The most disappointing drama, the higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment. There's absolutely no chemistry between the leads, just kids pretending to be adults. The acting is awkward and completely beyond your comprehension. The plot is mediocre, and the looks are far from impressive. The threshold for idol drama leads and female leads is too low. Wang Xing Yue is still decent, and Finland is indeed beautiful.

Having read the novel, I must say the drama does an excellent job of staying true to it. The male and female leads, who are both capable in various aspects, shine brightly in a circle where most adaptations destroy the original work's foundation.
As an idol drama, it's understandable that the early episodes focus on the romantic relationship between the main characters, but I hope the upcoming storyline will also ignite excitement through the billiards matches.
The visual appeal and atmosphere overshadow any shortcomings in the plot. Whether it's esports, cycling, badminton, snooker, Wu Lei seems to have mastered the art of portraying competitive sports.
The romantic aesthetics of love at first sight are beautifully portrayed. When I first saw you, the snowstorm ceased, and the warmth of fellow countrymen in a foreign land and the connection through the same profession fostered a strong fondness. It's as if Wu Lei's gaze has the power to melt even ice and snow.

The male lead is like a programmed robot with the "love the female lead" algorithm installed. In the first episode, he completed the Bluetooth pairing with the female lead, while everyone else is just supporting NPCs. I watched six episodes at double speed. As a casual fan of the main couple and someone who dreams of traveling to Northern Europe, I decided to glance at the screen at double speed during the parts where they are doing the most work... As an idol drama, it's not like there are major issues, but I'm just not the target audience for this kind of low-content, sweet and fluffy drama. As someone who is the same age as the male lead and a former international student, I feel like Wu Lei's acting has some issues (lowering his voice, slow-motion eye movements, the pretense of maturity...). The performances of all the supporting roles are more natural and believable than his, but he's not the main problem. The main issue lies in the completely undeveloped love-at-first-sight setup and the low-information dialogue design.

The script is a bit premature. Putting a story that could have been made into a drama five years later in 2024 doesn't have much excitement. It's safe to say that the hype is carried by the cast. It's nice to watch a sweet love story during the Lunar New Year, especially when it's Wu Lei's performance. I don't know if San Shi (referring to the director) wants to make dramas about every sports theme out there. One moment they're playing tennis, the next moment they're playing billiards. Zhao Jin Mai has achieved unexpected success; it's clear that she comes from a professional acting background. I simply think that the current trend of "?????" is not the same as when we were star-chasing twenty years ago. It's really difficult for people to acknowledge others' talents. Watching a drama becomes a big deal with a bunch of unnecessary fuss. Fortunately, I still have Wu Lei, who can even make a garbage can look emotional. Little brother, let's pay our taxes on time and not disappoint us.

One star for the scenery, two stars for Zhao Jin Mai. I dropped the drama after watching around twelve episodes. The reason is that it's another idol drama that revolves around the male lead while neglecting the agency of the female lead. The female lead has a strong character setup, but what does it matter? For the supporting characters, she is merely the girlfriend of an even more exceptional male lead. The supporting characters revolve around the love story of the male and female leads, and they are all one-dimensional. They only marvel at the male lead's greatness and tell the female lead how good he is and how worth it she is to be with him. The male lead has countless friends, while the female lead, just because she is the male lead's girlfriend, receives endless kindness and preferential treatment. Even when she first meets people in a foreign country, she is labeled as the "sister of a billiards champion." In the audience's perspective, 90% of her is pieced together from the male characters' point of view. The female lead has no friends, and her only best friend is someone who "sides with the male lead," assisting their love story. Everything is paved for their romantic relationship. This is a fairy tale world where one would die without being in a relationship, or rather, it's a horror story disguised in romantic clothing.

Let's start with the positives: the visuals are beautiful, and most of the actors deliver natural performances. However, the aloof male lead makes Wu Lei seem a bit stiff. Now, onto the negatives: the script is extremely poor. If you see Mo Bao Fei Bao as the screenwriter in the future, please steer clear. The male lead's overly sentimental demeanor and the all-out support from the entire foreign cast, along with large portions of dialogue directly lifted from the novel, make it feel detached from reality and excessively greasy... If it weren't for the chemistry between Wu Lei and Zhao Jin Mai's characters, I wouldn't have been able to endure more than a few episodes.

