Qian Xiucai is not content with being just a gatekeeper and feels that his talents are being overlooked. In the beginning, he shared a lot of information with Chen Jia Ping, perhaps hoping to be recognized for his shining qualities. He told Luo Guan Qun the story of the winning strategist during the Warring States period, hoping to have his own aspirations.
But how did he end up going in the wrong direction and helping the Japanese?
Today's plot was really unsatisfying, it left me feeling frustrated. Zhang Shu Yun, who didn't have a clue about self-preservation, ended up siding with the Japanese. Qian Chengyi eagerly became a traitor.
Jiang Zhaoguo, in order to sow discord between Zuo Shuang Tao and Chen Jia Ping, actually killed his own comrade Liu Wuchang. And Zuo Shuang Tao, unfortunately, didn't fully trust Chen Jia Ping. Lu Fang Fang was easily exposed, and to top it off, Tao Da Chun somehow managed to find out the time and location of Chen Jia Ping's meeting with the higher-ups.
How did he find out?
Chen Jia Ping is Luo Guan Qun's subordinate in the business. He relies on buttering up Luo Guan Qun to get by. However, Luo Guan Qun has been overshadowed by Zhao An, so naturally, no one would think highly of Chen Jia Ping in such a situation.
On the other hand, Zuo Shuang Tao has a powerful backing in his uncle, and he often knows how to handle Chen Jia Ping, who is quick to resort to dramatic actions like jumping off a building or getting divorced.
Chen Jia Ping handed over the gold to Manager Luo Guanqun, putting on a greedy appearance that made Manager Luo burst into laughter. Seizing the opportunity while his mood was good, Chen Jia Ping continued to probe whether they should still give the formula for border currency paper to Shanxia.
This reverse probing tactic was truly clever.
Zhuang Tao portrayed a profound depiction of a scared yet resilient young person with faith, prepared to face death in the operating room. The turning point in her future, where holding onto her beliefs becomes crucial, lies in her rescue.
They trust each other and fight together.
To help Chen Jia Ping obtain the hidden address of the border currency paper formula, they put on a great performance right under the watchful eyes of the guards at Shanxia. They smoothly passed on the message, obtained the address, and delayed Shanxia, allowing Chen Jia Ping to reach the telephone booth ahead of time.
The coordination among the three of them was simply impeccable.
From start to finish, each episode was packed with intense plot developments. Almost every villain fell into the hands of an even worse person. The good characters, except for the surviving Plum Blossom Four and Five of Hearts and the divine assist Cheng Zi, didn't sacrifice in vain either.
They all sacrificed themselves to cover and support the protagonist in carrying out the mission.
Chen Jia Ping and Zuo Shuang Tao, pursued by Uchida due to Luo Guanqun's downfall, are temporarily hiding in the French Concession. At this moment, they only have each other to rely on. No matter how difficult the situation is, Chen Shuang and Zuo Shuang Tao will never give up the fight.
Shanxia Wufu saw her as a beautiful doll, someone he could exploit and destroy. He took pleasure in manipulating Han Lu. From him, all I saw was the arrogance of someone who gained power and looked down upon, even despised, ordinary Chinese people.
They were originally a couple deeply in love, but due to carrying their own beliefs, they had to hide their true feelings and treat each other with calculated masks. The storyline itself is not conducive to romance, but it still makes people unable to help but care about the future direction of the two.
The power of faith portrayed by Guan Xiao Tong and Zuo Shuang Tao's acting skills and delivery of lines are absolutely amazing. The level of immersion is so strong that I watched with a heart full of passionate tears streaming down my face.
I was moved to tears. Hugs to Zuo Shuang Tao. Chen Jia Ping's domineering protection of his wife is truly the embodiment of a real man. A real man is meant to protect her, love her for a lifetime. Chen Shuang is truly blessed.
I'm done watching this drama. Guan Xiao Tong is too immature, pretending to be mature, and her acting skills and looks are not good! Han Dong Jun is not bad, his character is decent!
As someone who specializes in spy dramas, Guan Xiao Tong's portrayal is unbearable for me, I can't last 20 minutes! Wearing black stockings, overly dressed up, putting on makeup in the most conspicuous place on the train where the enemies are!
What's even more important is that as a target for the special agent, she didn't even recognize it when she bumped into her... It's a big disappointment.
Guan Xiao Tong is completely out of character. The intense plot lacks any sense of tension. The female lead was a wrong choice, her acting didn't meet the requirements of a spy drama. She's too tall and lacks chemistry with the male lead.
Even the supporting actresses could have done better. Guan's presence brings down the entire drama. If it weren't for Han Dong Jun as the male lead, I would have definitely dropped this series. Please, director, choose the actors more carefully!
The final few episodes were just too illogical. Five of Hearts and Four of Spades have been together for so long, they're in love, and Five of Hearts' beliefs have already changed. She knows what kind of person Four of Spades is, and she knows what kind of person Captain Liu is.
Didn't she say before that Captain Liu had something bright in his heart? She said Captain Liu was different from those people. Wasn't she aware of the methods used by the Military Statistics Bureau? With the example of Jiang Zhaoguo before her, why did she betray Chen Jia Ping based on one sentence from Tao Yong?
As a special agent, why didn't she analyze the situation? I thought there would be some unexpected twist based on the previews, but it just feels too strange. I don't even want to see the ending anymore; the more I watch, the worse it gets.
The content of this drama is different from other spy-themed dramas. Each character has their own uniqueness. The TV show doesn't treat the audience as fools. It's filled with tension and excitement.
From the beginning to the end, even though the male and female leads have doubts about each other, they ultimately trust and believe in each other. There are many subtle details in the series that can only be noticed through careful observation.
Zhao An and Luo Guan Qun went offline too quickly. They were constantly investigating the "Four of Clubs," but they never found out who it was even until their deaths. This part was disappointing because a gatekeeper was able to figure it out.
Throughout the entire drama, they never had any confrontation with the gatekeeper, but what's even more absurd is that Fang Fang was taken out by the gatekeeper. An undercover agent was eliminated by a gatekeeper.
