Plot Synopsis

In theprosperous city of Qinggang, Judge Qi Lin of the Criminal Tribunal of thePeople's Court has won widespread acclaim for his outstanding case-handling abilities and impartial, selfless approach to adjudication. However, faced with the dilemma of the Enforcement Bureau having a large backlog of cases but insufficient manpower, Qi Lin was selected to be rotated to the Enforcement Bureau toprovide support, becoming the first judge-rank official to be assigned there.

In the Enforcement Division Two, Qi Lin encountered Division Chief Chu Yun, whose case-handling approach differed greatly from his own. Chu Yun emphasizedprocedural justice, believing that every enforcement stepmust strictly follow legalprocedures, while Qi Lin leaned more towardspursuing substantive justice, believing that the ultimatepurpose of the law is to ensure thepeople truly obtain fairness and justice. The difference in their case-handlingphilosophies led to numerous conflicts and disagreements in their work.

However, as they delved deeper into handling a series of thorny cases, Qi Lin and Chu Yun gradually recognized each other's strengths. Qi Lin began to understand Chu Yun's insistence on legalprocedures was to ensure every case received fair treatment, while Chu Yun also saw Qi Lin's decisiveness and boldness in handling cases. Through thisprocess, not only did they improve their own shortcomings, but they also developed a deepfriendship.

In Enforcement Division Two, Qi Lin also became acquainted with colleagues of diversepersonalities, including judicial assistants Ou Yang Lu Lu, Ye Xuan, and Yan An Yang, clerks Zhang Tian Yi and Tian Jia, and courtpolice officer Shao Jun. Together, they faced difficulties, solvedproblems, and gradually formed a tight-knit and formidable team.

The six-month rotationperiod came to an end before they knew it, and Qi Lin had already developed deepfeelings for his Enforcement Bureau colleagues. After much contemplation, Qi Lin decided to change his original careerplan and remain in Enforcement Division Two. Meanwhile, Chu Yun also led the division in resolving a major case hidden beneath Qinggang's seemingly tranquil surface, restoring the city's rightfulpeace.

Through 16 enforcement cases closely related to thepeople's lives, this drama series depicts the growthprocess of young judges as they uphold theirprofessional ideals and continuously strive for improvement. With their wisdom and courage, they safeguard the dignity of the law and the rights of thepeople, becoming the guardians of justice in the city.