Lin Yi Yang's charm lies in his vibrant presence on the basketball court, his introspective moments of confusion during his low points, and his clumsy yet sincere attempts at love. It's a unique allure that stems from the stark contrast between these different aspects. Leizi's familiar and masculine face, along with his eyes that effortlessly switch between deep affection and coldness, make him the perfect choice for Lin Yi Yang in the Chinese entertainment industry.

I was really looking forward to the casting for this TV drama. I even went to read the novel beforehand. The original writing style was quite plain, but the characters were well-developed. I liked the plotline where everyone supports each other, as I've grown older and don't really enjoy overly dramatic or heartbreaking stories. The adaptation by Mo Bao was done really well. I think the casting, set design, and script adaptation for this drama, as well as "You," "Zhou Sheng," and "Blizzard," were all done really well. The production team put a lot of effort into it. The foreign locations captured the atmosphere of the novel, and both the male and female leads are well-matched in terms of looks and acting skills. The supporting cast members are all tall and leggy. This kind of drama is meant to have a lineup of beautiful and talented young actors and actresses.

From the first episode, I noticed that this drama keeps introducing handsome guys. The entire cast has high visual appeal, it's so pleasing to the eye. And each handsome guy serves as a support to the male and female leads. There isn't a single person trying to sabotage or cause trouble, let alone a villain. The whole journey is just relaxing and perfect for relieving stress.

It's a plain and simple sweet drama. Besides the good-looking actors and actresses, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly special about it. However, it's shot in a way that resembles a Finnish promotional music video. Overall, it's better than recent romance films, but it's essentially about the whole nation watching you two fall in love. They could have given it a different title like "The Brother Who Often Treats You to Meals." In comparison, I personally prefer watching "Nothing But Love." Although Wu Lei's acting skills are decent, he comes across as a bit stiff in this drama, while Zhao Jin Mai appears more natural. In "Nothing But Love," Wu Lei is much more natural. The atmosphere of this drama is decently created, and the background music adds to it, reminding me of "If the Weather Is Good, I'll Find You." However, the plot is a bit thin and could use a more substantial main storyline to support it. Overall, it's watchable to some extent. At least the acting is top-notch, surpassing many other popular actors and actresses... But aside from the romance, the plot lacks a bit of substance, and after watching a few episodes, I find it a bit boring.

Just finished watching "Super Starlight," and I had high expectations for this drama while it was being filmed. The production quality is really good, with filming taking place in many cities and the talented screenwriter, Mo Bao, personally directing. Wu Lei is truly the chosen one for Lin Yi Yang, and Zhao Jinmai is the perfect Yin Guo. This drama is just right for romance lovers. The atmosphere and the initial ambiguity are captivating, making people smile from ear to ear and even roll on the bed with silly laughter. It's been a long time since I've been so hooked on a sweet drama. The storyline involving the billiards is also quite influential here. Lastly, the part where the Chinese national anthem plays during the national competition gives a strong sense of national pride. Overall, from the director's filming to the screenwriter's involvement, along with the cinematography and the actors' performances and looks, everything is just right. I highly recommend everyone not to miss it!

I prefer Wu Wei's (Dong Zi Fan) looks. Let's not talk about the plot of this sweet drama. It's like the old Qiong Yao novels, but young people shouldn't be too influenced by it in real life.
They say it's a pure sweet drama, and they also say the novel is substantial, so I deliberately looked for the novel to read. It's similar to the romantic dramas of our time, except the protagonist's profession is something that didn't exist in the past. In the novel, the male lead is a rogue, not the cold and aloof type portrayed by Wu Lei in the current drama. The director and screenwriter didn't make Wu Lei's character compelling enough, and the female lead isn't as innocent as a high school student. Moreover, some of the plot points were not well connected, making the storyline disjointed. The director focused on filming those scenes for pure desire, so I gave up on the drama after reading the novel.

To be honest, there are parts that deserve a 4 out of 10 and others that only deserve a 2 out of 10. I can't see Wu Lei looking six years older than Zhao Jin Mai. Also, the plot in the original work is too simplistic. The screenwriter and director failed to establish the characters of the female lead and male lead properly, and that's a major flaw. By the way, Jiang Yang and Yin Guo have great chemistry. The director captured Jiang Yang's performance in a very natural way, while compared to that, Wu Lei's appearance and acting skills don't seem as relaxed. Jiang Yang's portrayal is superb, with perfectly timed shots. Maybe if Yin Guo were replaced by another actor of similar age and acting skills, it would work just as well.

