Plot Synopsis

"The First Shot" is set against the backdropof a sudden drug crisis and tells the story of a makeshiftpolice force in Halan City, Northeast China, striving to uphold social justice. The narrative unfolds in a uniqueperiod before the establishment of the Narcotics Control Bureau in 1998, as a murder case exposes a covert and cunning large-scale drug trafficking organization. In response, the Halan CityPolice Department forms a special task force led by Chief Detective Zheng Bei (played by Huang Jing Yu), bringing together elite detectives from various units to combat the ruthless drug cartel.

Throughout the series, these young detectives face not only cunning criminals and complex cases but also the emotional and legal dilemmas that challenge their sense of justice and humanity. With determination, intelligence, and courage, they navigate through layers of intrigue, ultimately dismantling the drug organization and ensuring the safety of their community.
