Plot Synopsis

After ten years of imprisonment, Cheng Bing regains his freedom, having lost everything, while the criminal suspect, Wang Da Yong, remains at large.

In my opinion, the storyline of Miaomiao is handled very well. Given the existing social norms, Wang Da Yong and Wang Er Yong sacrificing themselves for her is the best they can do. What else can you expect? Miaomiao is also an innocent person.
In fact, she is very pitiable. She hasn't done anything wrong. The mistake lies in being born into such a family, and it's not her choice to be born into any particular family. Parents don't consult with their children on such matters.
Of course, you can argue that the biggest responsibility lies with her parents, but her father is already deceased and her mother is missing. It wouldn't make any sense to go after them and hold them accountable. If we don't care for her, it's very likely that she will end up on the path of crime, and that would lead to more innocent people getting hurt.
Don't blame Pan, he has never been at fault. He is an academic type, and it's mentioned in the drama about his "party school training" and such. He is meticulous and disciplined in his work, embodying the role of a protector of the law.
In the Wang Da Yong case, he relentlessly pursued the investigation without pause, and the honors given to him by the bureau are proof of his dedication.
With just one statement, "Wang Dahai is still out there wandering, I can't accept this award," he reveals that Wang Da Yong is also his target.
The entire room is filled with clues related to Wang Dahai. His thinking and methods are in line with the "public security system" and keep up with the times, issuing arrest warrants, requests for assistance, fingerprint matching, DNA testing—these are Pan Dahai's main themes.
What could be more heart-wrenching than a tragedy unfolding right before your own eyes? From the moment Cheng Bing learns about the incident in Ping An Community, he plants an unwavering determination to catch the Wang brothers. Moreover, it is the fact that he had encountered the victim the previous night and then witnessed a life slipping away at the crime scene the next day that intensifies the agony.
Lin Ying's performance is commendable. From the fact that she is the only one in the team who uses a cellphone, it's evident that she comes from a well-off background.
However, despite her privileged upbringing, she doesn't exhibit any signs of arrogance. As Cheng Bing's apprentice, she follows him wherever he goes, enduring long stakeouts without complaining and fearlessly pursuing suspects.
When working together with Cheng Bing to apprehend criminals, their cooperation is seamless. When they reach the "count to three" moment, she swiftly takes her position and decisively captures them.
She truly embodies both intelligence and courage.
Shi Tou still has the fiery enthusiasm of a young person. His actions showed me his daring and bold side. Whether it was a spur-of-the-moment decision or not, I admire him in this moment, especially when he said, "Our Third Brigade is truly gone from today onwards." I believe this statement carries a greater impact and can resonate with others.
I look forward to seeing his future performance and also anticipate the changes in others.
Ironically, in the end, Er Yong did die at the hands of the police... It's interesting how I feel that experienced police officers like Cheng Da possess great skills and abundant experience, but it's always the ones who can swim that end up drowning.
The more experienced someone is, the easier it is for them to overlook certain small details. I wonder if the plot will unfold similarly to the movie. Looking forward to it!
The sisters-in-law have such great vision! Honestly, if the people from the Third Brigade have already achieved success and now spend their days dancing, playing chess, and scrolling through short videos, and suddenly they decide to pursue their dreams, as a wife, I would tell them to go as far away as possible.
But their children are still in school, and some have just been promoted after much difficulty. They put their work aside to chase their dreams, and their wives are truly supportive.
It's really admirable!
The cost of that punch was tremendous, as it directly pushed him and the Third Division to rock bottom. Perhaps, this is where Cheng Bing's true life begins... Undoubtedly, he has experienced two different lives, from the pinnacle to the depths, enduring a decade of torment and self-reflection.
The key point is that he managed to rise again after ten years... (Of course, we have a god's-eye view, and he is somewhat unlucky. That punch was merely coincidental; the real cause originated from the fists and kicks of the crowd before.)
I advise the inexperienced not to join in the gambling with Shi Tou just because it seems fun! It will definitely make you understand what it means to lose your money in an instant!
The good Shi Tou have already been picked by others, and the ones left here are the ones that aren't good. Even if you're lucky enough to pick a good Shi Tou, the moment the boss changes their mind after the deal, you'll be excluded immediately.
If you don't agree, a few burly men will promptly emerge from the crowd.
Cheng Bing, a modern lone ranger. From being imprisoned to later being released, and then single-handedly pursuing Wang Da Yong. Even though he had Shi Tou later on, you could still feel his loneliness. He walked alone, chasing after criminals.
It took him 12 years, traveling through four cities and working in eight different professions, before finally capturing the fugitive Wang Da Yong. Some may question the significance of spending such a long time chasing after one fugitive.
But I believe that we only have a few moments in life, and as long as that moment feels worthwhile to you, then it is worth it.
#Is Cheng Bing's relentless pursuit of the truth for ten years worth it? In my opinion, people like Cheng Bing can be found in our lives, and there are many stories similar to his that can be easily brought up.
For example, there's a police officer from the south who has been shaving his head for nearly twenty years, all because he hasn't been able to catch a particular suspect. He spent 19 or 20 years, but eventually apprehended that person.
The perseverance and determination of such individuals truly earn the admiration of us ordinary people.
