Si Huang Zi didn't consider Fourth Brother's thoughts anymore. Fourth Brother fought with Shi Zi once, but Shi Zi didn't pursue it, so Fourth Brother wasn't afraid of Shi Zi. He fought with the prince without knowing the prince's identity.
If he had known, it was probably instinctual. Sometimes I feel that Si Huang Zi is too obedient, which doesn't align with the times. Maybe we should consider whether we are often exploited by bosses, suppressed by elders, and exploited by life.
Are we overly submissive, afraid to resist anymore?
This drama is completely unrealistic. It's supposed to be a comedy, but after watching it, I feel angry and miserable. Lady Chun shows extreme favoritism and treats Lu Bu Ping impolitely and harshly!
The eldest daughter is lazy, arrogant, and loves to compare herself to others. The second daughter is a pushover without any principles. The fourth daughter is impolite, uncultured, and rude. She only knows how to resort to violence without reasoning.
If it weren't for Shi Zi's affection for her, she would have died a thousand times over! I'm dropping this drama.
This drama is quite enjoyable. The eldest sister is lazy and doesn't do anything. She has a big temper and is too eager for wealth and status. Her attitude changes immediately when someone is rich.
The prince gets injured, and the hairpin is a gift to thank her for taking care of him, but she snatches it away. As for Lu Bu Ping, she never shows him any kindness except when she's trying to coax him.
The second sister is an honest person who does household chores and cooking without complaining. Others take it for granted, so she needs to be more assertive and learn to refuse.
The third sister is someone who reasons things out. She can see the unfair treatment towards the second sister and Lu Bu Ping, and she stands up for justice. Her intentions are good, but sometimes she shouldn't be too rigid.
The fourth sister is the youngest and has a mischievous and carefree personality. She dreams of being a female knight and doesn't have any ill intentions (just a simple analysis).
In short, each of the sisters has a different personality and pursues different things.
It's really good. I clicked on it with a "let's give it a try" attitude at the beginning, but the more I watched, the more I enjoyed it. The plot is rich, and the characters are well-developed. Each person has their own story, and it's a heartwarming and funny comedy that doesn't rely on plot gimmicks.
Liu Lin's arrival is a must-watch for me. I've seen the latest episode, and one thing I can't understand is why Ke Ling can freely hit people.
Shi Zi said it's okay to hit, and I could understand it when her identity was unknown. But after knowing each other's identities, it doesn't make much sense to continue hitting, especially when Shi Zi didn't do anything. Why would they hit her?
Even if someone isn't scared, they shouldn't act like an ignorant teenager. Knowing that the other person is Shi Zi, even if they aren't afraid or worried about their family being implicated, they should immediately hold her accountable. In reality, there's no need to force humor into every situation. Deliberately trying to be funny isn't humorous; it's rather dumbing down the plot.
How can a character like Lao Si be together with the prince? It's ridiculous. When she didn't know Shi Zi's true identity, she slapped her recklessly, and even after knowing that Shi Zi was the prince, she continued to slap him. With her background and the responsibility on her family, who gave her the courage? In ancient times, offending a member of the royal family or an official could result in the punishment of the entire family. Although it's a comedy, it shouldn't be so careless...
The compatibility between characters and the believability of their relationships may not always align perfectly with real-world expectations. In fictional storytelling, there can be intentional exaggerations, inconsistencies, or liberties taken to create comedic or dramatic effects. While the plot may seem illogical or unrealistic at times, it's important to remember that it is a work of fiction and may not adhere strictly to real-life rules and logic.
I was unhappy watching the latest episode. Why is it that mothers-in-law always dote on their sons-in-law more than their own daughters? Why don't we see the mother-in-law doting on her daughter-in-law?
Even if they don't treat the daughter-in-law as their own daughter, there are often evil mother-in-laws who mistreat their daughters-in-law.
In this show, the way the matriarch treats Lu Bu Ping is the same as how she treats her second daughter, right?
Why is it that even though they both saved her life, the second daughter is treated so poorly? When Lu Bu Ping mentioned that everyone in the family bullies Pei Lan, I thought the matriarch would reflect on her actions, but no, the second daughter is still the one who is unappreciated. Before Lu Bu Ping arrived, she was the one doing the purchasing, cooking, laundry, and everything else, but she couldn't even receive a kind word. Meanwhile, the other three daughters often complain about the simplicity of the meals, but I haven't seen any of them doing any household chores. It's frustrating.
