like male leads that, at the first encounter, casually tell the female lead to move aside as if nothing happened...
(I'll give an extra star for the male lead's acting skills though.
Now I can only hope for another drama to watch.)
It's quite average, and I'm not sure how it will progress. Hopefully, Chen Xing Xu will get a better script in the future.
Watched 7 episodes in one go. Although the story is cliché, there are some funny moments. However, could the main actors have less filter on them? They look too pale.
I'm most interested in the group of four office elites. Unfortunately, it seems like they don't have much screen time at the moment. The male lead is sharp-tongued and aloof.
The female lead is enthusiastic and warm-hearted. Currently, there hasn't been any development towards romance. Let's see how the story unfolds.
I'm also curious about where it was filmed.
I was only watching it for Chen Xing Xu, but I was so disappointed. Please, Chen Xing Xu, choose better scripts.
Some dramas may be considered cheesy, but being cheesy doesn't necessarily make them bad. However, this drama, oh my goodness, it's so cheesy that it's unbearable to watch.
The male lead actually needs to listen to the female lead singing lullabies to fall asleep. This isn't finding a girlfriend, it's finding a mother. What's up with the male lead?
He's getting older and the female lead... I have no idea what she's trying to portray...
The plot is exaggerated. Does anyone really live in a storage room at the company in real life? The male lead's insomnia can only be cured by the female lead. How outdated is this tired joke? It's surprising to still see it in current TV dramas.
The acting skills of the male and female leads are also lacking. They just stare and recite lines without much depth. I couldn't bear to continue watching after 4 episodes.
The female lead portrayed a dull and foolish character. Chen Xing Xu has the talent, so why does he inexplicably choose scripts with such painfully shallow and low-intelligence romantic plots?
The whole show reeks of the style of Taiwanese idol dramas from twenty years ago. Just because this formula worked back then doesn't mean it's still suitable now. Come on, director, let's keep up with the times.
It's a silly and sweet idol drama. The male lawyer actually dyed his hair reddish-brown. Did no one in the entire cast ever go to work? Zhang Ruo Nan acts foolishly without any acting skills.
Chen Xing Xu's pronunciation is unclear. Maybe he should practice his lines. How can someone with this level of performance even receive a graduation certificate from the Central Academy of Drama?
Just a side note, I've watched a few episodes of the drama, and overall, it feels quite faithful to the original. Things like the male and female leads sharing an apartment, the male lead playing games and reciting laws during team building activities, and the cases involving Bai Xingmeng all feel like they were adapted from the book.
The pacing of the cases is also quite fast-paced.
Qian Heng understands the art of language. It's obvious that he's just afraid that Cheng Yao would get tired carrying the bag, but when he opens his mouth, it turns into being afraid that someone would break his snacks.
A thoughtful gesture suddenly becomes awkward. It's the first time I've seen someone make it harder for themselves to chase after their wife. Hahaha.
The script is just awful. I like Chen Xing Xu, but no matter who plays the male lead, the character is beyond redemption. I don't like this kind of male protagonist. The beginning was melodramatic, but at least it was watchable.
However, after about ten episodes, even a hint of melodrama was gone, and it became incredibly boring. Boring, boring, boring. I'm dropping it.
Zhang Ruo Nan is really adorable, but I just can't stand the plot anymore. I can't bear this kind of storyline that is so forced. Just pay the boss properly for the late-night snacks you made and flush it down the drain.
It's 2024, and they still give me these inexplicable plots where someone owes a bunch of debts to others. It's just not suitable...
Finally, a drama that doesn't mess around. Finally, we're free from those unnecessary close-up shots of washing machines. The lighting and camera work are all normal, and the production team did a great job. Chen Xingxu and Zhang Ruonan also have great looks that can withstand scrutiny even in high-definition.
The romantic drama genre is lucky this time.
I can totally empathize with Qian Heng as someone who struggles with poor sleep quality. When you can't fall asleep, you try all sorts of methods to find some rest.
But when I can't sleep, I just get angry. Unlike Qian Heng, who gets up and works when he can't sleep. It's true that some people's success is not without reason.
I won't even mention the storyline of this domestic idol drama. Can we please give up on that low-quality lighting and excessive airbrushing in post-production... I remember Chen Xing Xu's previous period drama also had issues with the lighting...
It's such a shame considering his handsome face, physique, and acting skills. ???
Qianpar thought that he fell asleep because he heard Cheng Yao's cooking voice. Then, in the middle of the night, he hired a housekeeper to come home and cook. The housekeeper mistook him for a lunatic and left while cursing.
Haha, it's really hilarious. Who has such an eccentric boss at home?
A decent idol drama, but can the female lead stop using the technique of staring and pouting to portray innocence and naivety? It's really frustrating to watch. Also, why do all idol dramas have this kind of filter?
Everything looks so overly bright and blurry.
