The most profound impression I have of Yun Tian Qing is his deep and unwavering affection. From their first meeting at Qiong Hua Sect, Yun Tian Qing has been enamored with Su Yu.
However, at that time, Su Yu's heart was only filled with Xuan Xiao. During the war between Qiong Hua Sect and the Demon Realm, Yun Tian Qing and Su Yu escaped together and eventually got married.
Many people say that Su Yu was unfair to Yun Tian Qing, and even until her death, her heart still longed for Xuan Xiao. But that's how emotions are, right? There's never absolute fairness in love.
Someone always loves a little more, someone loves a little less. But for Yun Tian Qing, his love for Su Yu was so profound. He searched the entire Huangshan Mountain to find the Yin Yang Purple Palace to keep Su Yu warm.
He even cultivated a technique to drive away the cold for Su Yu, but it backfired and harmed himself. Driven by love, he died without regrets. Yun Tian Qing's love for Su Yu is truly moving, and that's one of the reasons why I adore this character.
And it's exactly because of this that Yun Tian Qing became the most heart-wrenching character in "Xianjian Four.
In terms of the early plot, the game better interpreted the theme of seeking immortality, which was not well portrayed in the TV series. The storyline involving Liu An, the King of Huainan, in the game better conveyed the meaning of seeking immortality, while it was not reflected in the series.
The theme of "Xianjian 4" is about seeking immortality, or discussing whether longevity is the criterion for being an immortal. Does one cease to be an immortal if they do not achieve longevity?
Currently, the theme is not prominent and has been shortened. Additionally, the plot involving Lvluo, which actually expressed the consequences of different attitudes towards nature, has been cut.
It also discussed the attitudes of humans, demons, and immortals in this world.
The red-clad girl, the plain-clothed boy, their initial encounter was the most beautiful moment - full of youthful exuberance, journeying together, leveling up, exploring the world.
The joys of life outweigh the sorrows. Currently, I'm eight episodes into the drama, and I'm enjoying the dynamic between Han Ling Sha, Yun Tian He, and Liu Meng Li as they come together.
The playful interactions and character arcs create an engaging atmosphere. If only we could freeze this scene forever, without parting ways, without saying goodbye. Just like when the three of them stood on the rooftop, facing the moonlit night sky, and said, "Let's always be together, never apart." It would be so wonderful.
An unexpected delight is Ju Jing Yi's character, who is lively, natural, and refreshingly charming. She brings a sense of familiarity that brightens my eyes.
Jinglan was the lover of Xiamochen in the past. When Jinglan was still alive, she had spent countless beautiful days and nights with Xiamochen. However, because Xiamochen is a mountain god and has a much longer lifespan than ordinary humans, Jinglan knew that their fate had come to an end after her death.
But she couldn't let go. She reincarnated six times, hoping to be with Xiamochen, but sometimes she was a tree, sometimes a bird, never a human. Finally, in her sixth reincarnation, she became Lianbao, a foolish child. As the ghost realm's Ren and Gui said, people often insist on pursuing something they know is impossible in love, even more so than the stars in the sky.
After the Heavenly River took away their cold artifacts, Xiamochen left Jimo with Lianbao and traveled across the five lakes and four seas.
Do you still remember the ending of the game? Yun Tian He used the Dragon's Breath within him to combine with Hou Yi's Sun-Shooting Bow and shot down the ascending Qionghua Sect. It caused blindness because using Hou Yi's Sun-Shooting Bow comes at a cost.
Han Ling Sha ultimately couldn't escape the short life caused by tomb raiding. She died young afterward. However, Yun Tian He had the Dragon's Breath given by the Candlelit Dragon, so he achieved immortality. Mu Rong Zi Ying became a sword immortal through cultivation, so she also prolonged her life.
