I also appreciate the film's plot. Studying film professionally, I sometimes feel that film and art should be inseparable terms. However, this film seems to be not quite artistic. As a film art enthusiast, I didn't have high expectations for this commercial movie, "Nostalgia 3.5." However, after witnessing the fascinating original story and relating it to my own profession, I decided to watch it. I must say, there are numerous criticisms. Firstly, the character development falls short, lacking depth and only portraying surface-level traits. The plot feels rushed, with one storyline hastily transitioning to the next without adequate explanation. If I hadn't read the original story beforehand, I would have found it inexplicable. Let's consider it a tribute to the original characters and enjoy it for the sake of nostalgia.

In my opinion, if they had shown more of the process of the Third Brigade searching for Wang Eryong, highlighting how they searched for a long time and faced numerous failures, with every possibility in the case being exhausted, it would have been better to have each member of the Third Brigade gradually give up. Although there were a few areas that could have been further developed, such as the daughter's storyline, every character was fleshed out and their choices of seeking and letting go evoked a sense of melancholy. In 2023, Zhang Yi kicked off the year with a brilliant performance, and he concluded it with the finale of "The Three Great Teams," making it a fruitful year for him. The storytelling throughout the entire drama was quite smooth, and the investigation was carried out from beginning to end, giving "The Three Great Teams" a satisfying conclusion. The most authentic moment was when Cheng Bing finally achieved his wish, but could only bow respectfully to the unfamiliar police officer in front of him, mentioning the names of the three team members who completed the mission together. In that moment, he had no anthem, no life, no companionship. Just like when he walked out of the detention center, it didn't feel like a relief, but rather a bewildering confusion towards the boundless life ahead.
What truly weighs heavily on one's heart is how Cheng Bing, having lost his last ounce of support and aspiration, should face the nearly ten years of lost life and the subsequent disintegration of his family, as well as the detachment from society. The true death of an idealist begins with the collapse of belief. The strength that supported Cheng Bing to move forward is the essence of life itself. While everyone advised him to let go, only an obsessed madman completed his self-redemption. The hero gave his all until tears ran dry, while the criminal hid under an assumed name and enjoyed a decade of family bliss. It's a pitiful reflection of reality, yet ironically, it's painfully real.

As one of the best TV dramas of the year, "Kuang Biao" has also become one of my favorite movies of the year. The plot is not cliché, and actors like Zhang Yi deliver outstanding performances. The dialogue is also well-written. One of the most touching moments for me was when Cheng's team saluted during the final report of the Three Teams. 23/12, watched it with Yue Yue in Causeway Bay. I'm a bit unclear about the main theme of this kind of film. Does it persist in the idea that good will eventually triumph? Justice prevails over evil? That there are always good people in the world? It's a Chinese-style heroic film that transcends humanity... It might be interesting if they didn't find the suspect in the end. Some scenes are very "straight male" oriented. Some shots are meaningless, some plot points are too coincidental, and some logic is absurd. For example, would a couple ask each other if they regretted their profession before dying? Does the prison boss stop bullying someone just because they gave him two packs of cigarettes and two sausages? Let's just enjoy it for the fun of it.

Is this drama really an advertisement for modern forensic technology??? The actor who played the detective role has done too many of these roles. Although it still manages to make people believe, the ending was rushed. Leaving is the most realistic, but what was that about? Is one person the Three Big Teams?
I thought I was going to be beaten to death in that fight, and then the victim inexplicably had blood, inexplicably resolved the conflict, inexplicably signed the agreement, and inexplicably was let go. And just in that moment before being released, the alarm rang for the arrest. The earlier search was completely ignored, relying solely on forensic technology to find the real culprit. Ha!
But the facial expressions portrayed by the actor were truly moving. In the end, it felt like holding one's breath, feeling frustrated and pathetic. I don't understand.

It feels like my self-esteem and sense of being a police officer are still driving me. Coming out of prison, I feel extremely uncomfortable, especially in my interactions with my wife and daughter. It's awkward, like being a guest. And during the subsequent process of hunting down the killer, one by one, my teammates leave or go astray, making me start to doubt whether my decisions were right. Moreover, in this process, I realize that the current technology has truly made the process of apprehending and convicting criminals much simpler.

