When those who abandoned you in your most helpless moments, whether they are relatives, friends, or lovers, there's no need to continue deepening your relationships with them. They are fully aware of your suffering, yet they can coldly stand by, or even kick you when you're down.
Because when you become strong, they will forget your weaknesses, and when you are vulnerable, they will magnify your flaws. People like that are never worth forming deep connections with or forgiving.
My favorite bittersweet scene is when faced with the person they love, who is naturally gifted with eloquence, Rong Yu stutters and fidgets nervously, their hands trembling. Even their confession is polite and restrained, avoiding any abruptness, as they solemnly express their love and await a sincere response.
The heartbreaking scene is when the two of them misunderstand each other in a room at the tavern. Rong Yu becomes visibly upset, their eyes turning red...
Leaving aside other matters, Zhizi is innocent. His sister-in-law is still pregnant, and the child hasn't even had a chance to see the world yet. Even if the entire He family is guilty, the child is innocent. Your nephew is a human being, and your nephew is precious.
Isn't the child of someone else innocent too? When they grow up, they will also be cherished by their parents.
In the earlier episodes, there was a scene where Rong Yu was looking at the star chart, and Jiuling was with his martial brother. If the original destined relationship was like that, then it makes sense that the He family, holding military power and far away in Nanjiang, would meet an unfortunate end due to the ministers' fear of a powerful family after four years.
However, in order to help her change her destiny, Rong Yu encountered a series of unexpected events, not only entangling herself but also making the Rong family the cause of the He family's extermination.
Many people blame Jiuling for drugging Rong Yu and making her act foolishly, but I want to say that a romantic storyline requires various entanglements for the characters to truly enter each other's hearts.
It is precisely because of this mistake that the value of Jiuling's feelings is highlighted. Just as it was mentioned in the ending, everyone loves the elegant and talented young master, but only He Jiuling, who is foolish yet kind-hearted, won't abandon the equally foolish but kind-hearted Rong Yu and deepens their relationship through their interactions.
They are both lovers who are willing to give.
This drama is one of the few that made me cry the most. I felt so sorry for the characters in their 90s, especially the transformation of the male lead in the later episodes. It was heart-wrenching to know that they hadn't even met yet.
I cried my eyes out. There were very few sweet scenes between them after they regained their consciousness, and the reunion was too short, which was a bit regrettable. I hope the two of them can have more romantic moments together.
Song Yi Ren's crying scenes were well done. After briefly looking at the male lead's other co-stars, I feel that his chemistry with Song Yi Ren is the strongest and most genuine. It's just a pity that there were too few sweet moments.
Uncle was a bit ruthless, but I just can't bring myself to hate him. The child he raised, the one who was so good and precious, was his only family, the only inheritor and hope. But he was poisoned and driven to madness, and he didn't hesitate to gamble the lives of his entire family, all for the sake of eloping.
If it were anyone else, could they remain calm? Uncle and his whole family were completely destroyed, weren't they?
In fact, considering their previous experiences, this is the best possible ending. Both of them had a deep but short-lived love. He wished that their story could have started off beautifully, without misunderstandings, biases, or national grievances.
They would have recognized each other at first sight, met the most wonderful person at the best time, and then loved each other for a lifetime. *sobs* It really made me cry.
Jiuling suffered from a strange illness and was sent to Wuhua Mountain for treatment when she was six years old. Although her master loved her, he had a peculiar temperament and didn't like outsiders disturbing him.
He often accompanied various insects and monsters, and frequently went on journeys. There was no one to take care of her in Wuhua Mountain, except for an older martial brother who was only a few years older than her.
They had simple meals, let alone teaching her other things. So, even ten years later when she recovered from her illness and descended the mountain, Jiuling still had the hairstyle of a six-year-old child with two braids pointing upwards.
This hairstyle is very fitting for the storyline. In addition, this drama mainly highlights the male lead's celestial appearance, while the female lead is more adorable, mischievous, and dominant.
The early portrayal by Yiren was particularly lively. Jiuling truly embodies her character. I have also seen many of Yiren's modern school-themed dramas, and they were good too. Recently, I came across Yiren's reality show "Peach Blossom Valley," and I felt a special sense of empathy.
But I want to say, don't exhaust yourself mentally. Just focus on being yourself. If you discover your shortcomings, make efforts to improve what you can, and accept the things that cannot be changed.
You have so much because you deserve it.
To be honest, I really like the feeling of them being together. It's as if they are destined to be each other's other half. I've watched many TV dramas, and I've never had this kind of feeling with the main characters or any other couple.
I don't know why, but with them, I always feel like they were born to be each other's soulmates.