Even after a hundred years, she was still alive, but her hair turned white. Liu Meng Li has the bloodline of the Yao clan, so she naturally lives long and inherits the leadership of the Yao realm. A hundred years later, she returns to Qingluan Peak and sees Tian He walking out of the house, but he has his eyes closed, resembling a child who has just been born and knows nothing about the world.
There are two graves next to the house, one with no words on the tombstone and the other with the words "Grave of beloved wife Han Ling Sha." The Wangshu Sword is inserted next to the tombstone. Mu Rong Zi Ying, with his back turned to Liu Meng Li, says, "It doesn't matter whether it's good or bad.
Life is like a fleeting dream. Only the Heavenly Dao remains, cycling and never changing." Afterward, he rides away with the magic sword.
The first few episodes weren't very impressive, but starting from the fifth episode, it really started to get interesting. There were some funny moments, like the silly things the male lead said, such as carrying around his father's ranking when three people were together and using it to introduce his father's acquaintances so they could reunite.
The female lead's performance was very lively, and her acting has improved compared to before. The scene where she was possessed by the fish demon was very impressive, I kept rewatching it.
There were also some funny quarrels between the female lead and the second male lead. The main couple also had good chemistry. Initially, the female lead was deceiving the male lead, but when he found out, they didn't drag it out with unnecessary misunderstandings and quickly made up.
The friendship among the four characters is also pure and sincere, as they all think of each other and help each other. I've never played the game, but if I were to judge solely based on the drama, it's very enjoyable to watch.
I hope it continues to maintain its quality.
Tired of all the ridiculous middle-aged ancient dramas, I finally got to watch this hot-blooded youth fantasy martial arts drama. Ju Jing Yi portrays Han Ling Sha, mischievous and full of tricks, exuding a youthful charm.
The male lead, Yun Tian He, is naive and inexperienced, leading to a series of comical and entertaining stories. Ju Jing Yi and Chen Zhe Yuan both have stunning looks and have improved their acting skills.
Watching the bantering and mischief between the young boys and girls makes one feel young again. The well-crafted set designs and production overall capture the essence of a fantasy martial arts drama.
In fact, the core of this drama's story is an adventurous journey of fantasy cultivation, but this journey is not only about cultivation but also about the protagonist's personal growth. As they embark on novel and thrilling adventures, various events reflect unique and multidimensional character arcs.
After watching a few episodes, I can see the sincerity of this production, and I look forward to the upcoming plot.
Yun Tian He has a great love in his heart, always remembering that humans and demons could coexist. He never disappoints his parents' expectations, and he's willing to protect his friends even at the expense of his own name.
He is a rare person, truly kind and pure. On the path of seeking immortality, no matter how many obstacles there are, he will always say, "My life is in my own hands, and I won't be controlled by others." In every decision he makes, he remains unwavering!
From ignorance to gradually understanding the ups and downs of the world, Chen Zhe Yuan's performance, though somewhat youthful, is very infectious, especially his expressive eyes.
I'm willing to accompany him on the journey of cultivating immortality and entrust my back to such a teammate, giving him my complete trust.
Liu Meng Li is truly the strongest psychological mentor in Xianjian! This family truly cannot be without Liu Meng Li! She feels like the most emotionally stable, experienced, knowledgeable, and talented member of the trio.
Tianhe is naive and unfamiliar with the ways of the world, but she patiently guides him in understanding the meaning of liking and love, teaching him that emotions are something that cannot be shared with others.
When Shasha is affected by Qinxin's story and breaks down in tears, Liu Meng Li patiently consoles her, comforting her that even if she stays by her sister's side and guards her, it won't erase the pain and guilt in her heart.
As long as she does her best to strive for the ones she loves, it's enough. She is working hard to change her sister's destiny, but isn't her sister also living and striving for her sake...
Oh my, I finally understand what effective comfort means.
Yun Tian Qing's character is impeccable! No wonder Yun Tian He is so upright and sunny! Although it was mentioned many times in the drama that Yun Tian He doesn't resemble his father in appearance, his kind and honest personality is exactly like his father's.