Another example is our athletes who train tirelessly for decades, aiming for that one moment to bring glory to the country and win medals in competitions.
Therefore, the more movies like "The Third Division" there are, the better it is for us ordinary folks. They influence our emotions and inspire us in our own lives. People like Cheng Bing deserve our respect.
They should not be overlooked. They are witnesses, practitioners, and embodiments of our original intentions, justice, and commitment.
Pan Dahai isn't worried about Cheng Bing taking credit, after all, their positions are too far apart. It's just that back when the two teams were jointly capturing Wang Da Yong, Li Naiwen never thought of competing with Cheng Bing for anything.
At that time, they had conflicting interests as both were team leaders. Li Naiwen is also a good police officer. He once said to Cheng Bing, "I'm not worried that you'll catch Wang Da Yong before me, but I'm afraid that Wang Da Yong will escape again.
Da Yong's anti-detection abilities are incredibly strong and he is also very clever. That's why he hasn't been caught by the police all this time. The fact that he was let go by the Second Division, despite being mocked, shows that it's not because the Second Division is incompetent, but rather because the opposition is formidable.
In the past, there were several instances where the two brothers were caught due to Er Yong's interference. I suppose the difficulty of the police capturing Da Yong will significantly increase in the future.
The pacing is not slow, and there's a substantial amount of information. The attention to detail is also well-done. By the end of the first episode, the character profiles of the members of the three main teams have been established.
It's evident that the female character, Lin Ying, will undergo growth and changes in the subsequent story, which is highly anticipated. By the end of the second episode, the portrayal of the antagonist is also complete, establishing a dualistic confrontation.
The villains are intelligent, and the flaws of the heroes are also visible, giving the characters depth.
Everyone has their own struggles in life. Isn't it great to capture these details of life? Isn't it great to film it in a realistic way? Why must it be turned into a suspenseful, tense, and thrilling story to be considered good?
First of all, you need to identify with them as a group of ordinary people: car washers, taxi drivers, chefs, retired deputy directors, department heads of insurance companies, and a guy who relies on his wife's income. They all have families and warm homes!
By portraying them, it brings the detectives and us closer together.
In my personal opinion, the adaptation is reasonable. Although they added a familial storyline for the antagonist, it actually made the character more nuanced without forcefully injecting unnecessary romantic plotlines. Those who have watched suspenseful detective dramas know how annoying it can be when emotions are forcibly manipulated.
Of course, some may argue that this is an attempt to whitewash the character, but I believe that even villains have their reasons for being bad. Their upbringing and family environment are unavoidable factors. The drama doesn't shy away from portraying their pitiful side, but it still focuses on their despicable aspects.
At least, I don't think it deviates from that.
These two are here to steal things. Wang Da Yong, aren't you the horseman from "The Most Beautiful Season"? Fatso has arrived! Innocent, the flowers you've been waiting for are all withered.
Just by looking at them, you can tell they're experienced. They're wearing gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints. This household is no ordinary one! In those days, if someone had a gun, they were either a police officer or a member of the underworld.
Lin Ying, you're the best at finishing people off! Chen Bing, Shi Tou must have smoked a lot while you were asleep. This fat guy is quite ruthless, hiding something so big in his own place.
I have a feeling that Lin Ying is up to no good! And with so many people after one fat guy, couldn't you just chase him on foot? Chen Bing made Lin Ying stand guard outside the window, but this woman has a delusional sense of self-importance.
Seriously, don't you see the difference in strength? Chen Bing is hiding because his wife wants a divorce, and she's currently packing her bags. The words Qi Shu said indicate that something significant is about to happen, and it's probably the last time the Third Division will achieve something and receive an award.
Chen Bing has no appetite for food now; his busy marriage is about to fall apart in just half a month. The main story is here! Remember, the nightmare of the Third Division is about to begin...
In fact, Xiao Xu and Xiao Guo's fundamental issue is a lack of mutual understanding. Xiao Xu wants to be respected and believes that respect comes with status and wealth. However, Xiao Xu wants to do meaningful things, such as being a former detective and fighting crime.
His wife is not wrong either. She has given him status and money, which she sees as a form of respect. She wonders why, despite her respect, he still maintains such an attitude. It's a discrepancy in understanding between the two of them.
The reunion of the Third Brigade, with the sisters-in-law taking the lead! It must be said that this hard-earned "mission" was made possible by the understanding of their wives.
Lao Ma's wife with her words, "There are some things to take care of while you still have strength, so just go and get them done~"; Big Liao's wife buying tickets and packing their luggage; Bin Ge's wife contributing money and manpower, and that line on the phone, "Come back safely for me," struck a chord in my heart; Xiao Xu's wife's text message, "I've taken care of your leave, just ten days, stay safe," was like a reassuring pill, letting everyone know that the sisters-in-law ultimately chose to support them.
Opening a little speculation, Wang Da Yong isn't actually part of the Brotherhood gang; on the contrary, he might be their archenemy. Perhaps he sought refuge with the Brotherhood gang in the past, which is why he has that tattoo.
However, due to various reasons, he later left the gang and became enemies with the current leader. When Cheng BingShi Tou was searching for Wang Da Yong, the leader found out and planned to use both of them as bait to eliminate Wang Da Yong.