In the sixth episode, it's evident that the matriarch feeds Si Huang Zi, and the fourth daughter becomes jealous. Her mother is truly biased, showering Si Huang Zi with love while physically hitting her own daughters. It's supposed to be a comedy, but it's getting irritating. In reality, if a son-in-law mistreated a daughter, he wouldn't get away with it just by saying a few sweet words to the mother-in-law.
Also, the matriarch mentioned that it doesn't matter if a man is poor, as long as he has a good character. While character is important, if a woman only considers character when choosing a partner, the man would likely be poor before marriage, and the financial burden would only increase after starting a family, especially after having children. Just considering character, well, have you seen men marry without considering family background and only looking at character?
Anyway, I won't say more. I don't want to be accused of being materialistic. But personally, I have no intention of getting married. For those girls who are looking for a partner, be more practical. The better a woman is, the less she is valued. Look at Pei Lan. Does anyone in this family show her any compassion?
Chun Jin Rong, the eldest daughter of the Chun family, is officially paired with Shi Zi, portrayed by Chang Long. However, this Shi Zi is somewhat unruly and often stirs up trouble, resulting in a poor reputation.
Initially, Chun Jin Rong didn't have a favorable impression of him, and they were like happy enemies. But over time, they developed feelings for each other.
Chun Pei Lan, the second daughter of the Chun family, is in a relationship with Lu Bu Ping, played by Ren Hao. In the drama, Lu Bu Ping is the son of the leader of the martial arts alliance. Although he has a dream of being a hero who saves the damsel in distress, he is not skilled in martial arts and has a more submissive personality.
On the contrary, Chun Pei Lan is very proactive and takes the lead in this relationship.
I've given up! What's up with the fourth daughter? She, a commoner, dares to frequently hit Shi Zi. This setup is really hard to understand and not funny at all. It just makes me angry.
And then there's the second sister-in-law. Being thrifty is not a problem, but the whole family agrees that the food has gone bad and shouldn't be eaten after two days. Yet she insists on eating it.
Even though there's a doctor in the family who explicitly told her not to eat the mushrooms she picked, she still went ahead and did it. It's especially emphasized that being thrifty shouldn't come at the cost of risking the lives of family members.
To be honest, Chun Peilan deserves it. I find people like her the most annoying in real life. Either don't pretend to be pitiful and helpless, or take matters into your own hands. When Lu Bu Ping speaks up for her, she still hesitates and retreats.
Isn't she asking for trouble by willingly subjecting herself to mistreatment?
I've watched up to Episode 7. Why did this show give such characterizations to these four girls? The eldest, who does nothing and someone in the comments said she's lazy but I think that's fine; the second, always obedient, the family's punching bag and servant; the third, an otherworldly fairy who doesn't care for worldly matters; the fourth, idle and quick-tempered, always slapping people's ears.
How did a widow's household, an ordinary family, manage to raise children with such personalities and still live peacefully?
The plot is not only comedic but also absurd. There's no need to exaggerate the characters to such an extent. Each daughter highlights their personality flaws, without any shining moments.
It's already a surprise that Chun Ke Ling, who slaps people at the drop of a hat, hasn't ended up in jail. And she's paired with a prince who is intellectually challenged and solely exists for the sake of comedy.
It's not like there are no other characters besides the Chun family. All the conflicts revolve around them, without any significant context or background. There are no villains, and the values of the 21st century are forcefully imposed on the historical backdrop, completely disregarding the era's context.
The amount of information at the beginning of this drama is truly immense. It's definitely a grand production that deserves careful appreciation. The filming is very realistic and natural, which is very captivating.
I enjoy watching this type of drama. Can we have more of these intriguing storylines?
Because of a box of egg pastries, the second sister mistakenly used the toxic powder that the youngest sister brought back, thinking it was powdered sugar, and added it to the pastries.
A blind date ended right there. Yu Ruyu cares about her reputation.
Her eldest daughter is already thirty and still unmarried. What kind of talk will circulate? And she still has three more daughters behind her. If the eldest can't get married, it will be even more difficult for the others.
Yu Ruyu continues to navigate the path of blind dates with her eldest daughter.
Unexpectedly, they are squeezed into the mansion by the congratulatory procession of a wealthy family. They didn't even receive a dowry when entering the door. Yu Ruyu stopped her eldest daughter from eating others' food, but when they were leaving, a servant intercepted them and demanded a dowry.
They didn't even get to sit at the table, yet they have to pay for the gifts. This is very distressing for Yu Ruyu. Not only does she have to compensate for the money owed due to the egg pastry incident, but she also has to give a gift to the wealthy master.