He takes every word of his father's teachings to heart. "Life is unpredictable, the most important thing is to be happy and free," "Everyone will die eventually, there's no point in crying," "Life and death are in our hands, change comes from within.
The earth cannot bury us, the heavens cannot harm us. This is my destiny, it lies within me and not in the heavens," "Gratitude for a drop of water should be expressed as a gushing spring," "Saving a life is more meritorious than building a seven-story pagoda"....
Yun Tian Qing is truly an excellent educator, which is why we see Yun Tian He as such an upright, kind, and sunny character!
I've played the game twice, and in the game, I actually prefer Liu Meng Li. But objectively speaking, the male lead seems to have similar feelings for both girls, just a bit more shy towards Liu Meng Li. However, it's clear that Han Ling Sha has always liked the male lead, until later when Liu Meng Li returns to the demon realm...
and then various plot twists and events happen... until the final boss battle. And on Han Ling Sha's grave, it says "beloved wife"... Even though I prefer Liu Meng Li, she leaves in the later part of the story and only comes back in the final moments.
Does that count as having two female leads? I'm not quite sure. Anyway, it's a TV drama, and it's bound to have adaptations. But I can accept them all.
At the beginning of the drama, I didn't find the character Yun Tian He very appealing, but the more I watched, the more I fell in love with him. He is like a piece of uncut jade, possessing exceptional talents while maintaining a youthful innocence.
He firmly believes in the people he trusts, even if he knows they are deceiving him, he still believes that they must have a reason. When everyone says his father is a traitor, he wants to find the truth without being submissive.
Who says Tian He is only reckless? Moreover, the male lead's acting skills are amazing. From feeling wronged and incredulous, to anticipation (when the sect leader says his father is not a traitor), to shock and disbelief, and finally, anger and determination.
I can accept this ending! Being deeply influenced by the game, I always felt that after Lingsha left, Mengli would come to accompany Tianhe, and the two of them would endure the loneliness together.
I don't know if it's because of time or what, but this drama's ending seems quite reasonable and completely acceptable. It no longer has the regret and touch of freezing the final scene in the game.
The space for my imagination has been given another closure through this drama's ending, which actually brings me a sense of relief. It's also a good ending. I take back what I said before, everyone did a great job, and this version of Mengli is also deeply engraved in my heart.
Thank you for your efforts. I hope "Immortal IV" continues to be a classic work, evoking empathy in the next generation. Also, um, I hope there won't be any more other versions and a drama focused on Yurou would be great.
This is a good stopping point.
As a die-hard player of Xianjian Sword 4, when I watch this drama, it's not about the actors or the modified storyline. What I'm watching is a sense of nostalgia, the nostalgia of Xianjian Sword 4.
I have been eagerly anticipating a remake of Xianjian Sword 4 since I first played it in 2013. I've always wondered why they made adaptations of Xianjian Swords 1, 3, and 5, but not 4. Finally, after 11 years, I saw the TV drama version of Xianjian Sword 4.
I was both excited and hesitant to watch it. The reason for my hesitation is that the TV adaptation of Xianjian Sword 5 wasn't ideal. However, today, I finally finished watching Xianjian Sword 4, not for any other reason, but for the 11 years of anticipation.
But what I didn't expect was that the storyline in the beginning was a complete mess. Couldn't they have followed the game's storyline? Disappointment and nostalgia accompanied me as I continued watching until today when I reached the finale.
Overall evaluation:
1. The abundant use of Xianjian Sword 4's original game BGM in the drama moved me to tears (particularly "Dream of Returning" and "Butterfly Love").
2.
The storyline modification was a complete mess. Important plotlines like the Thoreau Sisters in the Flame Emperor's Divine Farmer Cave were missing. The storyline of obtaining the Magic Sword at Mount Huai and the plot of Huai Mi Huai Yao were also missing, and so on.