Why give it a five-star rating?! As a current fan, I'm really blown away. The chemistry between the main couple is incredible. Wu Lei and Zhao Jinmai's acting is natural, and their relationship is both heartwarming and sweet! The entire cast is likable, and the moral values and human touch in the story are so comforting! The only downside is that if there were more episodes, Wang Xingyue and Yue could have become an even more perfect couple. Wang Xingyue is truly a "kid brother" in every sense of the word! I really love it. I'm even rewatching it for the second time.

Gu Man's story is also distorted, but the idealistic stories she portrays have dramatic conflicts, so the characters always make decisions that are difficult to make in reality. However, Mo Bao Fei Bao particularly enjoys innocent characters, and while the novel's words can slowly simmer in innocence, once it is adapted into a film or TV series, the plainness of the plot progression is infinitely magnified. It gives the impression that the overall series is complete without major issues, but lacks depth and distinctive features, making it difficult to delve into or rewatch.

I've finished watching six episodes, and it completely respects the original work. The actors, both male and female, are handsome and beautiful, with great visuals. I really love the romantic scenes between Leizi and Maimai. It's like that kind of first love, with fluttering hearts, testing each other, pulling and tugging, a delicate and sweet affection. Every time I watch it, my smile never fades. If you're looking for a passionate and intense love story, this may not have it, but it's the gradual and steady love that truly touches the heart!

The first two episodes were awkwardly filmed. But from then on, it was filled with auntie's laughter throughout. The adaptation of Er Bao's book didn't translate well to the screen; there were too many internal struggles and not enough dramatic conflicts. The casting for the male and female leads in this drama is excellent, the outdoor scenes are beautiful, and there's an idealistic theme. Looking forward to the upcoming competition and confession scenes. Overall, it's much better than "The Way Home.

As I've gotten older, watching sweet and light-hearted dramas brings me joy. The kind of pure and romantic sentiment that relies solely on feelings, without the complications of youth, seems to disappear in reality, making it all the more precious in the drama. However, the only downside is that there's less focus on the professional aspects, making it feel more like a romantic drama disguised as a snooker-themed one.

A bit addictive, but the plot has some bugs and feels a bit forced and greasy. The storyline is similar to "Dear, Love", no wonder they have the same author. No, I admit that Wu Lei's occasionally seductive gaze can be quite charming, but you can't spend 80-90% of your time alone with a girl using that kind of predatory look. Honestly, if Wu Lei wasn't so handsome, he would definitely come across as creepy and like a sexual offender.

Although it follows a familiar formula, the overall execution feels natural. Having young actors of similar age in a youth idol drama makes the audience less resistant. The use of original dialogue and the production design are also pleasing, and the actors' belief in and integration with their characters prevent too many negative reviews.
Wu Lei's performance this time is less exaggerated. Although there are some deliberate moments and scripted lines, overall, he has immersed himself in the role. There are many moments where his gaze carries a special charm, making people believe that Wu Lei is no longer a child star but a mature man.
Zhao Jin Mai is well-suited for this calm, introverted, and artistic role, and she carries that from the beginning. She gives off a particularly natural vibe. The drama as a whole doesn't have heavy makeup, and the natural filters make it feel authentic. The heavy makeup and sexy metallic style she wears at events don't suit her well; they make her look older and expose her body's flaws. To be honest, Zhao Jin Mai's appearance has some flaws, such as slightly puffy or protruding eyes, giving a fish-eye or hyperthyroidism-like impression. While she's young, she should take on more youthful roles, as transitioning in the future might be challenging. Hopefully, she won't undergo plastic surgery.
Wang Xing Yue, born in the 2000s, used to look older in period dramas, but he seems good in this drama.

When he tries to portray a cold and aloof personality, it comes off a bit stiff, giving off a feeling of Ling Buyi. Rooted in the Chinese drama market, I've never really embraced the trope of love at first sight, especially when it portrays men as devoted and serious. Such plotlines make it hard for me to believe in the characters' credibility.

