Plot Synopsis

In 1948, after thepublication of the "May First Manifesto", a groupofpatriotic and democratic figures in Hong Kong, represented byProfessor Tong Jiang Nan, actively responded to the call of the CommunistParty andprepared to retuto the liberated area. The reactionary Kuomintang suppressed and sabotaged this, dispatching special agents such as Luo Guan Ying to impersonate communists and attempt to deceive democratic figures likeProfessor Tong.

The underground CPC worker Su Xing was tasked with going to Hong Kong and engaging in a life-and-death struggle with the Kuomintang special agents. As soon as Su Xing arrived in Hong Kong, the enemy killed Tu Zhe, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Ta KungPao newspaper, who had introduced Su Xing toProfessor Tong, which created great difficulties for his work.

To quickly gainProfessor Tong's trust, Su Xing started by investigating Tu Zhe's murderer, uncovering Luo Guan Ying's direct contact Dang Xun Qi and discovering the hidden special agent "Honeybee". He was able toprevent the Kuomintang's attempt to takeProfessor Tong out of Hong Kong, rescue the democratic figures, and successfully escortProfessor Tong and others safely back to the liberated area.