Isn't this adding insult to injury for a family that is not well-off to begin with?
Yu Ruyu is stubborn. Even though the servant had let them leave, she felt that his words were offensive. She clearly wasn't there to freeload, but being mistaken for one made her uncomfortable.
Several times, she tried to leave but returned to argue with the servant.
Later, they even alarmed the wealthy master. Originally, it was a polite situation, but Yu Ruyu's repeated emphasis caused the elderly master to grow cold and scold the servant for letting anyone in.
That's how people are, choosing to suffer rather than lose face. Yu Ruyu couldn't bear it anymore. She took out money to congratulate the elderly master's birthday and returned to the table, still feeling indignant.
Ruyu's ex-husband, called Meng Long? Haha, why not call him Meng Kong instead, as his grand dreams have come to nothing. His junior brother brings back a previously unseen herb from outside, and in the end, his senior brother plays the Divine Farmer and samples all sorts of herbs.
Unfortunately, he overdoses and meets an early demise.
Left behind are Ruyu, an orphaned widow, and their five children. His junior brother, Zhensheng, should feel guilty deep down, after all, it was he who brought back the herb. So, he willingly takes on the responsibility of taking care of this big family.
He sells the pharmacy and lends all his savings to Ruyu. Once the family settles down in the city, he makes a long journey to come and see how they're doing, claiming to just want to check on the well-being of the mother and daughters.
In reality, he has no money or house left and naturally wants to seek refuge with them.
He becomes another long-term laborer who doesn't ask for a salary. Ruyu's family, actually, is quite content, but they don't realize it themselves.
Let's not talk about anything else, let's just focus on this business partnership where they split the profits one-ninth.
Have you ever seen such a thing? When I saw that, I couldn't help but burst into laughter. How is this even considered a fair division? It's clearly the wife giving the husband an allowance!
Sometimes, people shouldn't be too stubborn, especially women.
If the person in front, for whatever reason, is gone and no longer there, then be resolute and brave enough to find someone else. Life is long, and there are still days to be lived. Why suffer and cling to a façade of self-righteousness under a memorial arch?
If you haven't found a true partner, that's one thing, but if you've encountered the right person, then dare to love again.
Everyone, regardless of their status, experiences worries. It's not an emotion limited to the poor; sometimes those in high positions face even greater and more overwhelming distress.
Si Huang Zi fell in love with Ke Ling, but facing Ke Ling's ambiguous feelings and the sense of exclusion due to not being on the same team, it broke Si Huang Zi's heart.
He was troubled, wondering why he, who was so good, appeared so terrible in Ke Ling's eyes.
In reality, Ke Ling didn't think Si Huang Zi was bad. She was just not yet grown up and mature.
When she saw her own mother being stern with her but being caring and attentive towards Si Huang Zi, personally feeding him chicken soup and always showing concern, it struck a chord.
Her mother had never treated her that way. So in Ke Ling's eyes, Si Huang Zi suddenly became someone else's child, which made her indignant.
She didn't understand Si Huang Zi's indulgence and admiration for her.
She only felt that he was trying to snatch away her mother's love. When she found out about Si Huang Zi's connection with the Prince's Mansion, she became even more unwilling.
She thought, "You come from a wealthy and privileged background, yet you still want to compete with me for this little thing I have. How infuriating!
In her eyes, Si Huang Zi's actions were nothing more than being unable to tolerate her happiness.
So, Ke Ling's feelings towards Si Huang Zi were purely envy, jealousy, and hatred, without any romantic association.
When faced with troubles, we must maintain a calm mind.
Only then can we see through our surroundings and think more rationally to find suitable solutions.
Do you have any unspoken secrets? Those situations that are as they are, but you just can't bring yourself to tell anyone about them. And the result is that others are left completely perplexed, thinking you're the silliest and most foolish person in the world.
How could you act in such a way? How could you disappoint yourself with such a decision?
If it were only a matter of well-intentioned advice, it would be manageable. But there are those who go even further and make decisions on your behalf without caring about your own plans.
They charge ahead and make arrangements without considering how you truly feel.
Just like Uncle Zhen Sheng in the drama, he doesn't want to leave the Chun family. Even if he has the opportunity for better prospects at the large pharmacy, with a higher salary and free room and board, he refuses to leave the Chun family.
He doesn't want to give up his one-ninth share, and he doesn't want to miss a single day with Ru Yu.