What a delightful sweet drama! My lips couldn't stop smiling all night. Wu Lei's portrayal of Lin Yi Yang is both charming and handsome. The ambiguous stage of the young couple, with all the pulling and teasing, is so adorable and heartwarming.
The attention to detail is heartwrenching. Please release more episodes quickly! It's unbearable to have five episodes on the first day and only one episode the next day.
A bit addictive, but the plot has some bugs and feels a bit forced and greasy. The storyline is similar to "Dear, Love", no wonder they have the same author. It feels like all the supporting roles in the drama exist solely to assist the main characters...
The plot focuses too much on highlighting the age difference, but the two leads don't actually have much of an age gap, which feels a bit strange.
Compared to several other sweet dramas I've watched, this one focuses more on creating a sense of atmosphere. However, it's filled with intense and lingering gazes throughout, which can feel a bit awkward after seeing it so many times.
After all, I've watched countless dramas. The pacing of the storyline is also a bit slow, just barely managing to keep my interest.
It's quite enjoyable. I really like this kind of drama where the plot unfolds slowly and steadily. It's relaxing and not too exhausting. The chemistry between the male and female leads is strong, and Mai Mai's acting is really good.
Leizi's expressive eyes are fantastic, and the supporting cast members are also doing a great job. They are all quite interesting.
Finally, I get to see what a normal relationship looks like in an idol drama. Starting from ambiguity, gradually realizing their feelings, and finally coming together, this process feels genuine and relatable to real life.
The emotions between the male and female leads transitioned naturally from simmering beneath the surface to a passionate and open expression.
I feel that the career storyline will be very exciting. Jiang Yang, Meng Xiaodong, and Lin Yi Yang seem to be kings in their respective fields, but privately they have an unspoken understanding and their relationship is quite subtle.
They all exude a charismatic leader aura, which is so handsome. I'm looking forward to seeing their clashes on screen.
The male lead has a bit of a bad boy vibe, but he only displays it towards people other than Yin Guo, especially when he beats up his love rival on the court. Every sentence he utters is concise and impactful, and his eyes reveal a relaxed sense of dominance.
He's really good at attacking!
I believe that in the near future, Wu Lei will be able to single-handedly portray all the athletic events. But why is there no chemistry between the two leads? I don't have any issues with the main actors, but as a die-hard fan of Huo Laoshi, I just can't bear to see him playing snooker and being in a romantic relationship...
This is how love at first sight should be. It starts with cautiously getting closer, accidental eye contact, and quick evasion. Only after both parties have confirmed their feelings will there be bold gazes.
This process feels so genuine.
The Unexpected Encounter of Falling in Love with the Sister from the Opposite House" The more others remind me that Lin Yi is Meng Xiao Dong's sister, the more excited I get. Meng Xiao Dong acts like his own precious cabbage has been stolen.
The tension is already building up even before they meet. So thrilling!
What on earth did they film? It's so greasy. Lei Zi's entire performance feels like a perverted harassment of Mai Mai. Mai Mai looks terrified in many scenes. It's awkward and cringeworthy. Next time, they shouldn't cast our beloved child star as the lead.
It's a total disaster! Lei Zi has become so oily and unappealing.
I just want to watch idol dramas with young and talented actors who are around the same age. I enjoy watching them fall in love on screen. I can't stand it when some people dominate the screen time.
Of course, since they are so skilled in their profession, let them focus more on their acting.
TV drama review:
No, I admit that Wu Lei's occasionally seductive gaze can be quite charming, but you can't spend 80-90% of your time alone with a girl using that kind of predatory look. Honestly, if Wu Lei wasn't so handsome, he would definitely come across as creepy and like a sexual offender.
The male lead is so annoying, oh my goodness! Without Wu Lei's face, I can't stand watching it for even a second. It's a mindless romantic drama that can be watched solely based on appearances.
But please, everyone, don't approach relationships like that, haha! It's hilarious to the point of laughter.
A spontaneous trip, venturing through the four seasons in just one day. It's not just about the romance, but also the attitude of embracing such a whimsical adventure that I can only dream of. It feels like rediscovering the initial joy of watching idol dramas, where happiness is so beautiful that it feels like a dream.
I watched it for the good looks of the male and female leads, but I felt uncomfortable watching it for one or two episodes. The younger brother inexplicably assists the male and female leads, and it left me puzzled.
After the male and female leads get together, they are constantly meeting and on their way to meet each other. Weren't they supposed to focus on studying and training?
Wu Lei is not suitable for the cold and aloof role; he comes across as pretentious.
Moreover, the character setup is also quite exaggerated, and it feels awkward to watch when the storyline is not engaging.
Zhao Jin Mai caught my attention from the beginning with her appearance, and she remains beautiful and adorable in this drama.
