The atmosphere of the Angel Rest Home is really spine-chilling, especially when the head nurse appears, the sense of oppression is so strong! As I watched, what made me feel the most despair is that once a normal person enters a mental institution, they can't prove their sanity.
Once branded with that label, the feeling of being unable to escape is terrifying!
1. Why does the deceased pianist have a cherry blossom tattoo on the palm of his hand with a pen? Who did it and when? It definitely wasn't the cherry blossom itself, because the pianist left bloodstains on her wrist in a desperate struggle before he died.
So the cherry blossom definitely didn't want anyone to know that she killed the pianist.
2. Why did the cherry blossom ask Lin Mo to bring her the little finger of the deceased pianist?
Why did Lin Mo later say that the cherry blossom didn't want him to bring the little finger, but wanted to tell him the truth?
3. How did the deceased pianist manage to go to the third floor on the day he called Lin Mo?
How did he open the door to the director's office?
At the end of the third episode, the girl says, "We've discovered some new information." What exactly is that new information? Could it be related to the psychologist?
The first case won't be resolved until the fourth episode, so Chen Sicheng wouldn't let us see something that everyone can easily guess, right?
The pastry master who can't make bread, the yoga master spinning in place, and the beauty master who styles buzz cuts. The hidden rule in the room: once there's a fire, escape immediately.
Remember, the people around you will try to prevent you from leaving the Angel Rehabilitation Center. If you're stopped, make sure to leave at all costs. Seriously, this show has piqued my interest with its craziness!
Lin Mo noticed that the injuries on the corpse didn't match the areas he had investigated, so he repeatedly violated the hospital's regulations just to enter the high-risk zone of the new map.
In the end, when things got chaotic, Lin Mo's physical strength was overpowered, and he was trapped by the Muay Thai fighter several times. He had no choice but to seek help from the outside world.
Moreover, the Tang Detective series is meant to create a detective universe, and personally, I quite like this part.
The mastermind behind the first case is the doctor who writes books and listens to stories, right? The hospital director is at most an accomplice. They wouldn't reveal the killer so blatantly right from the start.
And there are two details in the final counseling session. First, the doctor put away the recorder before leaving, which wasn't shown in the previous sessions. Second, when Lin Mo asked the director what kind of person he is, the doctor said he's a normal person, not a patient.
We know that Yinghua is a normal person, but before she died, she told Lin Mo that she's not crazy and that the director and others are crazy. From this, we can infer that the doctor should also have some issues because he appears too normal, and it's even possible that he deliberately set up a situation to provoke Lin Mo when he entered.
From the beginning with the exploration of human nature to now, there are more and more things worth watching! "What defines normal and extraordinary?" "Who gets to decide if someone is a patient or not?
The Angel Rehabilitation Center is a society without order, where the director holds the power to determine the treatment plans, whether patients can be discharged, and even life and death decisions.
Peng Xi tells Lin Mo, "You're better off being a patient," as the dominant party with the power to decide. And when 414 enters the Angel Rehabilitation Center, everyone is intimidated by absolute force, reflecting the primal nature of society: survival of the fittest.
So, who can truly define what is "normal"?
The Angel Sanatorium made me visualize the battleground... It appears to be a tranquil "paradise away from the world," but the first thing upon entering is losing one's social identity, cutting off all social interactions with relatives.
In a secluded corner where no one cares, this completely sealed rehabilitation facility becomes a spiritual prison for a group of "mentally troubled" individuals.
Putting myself in Lin Mo's shoes, that overwhelming sense of powerlessness of wanting to escape but being unable to prove oneself, directly echoes the scene of breaking out of the hospital at the beginning...
The Angel Sanatorium truly lives up to its reputation as a "battleground in the human world," and I'm starting to feel a sense of dread.
The first four episodes were very disappointing. There was no suspense throughout, all the clues were obtained through questioning, and the investigation relied solely on running around.
You could tell who the villain was at a glance! Although the acting skills of the cast were good, the script was terrible, lacking any twists. Many things that were set up in advance were left unexplained in the end.
In short, it was a mess!
At present, it has become clear. Lin Mo found in the dean's dash cam footage that within an hour after the deaths of the two patients, they both went to the same place. This dental hospital may be the main location for organ trafficking.
The transitions in this case-solving scene are incredible. One second, Lin Mo is lying in bed receiving electroshock therapy, and the next second, it cuts directly to him having a face-to-face conversation with the deceased, discussing and analyzing the case.
Because only the departed cannot lie. This drama is worth following, and Lin Mo's acting through his eyes is superb.
I think Xiaocha saw Huangpo committing a crime, and Huangpo also saw Xiaocha. However, Xiaocha pretended not to see out of concern for Huangpo and their strained relationship with their father.
Huangpo, on the other hand, wanted to protect Xiaocha, so they didn't tell those people. Sometimes the least likely scenario turns out to be the most plausible. Huangpo's excessive enthusiasm and some connections could explain their involvement, but I'm afraid there is no real connection between Huangpo and Xiaocha.
Two points to consider: 1. The psychiatrist didn't call Lin Mo by his code name "414" but addressed him by his real name. 2. The fact that the pianist died at the location where he was supposed to meet Lin Mo indicates that the killer can understand piano code language.
However, when Lin Mo played the piano for help later on, neither the hospital director nor the head nurse understood it. This suggests that the mastermind behind the scenes should be one of the other two people present at the time: the psychiatrist and Liu Ruyan.
Considering their different degrees of influence on Lin Mo, my guess is that the psychiatrist is the mastermind behind the case, while Liu Ruyan is Q.
Only when you have no dramas to watch can you truly understand the feeling of being in a drama drought. Becoming a fan of "Detective Tang" has taught me the essence of anticipation and waiting.
It's like the two sides of a coin, inseparable and in opposition to each other, much like good and evil. In the midst of good and evil, I choose good. It's a path filled with anticipation.
So, when will it premiere?
When the black dog went crazy and self-destructed, I was 10,000% sure he was faking it. But in the end, it turns out he really did self-destruct? What?? Come on, even a seasoned detective like him shouldn't suddenly become so foolish.
At least give us a scene where he admits, "I was faking it.
It seems like the predecessor of this angelic sanatorium was an opera house, and many people inside really resemble the genius pianist described. But it's also eerie because from the head nurse to the nurses below, there's a strange expression as they look at each patient, giving a feeling similar to an American horror film.
And there's this Thai boxing expert here who definitely has a story. Nancy seems to have developed feelings for Lin Mo, and it feels like the entire hospital is hiding the whereabouts of the pianist. The way the Thai boxing expert whispers to Lin Mo, and the expression on Nurse Nancy's face behind them, it's quite amusing.
Nancy tells Lin Mo something terrifying, that 316 killed his own son and daughter-in-law. Lin Mo: "You're still kind to me!" Lin Mo: "But I still feel that something is off about this sanatorium.
Let me explain. In the second case, Ah Ming died, and the lawyer was killed on the same night. Her daughter narrowly escaped by hiding in the closet, but in the fifth episode, there was a crucial clue—a lotus symbol.
Only after watching the preview did I realize that it was connected to the Lotus Society. The Lotus Society corresponds to the night when the lawyer was killed. And the old woman (黄婆) is one of them.
When Lin Mo was investigating Ah Ming's case, the old woman tried to get close to him. In the final scene of the fifth episode, the old woman attacked Lin Mo with a knife, but it wasn't fatal.
Now, the priority is to find the old woman, which could be a breakthrough.