3. The ending part was relatively well done, except for the slight regret of not having the BGM of "Dream of Returning" during the appointment a hundred years later.
This drama is still worth watching.
As players, we should not only focus on its flaws but truly embrace and love this drama version of Xianjian Sword 4 as a form of nostalgia. To quote Ziying, "Only Xianjian Sword 4 remains eternal, repeating the cycle, and remaining unchanged.
The above is just my personal opinion. If you don't like it, please don't criticize.
After several naive and kind-hearted young boys and girls with pure hearts meet, they embark on a journey of leveling up and fighting monsters, experiencing their own growth and encountering various characters. The focus is on personal development rather than the melodramatic and tortured love stories that often prevail.
It's really surprising to see how rare this simple and straightforward tale of passionate young boys and girls growing up has become. It truly brings back nostalgic memories.
There are so many amazing original soundtracks in this drama. "Xianjian Wenqing" is one of them. I wonder if they will use the original version of "Huimeng Youxian" for the ending. I really want to know if there will be a subplot about the magic sword, and what will happen to the two tombstones in the end.
I'm just afraid that the screenwriter will alter the original storyline of the game and not let Han Ling Sha die. And I don't care if I get criticized, I'm watching this drama because it's "Xianjian IV". I don't care who acts in it or how well they perform, as long as it stays true to the original.
In a certain sense, Tianhe is an absolute powerhouse. He is familiar with everything in the wilderness, capable of protecting himself, including the swordsmanship he uses, which he learned from his father. Although he may not appear as upright and orthodox as the noble sects, he is incredibly formidable in actual combat.
He is a natural young boy, similar to other boys his age, who loves to eat, play, and even sleep in. The only difference is that he believes everything in the world can be controlled by his own hands, not by fate.
Lingsha returned to the Qingluan Peak with Tianhe before her death. Luckily, Tianhe was by her side until the very last moment. For her, this place was both a beginning and an end. After death, she did not enter the cycle of reincarnation but dissipated completely.
Tianhe defied fate, losing his sight but gaining immortality due to the Candle Dragon's breath within him. With his hair turned white, he became Ziyin Zhenren in the Gujian Qitan. During that time, he always carried the Nine Dragon Bound Silk Sword tassel that Lingsha had given him.
Mengli followed her parents' orders and returned to the demon realm.
Huai Shuo sacrificed himself to protect Ziyin and died by the hands of a fellow sect member. Before his death, he worried about Xuan Ji having no one to take care of her.
Xuan Ji, while ascending to the Qionghua, died in the icy and snowy landscape, holding the fireflies that Huai Shuo had caught for her.
I'll give my review after watching up to episode 5. The story seems to capture the essence of the game quite well, and the visual effects are impressive.
Yun Tian He, at least in the first few episodes that I've seen so far, comes across as a bit naive but pure-hearted. He's the kind of person who would do anything for his friends, incredibly pure and good-natured.
The voice acting also gives off a youthful vibe. I'm looking forward to seeing how the storyline develops as Yun Tian He grows, and I imagine his voice acting will become more mature.
I'm also curious about Jimo Huadeng. Chen Zhe Yuan's performance is great, and I've seen him before in "The Legend of the Little Fish." He was quite spirited in that role, so I'm excited to see how he performs in this drama.
After watching so many episodes, Tianhe has always upheld purity, stayed true to himself, and followed his own ideas. He is willing to risk everything to protect the people he cares about. When Lingsha is in danger, he protects her without hesitation, even using his own life to guard her.
When everyone discovers that Mengli is a demon and wants to get rid of her, Tianhe continues to believe in her and protect her. Lingsha and Tianhe are also unwavering in their trust in Mengli, regardless of whether she is human or demon.
During the time they spend together with Mengli, Tianhe and the others realize that not all demons are evil and they learn the importance of helping and supporting each other, growing together and protecting one another.
This is their story, and while the TV show may have an ending, their story will never truly end.