It's a great drama. As someone who has a family member in the police force, it reminds me of my childhood when I rarely saw my father. They sacrifice their own family for the safety of the people. The only shortcoming of the film is that the latter part feels rushed. The investigations and challenges could have been more extensive, and the dramatic conflicts could have been more intense. For example, the lack of cooperation from former colleagues or the humiliation faced after capturing criminals, and so on.

The story is a tale of lingering memories that will always have repercussions. However, it's evident that the director's intention was to convey the self-questioning, hesitation, and perseverance of each individual in this pursuit, just like how no matter where you swim, you always have to choose a direction to reach the shore. It's not easy for middle-aged men to portray cuteness, but fortunately, several supporting roles didn't fall short.

However, there were some dragging moments in the middle of the plot, especially during the drinking and singing scenes and the parts where they entered and exited one by one, affecting the pacing.
As someone who hasn't read the original work or knows about the real events, watching this film was quite refreshing. However, during the scene when the three main characters gathered for a dinner and sang the song "Youthful Ambitions without Worries," did the director really have to make them sing the entire song? One-sentence review: The crime-solving aspect of this Chinese drama is remarkably well-executed with good pacing. The diverse team members pursuing the culprit could have easily resulted in a superficial storyline, but this series elevates itself by showcasing the arduous investigation process and the personal sacrifices of each team member, giving it a sense of sacred nobility. The protagonist's intense confrontation with the secondary antagonist and the furious gaze in the police station ignite emotions, and what's even more commendable is that there are no boring redundancies throughout the entire narrative. While it may not surpass "Memories of Murder," it is still a remarkable piece of work.

