Plot Synopsis
In order to resist the fate imposed upon her and the forced "unwanted husband," Huo Xing Chen, the daughter of the head of the FivePeaks Sect, resolutely steps into the martial world. With her courage, resilience, and the companionshipof her loved ones and friends, she grows and matures during her journey, unraveling various conspiracies and ultimately realizing her ideals.
The story is set in an extremely absurd martial world, where the roles of the male and female leads are distinctly defined. To change the situation where women are not allowed to venture into the martial world, Huo Xing Chen, despite lacking martialprowess, boldly takes action, not backing down even when facing insurmountable challenges.
Additionally, in the drama, Jiang Bu Ting often displays a tough exterior but a soft heart, while Mu Binghe frequently embodies theperfect narcissist with his "confident remarks." Mu Yao Guang vividlyportrays the image of a love-struck character, and everywhere one looks, there is an infinite overlay ofpink filters. Jiang Bu Yingpossesses unmatched martial skills but lacks flexibility in his thinking...

A nonsensical comedy, but it only had some funny moments at the beginning. Watching more episodes, it became illogical and unfunny, lacking substance. The male second lead is a familiar face, but his role is even more pitiful than a supporting character.
And the female protagonist doesn't even know if she has internal energy or martial arts skills, which is just ridiculous... The title of the drama is a mockery of the female lead. The groom is being PUAed by the male second lead and lectured by the male lead.
Is he being courted or being treated like a father... The plot becomes more and more unbearable later on, and the female lead disguises herself as a man with a fake beard and still wears eye-catching lipstick.
Are they assuming the audience is blind?
The character with the strongest tragic elements in the drama is undoubtedly Mu Bing He. He is the protector of the Cang Wei Sect and childhood sweetheart of Xing Chen. In his youth, due to his cowardice and fear, he failed to stand up and protect Xing Chen in time, which later became his inner demon and obsession. So at the beginning of the drama, Bing He habitually says to Xing Chen, "I'll protect you," without understanding that what Xing Chen desires is not to be a caged bird behind a man but to soar in the sky like a mythical bird. Therefore, they are destined to be incompatible. Bing He is well aware of this, but he constantly emphasizes or deceives himself into believing that Xing Chen loves him. When this illusion is shattered by someone else, there is a momentary expression of disappointment and sorrow on his face. He desperately wishes that Xing Chen's love for him is genuine. In the end, he sacrifices himself by taking a blow from his own father in front of Xing Chen, dying in her arms. Xing Chen holds his hand while crying, and Bing He achieves his redemption. He finally protects Xing Chen, but it is too late. One wrong step after another, he ultimately cannot fulfill his promise of becoming a heroic duo with Xing Chen. Life is not always perfect, and regrets are a common occurrence. On the road back to the martial world, they came with dust and dirt, after all, gods do not alleviate the suffering of all beings.
Mu took Xing away for his own sake, and everyone says he was wrong. Yao Guang harmed the interests of the family for her own sake, and everyone says that one should consider oneself more. One person harmed the interests of others, and the other harmed the interests of the family. So, is love greater than everything? In fact, the rarest people in this world are those who are willing to sacrifice their own interests for others. We constantly say that people should consider themselves, yet we hope for those selfless individuals who can help us. Huh.
To be honest, the plot of this drama is really average, but for some reason, it's inexplicably hilarious, and there's a certain addictive quality to it. The dialogue, the actors' performances, and even the various accents all contribute to making it irresistible. It's hard to stop watching, except for the fact that the costumes in this show are really lacking and disappointing in terms of quantity.
It's rare to come across a show that I can't even watch at triple speed. Despite some highlights like good visual filters, sweet and silly romantic moments, and adorable male and female lead characters that have some chemistry, the plot is truly the weakest point.
The zombie storyline is cliché, not to mention the excessive focus on a single side character that spans over a dozen episodes. Is that really necessary? And let's not forget the female lead suddenly gaining immense power inside the alchemy furnace—isn't that a copy of Sun Wukong?
Many aspects of the show feel quite childish. There's a reason why this show was taken off the air in just three days. Nowadays, scriptwriters should understand that mindless sweet and silly romance is no longer the trend.
Please, put some thought into character relationships and plot development. It's a pity considering the increasingly excellent cinematography we see these days.
