Plot Synopsis

The story revolves around two generations of financeprofessionals facing financial storms and constantly making choices betweenprofessional boundaries and monetary interests. The main focus is on depicting apanoramic view of the financial industry, from topexecutives to ordinary employees, andpresenting a broad representation of the reality.

Tao Wu Ji, a young man from a small town, is recruited by the Binhai Branch of Shenmao Bank. Starting from the lowestposition as a teller, his girlfriend Tian Xiao Hui, a girl from Shanghai, enters a trust company through her cousin's introduction. The two of them agree topursue their ambitions in the financial industry and strive to establish a family in Shanghai as soon aspossible. Tao Wu Ji stands out through diligence and hard work, catching the attention of the branch manager Zhao Hui and the audit director Miao Che, who carefully nurture him. Gradually, he finds his own meaning and direction in working at the bank. On the other hand, Xiao Hui faces harsh survival challenges after entering the world of trust capital. As she climbs upthe ladder, she realizes that in this money-driven world, both of them face various challenges and tests.

Throughout their journey in the city, Tao Wu Ji, Xiao Hui, Zhao Hui, and Miao Che, representing two generations of financeprofessionals, experience career choices and ups and downs of fate. Confronted with temptations and difficulties, they need to make choices time and time again. Will they go with the flow or remain true to their original aspirations and achieve a meaningful ending?