Zhang Yi is truly a great actor, and he is perfect for roles that require perseverance for ideals and beliefs. Zhang Yi, you are now my idol!
The ending scene with the vast crowd really touched me! All the things that consumed their entire lives turned out to be just a drop in the ocean. There were no earth-shattering cries, no flowers and banners from everyone gathered around. They silently found solace in fulfilling their own convictions.
Even after standing still amidst the crowd for so long, the police cars in the background continued to rush off to deal with other cases. Is this the fate of our police uncles? It instantly made me feel a pang of heartache. The golden shields, forged with passion, enduring ten years of hardships and maintaining unwavering dedication.
I cried three times. The first time was when they made a resolution at the grave to chase the fugitive. The second time was when Cheng Dui and Director Yang reminisced at the snack stall.
The third time was when they said, "The mission of the Third Brigade is complete." Those who have conviction in their hearts, whether they succumb to reality or stay true to their original intentions, all deserve respect.
I watched the entire series without any dull moments. Although there were a few areas that could have been further developed, such as the daughter's storyline, every character was fleshed out and their choices of seeking and letting go evoked a sense of melancholy.
Cheng Bing, portrayed by Zhang Yi, is like a lone goose, traversing through seasons and landscapes, driven solely by his inner determination.
Even though they finally caught the person they were after, considering the amount of time spent and the people and things lost along the way, I'm not sure if it can be said that it was worth it.
(Of course, when it comes to upholding justice, there's no doubt that it was worth it.)
A blurred figure pursued for many years, resulting in the collapse of a group after a passionate and indignant attack. The turbulent era was an experience our younger generation had never encountered, unsure if it was the era that shaped the circumstances at that time or if the masses followed in the footsteps of their predecessors, creating such an era.
Amidst the choices of remembering the past and grasping the future, many people would choose another path. The remaining individual remembers the past, achieving a decent outcome, yet also getting lost in the journey towards the future.
In 2023, Zhang Yi kicked off the year with a brilliant performance, and he concluded it with the finale of "The Three Great Teams," making it a fruitful year for him. As an actor, Zhang Yi's performances have become somewhat formulaic, showcasing similarities in his roles.
However, on the flip side, when such roles are given to him, the audience feels a sense of reassurance.
Persistence is painful, relentlessly pursuing the truth and chasing after it is truly a solitary and lonely endeavor, not to mention that this story is based on real cases. I extend my sincere gratitude, respect, and admiration to the police comrades who serve the people without wearing uniforms.
You are true heroes!
The storytelling throughout the entire drama was quite smooth, and the investigation was carried out from beginning to end, giving "The Three Great Teams" a satisfying conclusion.
Whether it was the unrelenting obsession or the forced departures due to life's circumstances, although the team members eventually scattered, the fire in their hearts continues to burn.
I arrived late and missed the first few minutes. Throughout the entire film, I felt that it was very realistic with many details. Zhang Yi's acting was truly remarkable. However, perhaps due to my late arrival, I didn't have a profound emotional response after watching it in its entirety.
There are also many remarkable scenes, such as the chef's turnaround at the station and the well-designed lighting and shadows.
It's a meaningful film.
I went to the cinema to watch it, and overall, it was okay. However, the casting of the actors was a bit off in "Kuang Biao." It easily broke the immersion, giving me a sense of a sequel to "An Xin." I also hope Zhang Yi tries some other genres instead of always playing police roles.
He's become quite the expert in that area.
I personally think it deserves a rating of 8.5 to 9. It's really enjoyable to watch. The profession of being a police officer is truly deserving of respect, and the actors portrayed it very well.
The song chosen for this drama is also a perfect fit. It's a great production. (Zhang Yi is excellent at taking on such determined and mission-driven police roles.)
The glorious days in the police force are gone and can never be regained. Even in prison, I can't swallow my pride.
Zhang Yi's greatest strength lies in his ability to portray melancholic characters with an expressionless demeanor. The plot flows smoothly overall, although there are some dragging moments in the middle.
The retro-style (old-fashioned) filming approach used in the final scenes is quite interesting. Congratulations to Commissioner Yang, the true victor (which reflects reality as well).
I could become Cheng Bing. Perhaps it's a chance given to me by fate. I don't have the constraints of health, family, children, and so on. What do I want to do with this opportunity!
More than a decade ago, during my college years, the song "Old Boy" by Chopsticks Brothers was popular. Many people would listen to it and shed tears. At that time, I couldn't understand why, as I believed that the future of life was full of brightness and possibilities.
But when watching "The Third Squad," I found myself crying from the tea egg scene all the way to the end. Suddenly, I finally understood why I shed tears when listening to "Old Boy" back then.
When I went to see it, I was pleasantly surprised to discover many talented individuals from the "Roaring Team." No wonder "Roaring" became popular. The actors in this film have top-notch acting skills, with excellent dialogue delivery, emotional impact, and expressive performances.
However, there were some dragging moments in the middle of the plot, especially during the drinking and singing scenes and the parts where they entered and exited one by one, affecting the pacing.
As someone who hasn't read the original work or knows about the real events, watching this film was quite refreshing.
For example, when they initially showed the daughter's photo, I thought something tragic would happen to her, and when they all left, I thought they would come back for a big showdown. But the entire film portrayed reality rather than heroism, which is a rare and valuable aspect!
On December 24, 2023, I watched a TV drama that will not only leave a lasting impression on the plot, but also make me constantly reminisce about it. I truly admire Cheng's sense of justice and responsibility. Fortunately, in the end, the culprit faced justice; otherwise, I might have had trouble sleeping that night.
Zhang Yi's performance was impressive, and the overall pacing of the film was decent. However, during the scene when the three main characters gathered for a dinner and sang the song "Youthful Ambitions without Worries," did the director really have to make them sing the entire song?
It felt quite awkward! Besides, it was late at night, and the surroundings were residential areas. It could have been more considerate of the residents' peace and quiet!
I was amazed by Zhang Yi's powerful performance, but there were still some shortcomings. Why does Wang Eryong have such strong counter-investigation abilities? And why does he keep working as an air conditioner repairman?
I really want to know how the story's inspiration managed to track down the culprit in such a needle-in-a-haystack manner.
