Plot Synopsis

During the era of the Republic of China, the swindler Chen Mu Kun was adept at impersonating Taoistpriests. After causing trouble, he fled to Wuzufang Town. At the same time, Mu Kun's fraudulent activities, where heposed as the immortal Lü Dongbin, caught the attention of the real Lü Dongbin, who decided to descend to the mortal realm topunish him. Due to a series of unexpected events, Dongbin lost hispowers and was forced to stay in the human world. Dongbin, now known as Lei Shi, accompanied Mu Kun and guided him onto the rightpath, unraveling numerous mysteries in the town along the way. They also encountered Bai Xue Hua, a woman from a brothel, and their relationshipbecame entangled. The town mayor, Xin Hu, retired, and Mu Kun secretly obstructed the tyrant Jin Shi Hao from running for office. The newly appointed mayor, Xin Zheng Yi, aimed to reform the town and confronted Shi Hao about hispast actions, leading to a series of tumultuous events in Wuzufang Town.