But Big Sister and Third Sister are completely unable to understand. At first, Third Sister supported him out of a sense of righteousness, rallying behind the cause to boost the morale of their respected master, whom she saw as weak and unwilling to compete.
Big Sister, on the other hand, is even more intimidating. She takes it upon herself to make arrangements without consent. She secretly negotiates with the pharmacy owner, demanding an extra five taels per month from Uncle Zhen Sheng, all the while thinking she's clever and that those five taels should go straight into her own pocket.
Uncle Zhen Sheng truly finds himself in a difficult position, unable to voice his concerns.
Our Uncle Zhen Sheng has it tough. He traveled a long way just to have a meal and a place to sleep, all to see the beloved Ru Yu he's been yearning for. He even agreed to a 10% share, not much higher than Lu Bu Ping's worth.
Is it because being a man from the Chun family means being humble?
But this isn't really about profit sharing; it's clearly Ru Yu giving Zhen Sheng his pocket money. It's like a married couple, where the wife takes her husband's salary every month and casually hands him a hundred yuan to buy cigarettes or an ice cream.
Uncle Zhen Sheng is so pitiful. I even wonder if he has a masochistic personality by nature. He's knowledgeable in medicine, so why can't he find a decent job to support himself?
He has talent, so finding a wife shouldn't be difficult, but he insists on Ru Yu.
And he can't even explain himself clearly. He's doing a great deed, but he can't articulate it, and he ends up being misunderstood by Ru Yu.
Being a man is difficult, and being a good man is even harder. I suddenly realized that there are men like this around me, being bullied and exploited, never knowing how to stand up for themselves or realizing they're being taken advantage of.
They willingly earn money to support their families, only to be rewarded with a low-quality green hat. What's the point?
Is it that the cigarettes aren't good enough, or is it that the drink isn't satisfying?
Shouldn't people learn to cut their losses and be clear-minded? When it's time to let go, just let go.
Xiao Xiao and Big Sister, they truly are the Plastic Sisters. The way they enthusiastically greet each other upon meeting, without considering others around them, truly showcases their longing for each other.
Later, as I watched Xiao Xiao proudly show off her earrings, I realized that their friendship stems from their respect and need for an audience.
When they showcase themselves, there's someone with a face full of envy, openly displaying their admiration. It's such a joyous thing, which is why they need each other, serving as suppliers and consumers of each other's spirits.
However, this is only when their strengths are equal. Once their circumstances become unequal and differences arise, their relationship becomes unstable.
Presently, Xiao Xiao has married an older man. In her eyes, the older man spoils her enough, providing her with endless pocket money.
She can casually buy new clothes and jewelry whenever she wants.
Big Sister envies her, but even in her envy, she won't allow herself to marry an older man for material gains. That's where she differs from Xiao Xiao; she has her own persistence and bottom line.
And that's also the main reason why Big Sister can find happiness in the end. Even among similar people, there are slight differences in traits, and it is these tiny distinctions that determine the divergent paths of their lives.
Take a look at our hero Lu Bu Ping's attire. Dressed in white with a white bamboo hat, at first glance, he truly embodies the image of a generation of heroes. He has a majestic appearance and speaks with a resounding voice.
But who would have thought that his true skill would be exposed by a little hooligan's attack? What kind of hero is he? Not only can he not defeat a little hooligan, but he can't even master the posture of drawing a sword.
From the moment the sword clumsily fell to the ground, he lost his reputation and bid farewell to his hero identity.
Now, let me ask you, is it worth giving up one's identity for the sake of love?
Although he no longer has dreams of wandering the world and upholding justice, he has entered the Pei Lan household and become a long-term servant.
If we consider only the aspect of survival, Pei Lan has undoubtedly saved him.
With his martial arts skills, if he hadn't left the city gates, he probably would have met an untimely end.
Moreover, being a servant is not a bad thing. Although he hasn't mastered martial arts, he has acquired many useful skills.
He can do everything from cleaning and picking vegetables to washing clothes. He has become a versatile household husband, which is highly sought after in today's society. Nowadays, it's popular to have a powerful female lead and a cute, obedient male companion.
That's how you can truly enjoy a happy life.
I think Pei Lan and Bu Ping's mismatched partnership is quite good. When they complain, there is someone to listen. When they are sad, there is someone to comfort and console.
Pei Lan can even step in and save the day when Ruyu loses her temper. Moreover, Lu Bu Ping should come from a decent family. Perhaps he ran away from home to experience life. When the truth is revealed, he will surely give Pei Lan a grand wedding ceremony.