The drama basically 100% faithfully adapted the novel. The pace and dialogue are almost identical. However, for a TV series, it's not quite suitable. The cinematography and pacing are a bit too slow.
Also, Leizi looks too righteous and doesn't quite embody the mischievous vibe of Xiaoyang. When he tries to portray a cold and aloof personality, it comes off a bit stiff, giving off a feeling of Ling Buyi.
But the chemistry between the main characters is good, and they can carry the romantic scenes well. Maimai, on the other hand, exudes a strong teenage girl vibe and appears relatively natural, although there's still a hint of performance in her acting.
Rooted in the Chinese drama market, I've never really embraced the trope of love at first sight, especially when it portrays men as devoted and serious. Such plotlines make it hard for me to believe in the characters' credibility.
The world champion with a clumsy tongue, the pure and devoted Chinese man, who becomes a loyal partner to the love-at-first-sight object after just half a month of knowing each other.
Has this kind of floating romance, unique to Chinese dramas, become outdated?
The music is quite catchy, but Leilei's acting feels a bit stiff. I'll give the story another chance and update on 2024.2.13. I watched episodes 1-4 and then dropped it. I didn't like it. As I've gotten older, I can't get into this kind of youth idol drama anymore.
The pacing is too slow. Why not invest in more short series like those on Netflix? Wu Lei looks a lot like my younger brother. I hope he develops a similar appearance in the future.
I admire the seriousness and persistence in Lin Yi Yang. When he sets his mind on someone, he boldly pursues them, and when he sets his mind on something, he goes for it without hesitation.
He has his own opinions but also listens to others' advice. Aside from occasionally creating awkward moments in conversations, he excels in various aspects. The key is that he scores full marks in thoughtfulness.
Whether as a friend or a boyfriend, he is a great choice.
It's really satisfying to see everyone working together. Mo Bao personally writing the script, there's no need to worry about heart-wrenching twists or melodramatic tropes. From beginning to end, it's filled with sweetness, which can be considered her signature style.
I love watching these sweet moments. Two people in love supporting each other as they pursue their dreams is the best, both in terms of love and passion.
I watched one episode, but the plot was too peaceful, so I didn't finish it. It's actually a high-quality modern drama, but as I've gotten older, I can't get into this kind of story anymore. The fashion styling is quite ordinary, making the two actors look like regular people.
It feels like social opinions have restricted present-day actors, and the TV shows they act in are even more boring than their own lives.
Yin Guo's emotional progress is driving me crazy. From the initial chance encounter and friendly farewell to now getting off the car before parting ways, Yin Guo's hand quickly grabbed Lin Yi Yang, saying "Tell me when you arrive," but the expression in his eyes clearly showed that he didn't want to separate from the person he likes.
This affection has long been fermenting and cannot be concealed.
Lin Yi Yang gives me the feeling that he has a mouth, but he covers half of it. When he voluntarily shares his childhood experiences, it's actually to create intimacy and also to encourage Yin Guo to share about himself, deepening their understanding of each other.
But he just doesn't say it directly. At that moment, I really wanted to dive in and become his mouthpiece.
The cinematography is on par with movies, and the soundtrack is also delightful. It matches the romantic atmosphere of the main characters perfectly. Each episode has sweet moments like eating candy, but it doesn't become overwhelming.
Coupled with the exciting billiards competition, it feels like this is what a youth romance drama should be like.
When I first heard "Queen," my initial reaction was to laugh, but then I realized that I actually empathized with the ups and downs. In countless days and nights struggling in a foreign land, perhaps no one knows better than him how much he longs to relive the glory of the basketball court.
Today, he finally obtained TT in a different way.
For Lin Yi Yang, being able to have three meals on time is something quite rare and not easy. Always taking Yin Guo out for meals is his unique way of romance, and all the little details in life are a manifestation of Lin Yi Yang's meticulous care.
His love is silent yet profound.
Lin Yi Yang's character setting can be considered the pinnacle of all the dramas I've watched. He has upright values, is competent in both work and studies, and puts effort into pursuing the girl he likes.
He understands boundaries, respects others, and feels like he was tailor-made for me.
Yin Guo's character design is truly captivating. She has a sweet and youthful appearance, with big, bright eyes that are very appealing. Her personality is pure and kind, but during competitions, she shows a sharpness and decisiveness that is not seen in her usual self.
Even as a girl, I have fallen in love with her.
Some people don't even know if they're into mystery or martial arts dramas, but they end up watching sweet romantic dramas. And then they just casually say, "It's all about love and romance, my brain is filled with it." Dude, it's a love story, can't you read the genre?
The two of them act like they're in a horror movie. Wu Lei's expressions are like hentai, and Zhao Jin Mai is also not that impressive. It's strange to see them promoting the drama on "Hello Saturday." It feels forced and artificial, like newly-made oil.
Perhaps only Wang Xing Yue brings a natural breeze to the show.
