The historian Tuo Ling taught Guo Jing, who was still young, but Guo Jing stood up to them and was scolded along with them. At the same time, the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan came to this place and, seeing the dagger in Guo Jing's hand, recognized him as the child of Guo Xiaotan and Li Ping, and took Guo Jing as their disciple. That year, the notorious Black Whirlwind killers Mei Chaofeng and Chen Xuanfeng also came to the Great Desert to pursue the Seven Freaks of Jiangnan. In the fierce battle, Guo Jing was captured by Chen Xuanfeng, but also accidentally wounded Chen Xuanfeng's vital point, causing Chen Xuanfeng's tragic death. Episode 2: Guo Jing and Huang Rong broke into the prince's mansion in the dead of night.

Seeing that the Prince Huang Rong was about to renege on his promise, Guo Jing, who was watching from the sidelines, could not bear to see it and reminded Prince Huang Rong that his behavior was inappropriate and that he should marry Mu Nian Ci as agreed. Mu Yi quietly followed Princess Bao Sanniang to her residence. After Wen Yan Hong Lei left, Mu Yi appeared in Bao Sanniang's room. At first, Bao Sanniang did not recognize Mu Yi's true identity, but when he mentioned the events of Niu Jia Village years ago, Bao Sanniang realized that the man in front of her was her husband Yang Tie Xin, whom she had missed for eighteen years. Episode 5: Guo Jing and Huang Rong Declare Their Love

Yang Kang was ambushed and mistaken for a Jin dynasty spy. Zhou Botong befriended Guo Jing as brothers and taught him his martial arts. Mu Nianci understood Yang Kang's dissatisfaction with his descent from the clouds to the dirt, and she expressed that she would always accompany Yang Kang. Episode 14: Guo Jing and Yang Ke competed for Huang Rong's hand in marriage.

The Evil Cult Leader (Huang Yao Shi) apologized to the Laughing Condor (Qiu Chuji) for keeping him trapped on Peach Blossom Island for 15 years. He allowed Qiu Chuji to leave the island and take Guo Jing with him. However, Huang Yao Shi was displeased that Guo Jing had deceived him, so he called off the marriage arrangement between Guo Jing and his daughter Huang Rong. As Guo Jing and the others were leaving the island by boat, the boat was attacked and set on fire, forcing them to jump into the water. Huang Rong, Guo Jing, and Hong Qigong drifted at sea for several days until they finally encountered a ship. They were rescued onto the ship, only to discover that it belonged to the Jin commander Wan Yan Hong Lie. Episode 17: Guo Jing and Huang Rong were trapped on the Jin people's ship.

Ouyang Feng came to find Guo Jing, but Guo Jing's Nine Yin Manual was obscure and difficult for Ouyang Feng to understand, making him suspect that Guo Jing had given him a fake manual.  Zhou Botong appeared to protect Hong Qigong and the others. Episode 18: Guo Jing was wounded during the disturbance in the Forbidden Palace.

Guo Jing was determined to protect the "Legacy of Wumu" at all costs, but he never expected that Yang Kang would choose to betray him. Yang Kang stabbed Guo Jing in the back, leaving Guo Jing deeply disappointed that the brother he had always trusted had chosen to side with the Jin people. Episode 27: Yang Kang died tragically after being bitten by a viper.

Although Ke Zhen E was grateful to Huang Rong for saving his life multiple times, he wanted to kill Huang Rong so that Huang Yao Shi would know the pain of losing a loved one, since his own brothers had died at Huang Yao Shi's hands. Guo Jing returned to the grasslands, learning that the Khan had been troubled by Wan Yan Hong Lie. He regretted not being able to kill Wan Yan Hong Lie to relieve the Khan's worry. Guo Jing reunited with Huang Rong, hoping she would not leave his side in the future.Ouyang Feng was lured to the snowy mountains, seeing no one arrive as promised, and complained that the young people were not honest. Guo Jing united the Beggar Clan members to search for Huang Rong, but they could not find any clues about her for a month. Guo Jing questioned Tie Mu Zhen about the tremendous achievements in his life, and how many skeletons and tears of widows and orphans they were bought with. He believed that true heroes are those who protect the common people, and killing many does not necessarily make one a hero.
