The villain didn't show up until the 29th episode. This TV drama is just nonsense, it's completely off track. The villain's role is so insignificant, merely a cameo appearance. It turns out that all the bad deeds were done by Pan Yue's subordinate.
As for He Shu, he has played Japanese characters several times before, so he didn't have the opportunity to portray a good person.
By the fourth episode, I feel like everything is a setup. The appearance of Dai Zhi Yong marks the beginning of the scheme. Dai is definitely not a bad person. He rose to the rank of Deputy Regimental Commander in the army, so he's definitely not a fool.
I believe that "Feiying" is actually someone from the Linqiang Police Station. The higher authorities brought someone from the army to set up the situation and break the scheme by introducing a sudden arrival.
Everything is not playing out according to the norm, all in order to dismantle the Feiying operation.
The anti-drug work belongs to the police force, and the basic recruitment and training procedures are more or less the same. However, in the series, the newly recruited auxiliary police officers are not even given basic training before they are put on duty.
Is this an exception? Moreover, within the police force, they suspect each other and gossip behind each other's backs without any evidence. Rumors spread unchecked...
Does it not affect the combat effectiveness of the police force? No wonder so much energy is wasted internally, and the resistance to solving cases is significant.
Dai Zhi Yong is definitely arranged by the superiors to lay out and catch Feiying, to expose the hidden traitor within the police force. I feel that Lu Jiang, Dai Zhi Yong, they are all part of the plan, including framing Lu Shan, it's all just an operation.
Lu Jiang's senior brother, Xiao Dui, and Lu Jiang's uncle, one of them must be Feiying, and the other is someone closely related to Feiying. On the other hand, Xu Ke Ji, who is openly presented, is unlikely to be cooperating with Feiying.
I watched the drama because of its title, but I won't comment on the acting. Let's talk about the plot instead. It's supposed to be a crime investigation drama, but it ended up feeling like a romantic film.
The plot is dragging, and many aspects were left unexplained. For example, Lu Shan's death—her father Lu Gao Yuan never showed any signs of knowing about it, not even the right to be informed. It's evident that the father's role was merely decorative.
Xu Mai's transition from drug addiction to disappearance only served as a side plot without proper continuity throughout the story. It's understandable that the case-solving process can be slow, but the focus of the plot seemed to be more on the hatred between the two families rather than the actual investigation.
However, even that wasn't explained clearly. It feels like every significant point was glossed over, leaving the audience confused. Honestly, as a viewer, I understood the drama, but I have no idea what the screenwriter was trying to convey.
It's a waste of talent from several good actors.
